We saw this restaurant on our bus-ride to Gauche Hotel. Immidiately decided to have dinner here. It was a hidden gem!!! Amazing hospitality and authentic Indian food, with beautiful ambiance. Her - we were not that hungry, so just ordered one appetizer - Veg Spring Rolls, one main course curry - Paneer Tikka Masala with Tandoori Rotis. We got complimentary papad (lots of) with chutneys. Spring rolls were very good, filled with fried veggies in indian masalas and perfectly crispy on the outside. Not oily at all. Paneer Tikka Masala was delicious and flavourful. The quantity was good enough for 2 people and came with complimentary rice. Tandoori roti with butter was a show stealer. Perfectly done! Something that I usually miss in USA. Wonderful. I ordered the chick pea masala, my husband and the butter chicken, and we shared both. We also shared a mango lassi, perfectly creamy and sweet finish to our flavorful dinner. Good service, lovely environment. A great selection of gluten-free foods. read more

This was one of the best experiences I have had eating Indian cuisine. Everything was exceptional, from the appetizers to main course to dessert. We were a big group and we had the Murgh Methi Malai, Makai ki Roti, Paneer Tikka, Sev Puri, Malai Tikka, Chicken Sikh Kebab, Prawn 65, Yellow Dal and Lamb Biryani finished of with the Gulab Jamun. Great food and great service. This is a hidden gem in a section of Lucerne that's a little off the tourist path. But worth it!

Was served by Jaswinder Singh and had a terrific experience. He was a great man and had a very jolly mood throughout. Made sure to check in to make sure the food was great too. In terms of the food, I'd rate it a 10/10. They make it exactly how you like it. We wanted it spicy so they made it very spicy. Similar tastes to India! Would recommend for vegetarians too! I've eaten north Indian food all my life, in India and across several continents. As a result of several bad experiences (too creamy, too spicy or heavy etc.), I've also generally stopped eating north Indian food in restaurants unless I have first hand recommendation from people I know about the quality and experience at an Indian restaurant. So when my son recommended this place at Luzern, my family and I accepted to try it out somewhat reluctantly (we ate out every day during our two week visit to Europe this summer and had not tried out Indian until the very end at Luzern). We hit a jackpot! We ordered several vegetarian dishes and garlic naan. We have a few good Indian restaurants in LA but I don't recall feeling so satisfied with the overall taste and spice level. Visiting Luzerne from the states and looking for a nice dinner that wouldn't break the bank. The food was fantastic. I ordered masala tea, my friend and I shared Tika Masala and lentil makhani (I forget the actual name) and garlic naan and my friend ordered a beer. We ordered our food and soon after they brought us very good, crispy and warm pappadum with three dipping sauces, each sauce was excellent as well as the texture of the chips. So good! Each meal came in a pretty bowl with a candle to keep the food warm. We probably could have shared one dish and have more than enough food. We took leftovers. We also got tap water which was nice to not have to pay for bottled water and the water was very good. Some of the best Indian food I've had in awhile. The service was great and they did speak English. They also allowed us to split the bill in half on our credit cards. It was a nice walk from our hotel which was near the chapel bridge and Jesuit church. We were able to cross a different covered bridge on our way home and walk around the old town. We went there twice in 3 days. Once for ala carte​ and other time for buffet, and we loved it both times. We liked whatever we ordered in Ala carte. Palak paneer was the highlight of our meal. We also ordered chicken biryani and some chicken curry (forgot the name now), and they were all great with perfect spice. Buffet had very limited spread, but they all tasted good. They had one non-veg curry, one veg curry, Dal tadka and raita. No dessert, and bread is not part of buffet. In a country where foot long subway costs $16, a buffet for $15 is a great deal If you are an Indian and want to try authentic food, try this place. This is probably is one of the finest Indian cuisine in Switzerland not just in Lucerne. First night we were late and they will not take order past 9.30pm so we missed. Next day we are here and wish we came here every day. Food is just out of the world . For vegetarian I would recommend Paneer Tikka Salad and Veg Spring Rolls. Super yummy. Main course does not have dozen choices but all the options there are amazing. We ordered Paneer Makhani, Baigan Bhartha, Lasuni Daal Fry, Veg Biryani and Dal Makhaani. We didn't come to Switzerland to eat Indian food, but this restaurant was just down the street from our AirBNB and we were too tired to walk any further. Food is excellent... service is little slow, but courteous, ,since it is tourist season and management is probably not willing to hire more help....had to wait almost 15 mins before someone asked for the order...(includes 5 mins of standing before someone came to seat us ). Found this place online and it was a 10 minute walk for us. Walked in and the decor was great and so was the environment. Ordered the paneer tikka starters and they were not cheap but it was worth it. It came as two sheiks of paneer with veggies and then a bowl of salad and fries. For dinner we had chicken tikka Masala with garlic naan and it was also amazing. Great food awesome vibe. Only suggestion or hint would be we were offered bottlers water and it was a very small water bottle for 5 chf and then we saw other tables had two water for free and as we all know water quality is great up here so we then got tap water to but we wish we were offered the choice as first. But great place great food great service. Not to expense but not cheap. We paid 78 for two. read more

Great food and very accommodating and courteous staff. They appeared short staffed during dinner but they did their best to cater to all our whimsical requests. Food was the right kind of spicy and flavorful. I have to bar to compare this to in Lucerne or Switzerland but on its own it was pretty good indian food. Looses 1 star for the stuffy feeling (ambience) due to no air conditioning (which I'm sure is not a problem in most other months). read more

I've eaten Indian food my whole life and can say this place is damn good. Great service and high quality food. The Swiss fresh dairy and ingredients really show in the traditional dishes. The reviews on this place are correct. It's amazing. Just finished dinner and we're planning on going back for lunch tomorrow already. Don't be fooled by the appearance of the buildings around it. It is very nice inside. The staff was incredibly friendly (and spoke great English) and it might have been the best Indian food I've had. Also... we saw reviews that said they don't take credit cards, so we found an ATM first. But when we got our bill it did look like the waiter had a card reader (we still paid cash). Eat here. This was a pleasant surprise. Eating at this restaurant we thought the food would be decent, but it blew away our expectations. Each and every dish we ordered was prepared to perfection. From the grilled items to the curry everything was flavorful and freshly prepared. The service we received was great and our server was well trained and versed on all the menu items. Have been eating at this restaurant for close to 2 years now, and can say safely its thus far the best Indian food I've eaten in the Zurich / Luzern area. The menu is not huge, but what is served is of excellent quality, backed up by attentive and friendly service. Go for their Chicken Tikka (no sauce), along with a Daal Tarka, with a couple of Tandoori Rotis (whole grain, this is NOT Naan). Wholesome, super-tasty and healthy!!! For those living in the area, this is a better restaurant (food-wise) than Kanchi (also Luzern) and Chalet India (Horgen Oberdorf). read more
