Like the other reviewers, Grace has been cutting my hair for years! Now that I really think about it, she has been cutting my hair for 14 years. So yah, she really is that good because I have gone to other barbers during that time but always came back to Grace. Even during my 6 years in the Army, I would routinely commute from Ft. Bragg to Chapel Hill and have Grace cut my hair instead of the guys on base. Throughout the years, I have always been more than pleased with Grace, her skill and professionalism. Grace is great for UNC students. She's a little off campus, but it's worth the walk. Very friendly and professional, and her station is always quite clean. She does a great job each time and is usually quick (which I think is a good thing). I've never been unhappy with my haircut and she keeps reasonable prices. She also has a selection of products if you need to purchase them. I always just do a walk-in and rarely have to wait more than ten minutes to get in the chair. I moved to Chapel Hill in mid-summer 2015 and needed to find someone who could do as good of a job as my former stylist in my hometown. Grace clearly knows what she is doing, is nice and really cares that customers get what they want and look good with their new hairstyle. This place is exactly what I need: getting a high-quality haircut for a low price in a home-y, not big-fancy-salon atmosphere. I also went with no appointment and didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes. Grace Hair shares a space with Legend Barbershop, making the whole place reminiscent of a old-fashioned barber shop. Everyone is served in the order they arrived. All haircuts are $25. Grace is a tiny person doing rapid-fire cuts to one customer after another. She cut my hair so fast I couldn't believe the cut would be any good, but it was! Even and shaped correctly. At $25 per cut, she represents one of the best values in town. Plus it's a great experience. Take a seat and await your turn! read more

I've been going to Grace for haircuts since 2006. She's wonderful. When I moved back to NY for a few years, I would specifically get my haircut with Grace whenever I came back down to Chapel Hill. She runs a really efficient shop, which I love. I usually message her the day I want to come in to let her know. Grace Hair is the only place I go to have my hair cut and highlighted - and I no longer even live in NC! This is one of the first places I go when I'm back in town. Grace is highly skilled, speedy and very affordable. I used to go to Aveda because of their prices, but Grace does a much better job in half the time, and her prices are competitive. After going to a few other places to get a haircut in the Chapel Hill area, I tried out Grace Hair once and have gone back there ever since. She does a very good job giving haircuts and is very attentive of how I wanted it to be cut. I have always left the place satisfied. I went to Grace for a trim - about 2-3 inches - because my hair was super dead. She cut off exactly the right amount and preserved the length and layers.
