The grounds are always a mess and the repairs to properly maintain the apartments are neglected beyond belief. The manager misled me into believing that damages left by the former tenant would be taken care of by using the security deposit, but later told me the repairs wouldn't be approved and provided only a vague excuse about "aesthetics".The laundry room is usually disgusting and rarely cleaned. The appliances and electric floorboard heaters are at least 20 yrs old and much needed renovations are left undone. I thought conditions would improve and I was wrong! I've learned that complaining accomplishes nothing, they only want your monthly rent check and obviously don't care what you think, even if you're right. It starts onsite with the manager reporting to the owners.The new Manager Cindy, the owners have recently hired seems to really take time to listen to our concerns and address them all in a timely manner, As I have seen the owners do when items were brought to their attention directly. I already saw a diffrence in the month that she has been in the office. I had thought about moving, but after seeing the drastic change, I have decided to remain in my apartment and continue to watch the success of this building thrive to the beauty I know it can be! The two young men, who are volunteer firefighters, getting paid about $42 each for 2 hours. Since we had lots of boxes packed, most were donations from downsizing to move. I was very specific that they were to be given to a charity. My favorite charity may have been closed but there is at least one more on the way. I was told no one would take the donations so they don't know what happened to all the nice stuff. I offered them anything they might have wanted but they said no but in order to do this, we HAVE TO RENT A U-HAUL! i GAVE THE YOUNG MEN $300 IN CASH AND THEN THE OWNER, CHARGED MY CREDIT CARD $467 MORE DOLLARS FOR THE RENTAL U-HAUL! He does not have a truck for moving, but simply for his tools. Do NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES MAKE ARRANGEMENTS WITH HIM BY PHONE. MAKE HIM GIVE YOU EVERYTHING IN WRITING - IT IS THE ONLY WAS I WAS REFUNDED THE $467 ON MY CREDIT CARD. SAD!
