This house has the potential to be a great getaway! It is private and secluded. The bedrooms and bathrooms are good size. There is a very large back porch where guests can sit and have plenty of space for solitude or enough space to have a party. There are three floors in the House, very spacious and one can get a bit disoriented moving about the House. There is a large combo dining/living room on the first floor with several smaller rooms off the main room, to include a reading/sitting room, and a room with a pool table. There is a second floor loft which overlooks the large kitchen. The front porch runs the length of the house with a smaller deck off the kitchen area. The house is in need of much needed TLC and continued upkeep.There was a very strong presence of mold, both in the House and on the outdoor furniture. The ferry runs during the day from Stony Creek to the islands. When trying to call to schedule a ferry outside of operating hours, you cannot leave a message, but are told to call back. Thankfully there was not an emergency as there is no helo pad on the island. There is no air conditioning or ceiling fans and many of the windows did not have screens on them. The refrigerators are old and struggled to keep food cold. Toilets were recommended to only flush after a bowel movement. There was no electricity. Not exactly sure what the issue was. Generator not working? Solar panels blocked? Hot water was available and did lend to a hot shower. Unsure of the water source. Possible well? With continual care, upkeep and attention, this can be a wonderful getaway. read more

We visited Grace Island for a weekend getaway. Property is very neat and in a beautiful environment. If you love nature, you got it! Customer service was outstanding, property has the perfect layout for spending time away from home, beyond what we expected. Getting there was quite easy. We had so much fun and enjoyed the sea breeze. We are so impressed with the quality of service and already planning to go back in the summer. read more

This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been and I am a world traveler. The house was clean and neat, the staff were polite and kind, the weather was fantastic and no air conditioning was necessary, even though they provided portable air conditioners.
