Gourmondo is my favorite caterer in the Seattle area as it offers delicious food, delivered and set up for your event with easy clean up. We had a fantastic experience with Gourmondo; it was easily our favorite caterer of the bunch we tried. For our late night meetings, we usually get catering for our dinner, and Gourmondo was a caterer we recently tried and loved! There were bites of meat skewers, deviled eggs, charcuterie, hummus and veggies, breads, and it all came with compostable plates and utensils. Usually, we have leftovers from our catered dinners, but there was hardly any with Gourmondo's! The food was delicious. Some of my favorites were the salmon skewers, fresh veggies with the yogurt ranch dipping sauce, flatbread, and roasted zucchini with the charcuterie board! Love it! What's also nice is that Gourmondo delivered to our office, and everything was neatly arranged and labeled. The clean up was easy peasy as the platters, plates, utensils could be discarded. I've hired Gourmondo many times over the years and always highly recommend them as their food is always so good Several in my group decided to split our sandwiches and salads, so we could try a number of different things. I had a slice of the Turkey Bacon sammy, Pork Bahn Mi sammy, Sumac Veggie sammy and Soba Noodle & Antioxidant Boost salads and they were all yummy and freshly made. I had a very good experience with Gourmondo's! I would like to commend them with their lunch box preparations. I ordered 50 box lunches to pay appreciation to our construction team for Safety Week. I am exteremly happy with the preparations. Everything was individually wrapped, which was very important due to covid restrictions on buffet style catering. The boxes are filled with so many delicious things. You get a sandwich, a salad, a roll with butter, a bag of chips, brownie, and a mint. Yes they may be a little more on the pricey end but you get what you pay for. They arrived exactly on time as well and my appreciation event went very smoothly. On top of all of that, several of the boxes profits go to various charities, which is an added bonus in helping our community during the Covid crisis. They also have all kinds of gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan options as well. I had the CHILDHAVEN BOX: Svaneti Spiced Steak Salad with Candied Walnuts, Blue Cheese, Pickled Red Onions, Green Leaf-Romaine Mix and a Fig-Balsamic Vinaigrette, which was delicious! We have asked Gourmondo to deliver for a group of 8 people a lunch catering during a full day meeting. We have received three dishes: - Soy Sesame Salmon - Bolognas Meat Lasagne - Soba Noodle Salad See pictures attached. The Salmon was cold just as well as the Noodle Salad. For this catering I was charged $288, which I think is completely exaggerated. I am not saying that the quality is bad, though not exceptional, but the pricing is just out of control. There are so many good place around our office (we are downtown 4th/pike Street) that it is just as easy to walk downstairs, spend $120 on food and have significantly more reasonable price/performance ratio, than delivered by Gourmondo for $288. It is not that I am not sued to US-pricing, which I find usually not over the top comparing to other places around the world, but it is certainly a case of completely overpriced in this case. I had the Soba Noodle Salad box at an event. It was a vegan option so I thought I'd try it. Not the best choice. I mistakenly thought the noodles would be soba or buckwheat noodles -WRONG! The "salad" was very, very bad. First off, the noodles were like yakisoba noodles which are vastly different from the typical soba noodles. It was like eating cold yakisoba only far less palatable. As far as caling it a "salad", that was a stretch too. it was a glop of cold noodles stuck together with a few items sprinkled on top. I saw less than 1 shitake, saw the honshimeji - and they weren't pickled- with a few julienne carrots and maybe 1 sugar snap pea cut up. I took one bite and threw the rest away because it was SO BAD. I am a frequent business traveler and visit customers up and down the west coast, specifically in Seattle often. I asked a particular client for a recommendation so that I could order lunch into an all-day meeting but totally spaced on ordering from his recommendation, Gourmondo, until it was too late the day before. I frantically called in the morning with perfectly reasonable expectations that they would tell me they couldn't accommodate same-day orders for delivery. To my pleasant surprise, the woman on the other end of the phone said she'd check if they could squeeze me into the lunch route and after a few back and forth calls, I had my 11-box order confirmed for delivery. Their food is SO yummy, they always deliver on time and they offer lots of great options to fit dietary restrictions. My absolute favorite thing they offer is the broccolini. It's fresh, spicy, flavorful, healthy...the most delicious broccolini you'll ever have! I live in a mostly senior community. Usually the food bank comes to our apartment complex and helps out the seniors but right now in our trying times there is no food bank visits. Gourmondo really is an angel, they have been leaving box lunches at the resident doors and the food is amazing. I know it brings smiles to faces here because it's so good and in neat boxes. Gourmondo catered our wedding reception and we were absolutely floored by the presentation and once we tasted everything, the sublime, fresh flavors! We went with a heavy appetizer mix that included boccatini mozzarella skewers (mozzarella, grape tomatoes and fresh basil leaves), chicken salad on edible spoons, mesquite salmon fingers (who knew salmon had fingers???), roasted new potatoes filled with manchego, caramelized onions and bacon, brioche tartlets topped with crisp prosciutto, apple and roquefort, individual crudites (assorted veggies and dip), beef tenderloin sliders with horseradish, pasta salad with prawns in individual-sized Chinese to-go containers, petite paninos, and a cheese/fruit/nut platter with bread. I must say, everything was absolutely wonderful! There wasn't one item that was a disappointment. I believe the new potatoes went first, followed by the prosciutto tartlets. My father negotiated a spot next to the tenderloin sliders and wouldn't give up his spot for anything! The salmon fingers had a wonderful smoky flavor that make the taste buds sing. Not only was the presentation spot-on, the quality and flavors of the food was as well. Everyone wanted to know the name of the caterer as they were just wowed by the food. One piece of advice to Gourmondo, make sure to drop off