I have been trying to write this review for months. My mom passed suddenly in April. One of her absolute favorite things were butterflies. I knew that I definitely wanted to release butterflies at her memorial service. I searched high and low and did days of research before coming upon Grace & Honor. Not only did they have the best prices, there website was easy to navigate. I thought it was a bit archaic that you had to phone in your order but hey, that was no big deal. I had the pleasure of speaking with Daniel. Daniel, is extremely friendly, patient, sympathetic towards my reason for ordering and outrageously helpful. Daniel e planned everything I needed to know about caring for the butterflies as well as emailing the information. I had to send an Uber driver to pick the butterflies up. Daniel even have verbal instructions to the Uber driver. Well, we followed all of his instructions and ever single butterfly was alive and well. My review is based on the White Dove Release service for my nephew's funeral on 3/18/22. We found that Grace & Honor had the best value on doves throughout the LA/OC area offers. Daniel reached out via phone after an inquiry online. After booking, an invoice was sent via email with an easy option to pay online. Following the payment, we followed up a few days before to confirm. On the day of service Daniel showed up right on time. We introduced Daniel to our guests and he gave a very thoughtful speech and showed his professionalism. After the speech, Daniel passed out doves to our loved ones and instructed us to form a circle around my nephew. My nephew's mom and sister released a dove from the cage. Following that bird's flight, we released our doves. It was a magical moment to watch the birds carry our love messages to the sky. The doves circled above us all for a bit before taking flight back home. Everything was clearly explained both on their website and in person at pick up. You must pick up the butterflies at the home base where they grow them. So be ready to travel but worth the mileage. Once I arrived for pick up, I was in awe of the scenery of all these beautiful butterflies fluttering around in their habitat. It was so serene and captivating to see. My order was ready for pick up and they take the time to explain how to care for the butterflies and how to open the individual boxes, which was very helpful. I ordered 24 butterflies in individual boxes and the butterflies could be heard fluttering inside so I knew they were okay. The boxes itself were so nice and designed so the butterflies get plenty of ventilation and are happy inside.
