The Brow Haus is owned by the licensed esthetician Amy Howard who has many years of experience. She…read moreoffers services such as permanent makeup (e.g., brows, eyeliner, and lips), brow styling (e.g., brow stain and lamination), scar camouflage, lash lifts and tints, and permanent jewelry (e.g., metal and enamel bracelets and necklaces). Throughout my entire life, I have had sparse eyebrows, likely because of genetics. I got tired of using makeup to fill in my eyebrows, so I visited The Brow Haus for permanent makeup. During my free consultation with Amy, she spoke very nicely with me, and she generously spent extra time to map my planned brows with makeup, calipers, and string. I think that these brows followed my bone structure and clearly showed what my permanent brows would look like. We decided that because I have oily skin, we would do powder brows, which use small, pixelated drops of color that look soft and do not fade as much. I underwent three powder-brow sessions: in late January, in late March, and in late May. My first appointment in January lasted about 2.5 hours. I filled out an online health/consent form that was several pages long and asked for appropriate information. Amy reviewed everything that we had previously discussed, again mapped my eyebrows with makeup, and applied a local anesthetic. When my skin was numb, she used a PMU machine and needles to insert pigments into my skin. Afterward my eyebrows looked fuller and darker as expected. In the following weeks, I used a gentle cleanser and a healing balm on my eyebrows, and I avoided sun, exercise, etcetera. During days 1-3, my brows appeared dark and had slightly red skin. My skin did not flake really at all, and most of the pigment faded. In late March, I visited Amy for a touchup. In about two hours, she mapped my eyebrows, cleansed and numbed my skin, and used different needles to insert pigments. These touchup brows looked a bit more solid and filled in than my previous brows but still had some bare areas. Therefore, in late May I returned for a second touchup. At the time of this review, one month has passed, so my skin has fully healed. I will attach photos of my final brows to this review so you can see what they look like.

I can't recommend Amy at The Brow-Haus enough! Her studio is so warm and inviting, and she…read moreinstantly makes you feel comfortable. Amy takes the time to really listen to how you want your brows to look, making sure you feel confident every step of the way. This is probably the fifth time she has worked on my brows, and I love how they've evolved from the initial appointment to their current perfected look. I couldn't be more satisfied with the results. If you're unsure about microblading, Amy's patient, friendly, and professional approach will put you at ease--I would recommend her to anyone!
