He came out the next day, and replaced all of the gaskets around the roofing vents. He showed me a before and after picture of the gaskets. He surmised that a squirrel could have chewed into the gasket, trying to get into our house. I think that he is right, because other neighbors have squirrels in their attic. He is a nice guy, very professional, timely in his response and does not cost you an arm and a leg. I would hire him again in the future!

That seemed like a lot of money for a day's work, but I said 'So be it' to myself. He added that the price might be higher if he had to buy new wood and metal to do the job well. He then said that he would be 'hands-on' but, as soon as he dropped off his workers, he left the job and didn't come back. When he returned days later, he told me that I owed him another $2,200. When I balked at this, he got testy and, so, lowered the additional charge to $1,700 ('because I want to work for you again,' he said). I challenged him to itemize the extra costs. He said that the additional wood was $300 and the additional metal was $500. I asked what accounted for the other $900 that he was demanding. 'Additional labor costs,' was his answer. I pointed out that his initial price had to have included the laborers' pay for the day - and they finished the job before 5 pm. Tom started sulking; then he became irate: 'Just give me the $5,000 - forget the rest.' It was a good ploy. I felt sorry for him, so I wrote a check for $6,000 - not the $7,200 that he wanted nor the $6,700 that he then proffered as a compromise. A qualified professional, who knows my house, said that $5,000 for new gutters and general maintenance of the system was a very high but not completely unreasonable charge for the work. But Tom's demand for an additional $2,200, then $1,700, was, this professional said, outrageous: 'He saw that you willingly paid the $5,000, so he figured that he could extract another couple of thousand from you.' I liked Tom personally but regret paying him what I did. I urge, then, whomever might hire him to be strong in negotiating about the job - and not to give in to his emotional ploys to price gouge.

Carlos and Victor remodeled my entire bathroom, removing and reinstalling new tile, a vanity, mirror, light fixture, toilet and other bathroom accessories in addition to spackling and painting. From start to finish, Carlos demonstrated an extreme attention to detail and a genuine commitment to making sure everything was done properly. He does not cut corners, and he takes the time to do things the right way even when it requires extra effort. For example, he noticed that my bathroom floor was not properly leveled, something that could have easily been overlooked or simply worked around. Instead, he took the time to correct the problem and make sure everything was properly leveled before continuing with the project. He even painted door trim outside of my bathroom to make sure it transitioned well with the bathroom, something that was not his responsibility. That level of care and thoroughness is exactly what you hope for in a contractor. The spackling and painting were absolutely immaculate. I have hired professional painters in the past who did not come close to the quality of the paint job Carlos delivered. Painting is 90% prep work: sanding and spackling. You can tell when a contractor understands the difference prep work makes, and Carlos and his group certainly does. Carlos and his crew were also kind, respectful, professional, and a pleasure to have working in my home. They were extremely conscientious about keeping everything clean throughout the project. In fact, I commented to my husband that my house looked cleaner after they left than it did before they started! Another thing that really stood out to me was the pricing. His prices are more than fair considering the quality of work, attention to detail, and level of care he provides. You TRULY feel that Carlos takes pride in his work and wants his customers to be completely satisfied with the finished product. It is VERY rare to find that these days. Last March 2024, during an especially windy day a country club's tree came down and whacked the rear of my house, starting from the highest roof, ripping down wires and landed on my detached garage where it sat until PECO could make it safe. I initially gave the go ahead for my insurer, who I'll call SF, to send out a contractor to assess the damage. Well someone came out, slapped a tarp on the hole in the garage, but seemed dismissive of the house damage. And then I heard nothing for the longest time. So, getting concerned I called Impriano to get their opinion, as is my right, since I had a good experience with them 13 years ago with a new roof. Jack Impriano came out and did a very thorough inspection finding a lot more damage than SF's contractor did, including a split rafter in the garage roof. He looked at the plan for repair that the adjuster had drawn up finding it completely inadequate, so he drew up his own. He basically worked directly with the adjuster, all while updating me about what was going on. There were many problems such as the SF contractor sending the wrong information to SF that led them to believe the work was complete when nothing was repaired. The contractors invoice included pictures that wasn't even my property. Jack Impriano handled everything, everything is repaired/replaced, their crew came out in the most inhospitable weather and did an excellent job. You could tell how well done my 13 year old roof was when shingles were removed. It's amazing how nice our new roof and siding looks. It's peace of mind working with a company that takes pride in their work, and there's good reason they've been around for so long. I didn't realize they also handle windows which is on my to do list.