a few business cards whenever you're catering as I could have easily passed out a small stack; everyone wanted to know who made the amazing food. I recently attended a retreat that was catered by Seattle-based Gourmondo - a full service catering company. As someone with a food allergy, I was concerned that I'd have a difficult time maneuvering a buffet-type spread. Gourmondo was aware of my allergy and packaged our items accordingly so I could enjoy the food without incident! The other guests were able to easily incorporate those ingredients into the dishes. During the retreat, we enjoyed the following items: - Margarita chicken sliders with a relish of apricot, cilantro, chili flakes, and tequila. - Cuban pulled pork sliders with caramelized onions, cilantro, and garlic-jalapeño aioli. - Pita and bread with olive tapenade, mesquite-smoked hummus, and tzatziki. - Gourmondo's signature mesquite salmon. - Caprese kabobs with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and fresh basil. - The Gourmondo salad with mixed greens, Roquefort, candied walnuts, pears, and creamy sherry vinaigrette. - Potato gratin with imported cheeses and fresh herbs. - Salad with orecchiette, corn, fresh basil, cherry tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, and champagne vinaigrette. - Basil Pesto Pasta Salad with penne, grape tomatoes, imported Grana, and toasted pine nuts. - Vegetarian Lasagna with roasted vegetables, and fresh ricotta in a house-made marinara. - Traditional Bolognese meat lasagna with ground beef, pork, and bacon in a creamy Béchamel sauce topped with imported cheese. - Caesar Salad with crisp Romaine hearts, house-made Croutons, Grana, and a house-made dressing. Every single item was superb and wonderfully prepared. Nothing felt overly seasoned or cooked poorly. My friends enjoyed the items that I could not. Folks particularly enjoyed the two lasagnas and the potato gratin. I reveled in those salmon skewers like a hungry otter on a mission! I highly recommend Gourmondo for their use of fresh ingredients locally sourced from small organic farms and vendors. I sampled Gourmondo's catering at a gallery party at BoConcept and couldn't stop myself from making trips back to the food tables. PROS: 1. Interesting carbolicious hors d'oeuvres. There were cream cheese smoked salmon rolls with caviar, puff pastry bites with more cream cheese (dallops on top), mini panino sandwiches, edible paprika-lined spoons with Chardonnay chicken salad, and fresh pasta salad served in individual sized Chinese take-out style boxes. 2. Constant replenishing of the platters. Never an empty platter. 3. Staff aplenty walking around collecting used dishes, trash, etc. CONS: 1. Nothing healthy-ish aka no fruit or veggie heavy hors d'oeuvres. Just carbs. 2. Flavors were on the bland side. The bites would have been tastier if the flavors were stronger and more spice was utilized. read more

My company orders lunches for client meetings at least once a month. People on my floor get a certain look in their eye when we say there are Gourmondo leftovers. Specialty's leftovers spark a certain amount of interest, but I think some would practically kill for Gourmondo. This is amazingly good (catered) food. Expensive, but that's what corporate accounts are for. We usually order sandwiches, bread, salad, a side, and dessert. The sandwiches are superb. Really really good, my personal favorite is the roasted chicken. The bread is delicious and it's got this aioli or something that makes it perfect. Also, the sandwiches are compact and not over-full, which makes them easier to eat during a business meeting (or on the go) than, say, a Specialty's sandwich. The bread basket is French bread I think, served w/ butter and a herb garnish. It's really good when dipped in the vinaigrette meant for the salad!! My favorite overall item is the Mediterranean Pasta Salad. Super garlicky, huge chunks of feta and tomatoes, kalamata olives, green beans and peppers. To die for, and I never say that. My coworker is a huge fan of the Gourmondo Salad (mixed greens, pears, candied walnuts, stinky cheese, and sherry vinaigrette) and the Seasonal Salad (mixed greens, Parmesan, hazelnuts, dried -- but still moist -- cherries, and balsamic vinaigrette). Occasionally we order the Israeli Couscous, which is very good as well, and they give you enough to feed a small army. Spicy Sauteed Green Beans with Cashews is the side dish we always order. Yum!! We usually order the dessert platter and let Gourmondo make the picks. The cookies aren't always the best, but the lemon bars are amazing and the brownies, chocolates and tartlets are also good; the dish is garnished w/ fruit which is a nice touch. I think we only ordered the box lunches once, and I don't remember them clearly. There are many hot dishes available, but we usually go for the stuff that doesn't need to be kept heated. Minimum catering order is 8 people, but a Gourmondo order for 8 will usually feed more. Delivery charge within Seattle is $20. Most items come with serving utensils. We always order online but I imagine you could call in an order. If you're looking to impress a client, this is a way to do it. And if you're lucky enough to be the recipient of a Gourmondo lunch, good for you. read more

I keep going back to the Chicken Caesar Salad, it has a whole spicy grilled chicken breast on top of the salad (not the questionable cube chicken that other companies use). Gourmondo catered our wedding 2 weeks ago and it was fantastic. Very professional customer service, easy to work with, and great food. We loved everything about them from the very beginning! At our first meeting, about a year before our big day, we knew right away that this is who we wanted to host our guests. That's because of the way they hosted us! We got a chance to try just about everything on their menu, and it was so hard to choose just a few. All of the food was really high quality and very affordable compared to other caterers in the city. Even more than that, we hit it off with their staff right away. Lindsey and Jessica are not only very professional, you can see they love what they do and truly care that you have an amazing experience on your wedding day. From there until our wedding day, communication was frequent and they made sure not a single detail was missed. There weren't any surprises and everything was transparent by the time our final bill came around. So very easy to work with! Then of course the wedding day. Everything from cocktail hour to dinner was such a high quality production that ran ever so smoothly. It was set up just the way we had envisioned it and then some. And let's not forget the food!
