    Complimentary papad!
    HisNHerFoodLove ..

We saw this restaurant on our bus-ride to Gauche Hotel. Immidiately decided to have dinner here. It was a hidden gem!!! Amazing hospitality and authentic Indian food, with beautiful ambiance. Her - we were not that hungry, so just ordered one appetizer - Veg Spring Rolls, one main course curry - Paneer Tikka Masala with Tandoori Rotis. We got complimentary papad (lots of) with chutneys. Spring rolls were very good, filled with fried veggies in indian masalas and perfectly crispy on the outside. Not oily at all. Paneer Tikka Masala was delicious and flavourful. The quantity was good enough for 2 people and came with complimentary rice. Tandoori roti with butter was a show stealer. Perfectly done! Something that I usually miss in USA. Wonderful. I ordered the chick pea masala, my husband and the butter chicken, and we shared both. We also shared a mango lassi, perfectly creamy and sweet finish to our flavorful dinner. Good service, lovely environment. A great selection of gluten-free foods.

This was one of the best experiences I have had eating Indian cuisine. Everything was exceptional, from the appetizers to main course to dessert. We were a big group and we had the Murgh Methi Malai, Makai ki Roti, Paneer Tikka, Sev Puri, Malai Tikka, Chicken Sikh Kebab, Prawn 65, Yellow Dal and Lamb Biryani finished of with the Gulab Jamun. I can't recommend this place highly enough. The staff were so courteous and gracious, recommending wine and liqueur pairings with our dinner.

Visiting Luzerne from the states and looking for a nice dinner that wouldn't break the bank. The food was fantastic. I ordered masala tea, my friend and I shared Tika Masala and lentil makhani (I forget the actual name) and garlic naan and my friend ordered a beer. We ordered our food and soon after they brought us very good, crispy and warm pappadum with three dipping sauces, each sauce was excellent as well as the texture of the chips. So good! Each meal came in a pretty bowl with a candle to keep the food warm. We probably could have shared one dish and have more than enough food. We took leftovers. We also got tap water which was nice to not have to pay for bottled water and the water was very good. Some of the best Indian food I've had in awhile. The service was great and they did speak English. They also allowed us to split the bill in half on our credit cards. It was a nice walk from our hotel which was near the chapel bridge and Jesuit church. We were able to cross a different covered bridge on our way home and walk around the old town. Also the bathrooms were very clean. Would recommend.

Flavorless food, good ambiance & good service. Mango lassi was good but rest everything we ordered was really bad.

Great food and great service. This is a hidden gem in a section of Lucerne that's a little off the tourist path. But worth it!

All mains were so good, can't quite rank them in terms of preference- all three were that excellent. So this time ordered 1) Salima Gosht, which was super tender lamb with chickpeas in a creamy cashew nut sauce; 2) Meen Molee, which is king mackerel from the Indian Ocean in a spicy turmeric and coconut milk sauce (the fresh beans were cut to look like chilies, a clever touch) and like the last time, again ordered the Idiappam Biriyani, which are homemade red rice noodles fried with chicken, shrimp and vegetables. My one tip would be to order the bread (wholemeal naan) with the lamb - it was so good I licked the plate clean. We also got condiments, a lovely refreshing Indian salad with tomatoes and onions spiced with a masala mix, and also mango chutney (yummy!). I also got the idlis as a side - so good! The chef later gave us a taste of this Indian white wine, made outside of Bombay and I would also order this next time as it perfectly complimented the food. Finally for dessert got the fresh mango with the homemade coconut ice-cream, just perfectly awesome taste and great way to end the meal. It was a bit pricy (140chf) but just so worth it - this is food that not only fills the belly bug also nourishes the soul.

A small restaurant with great Indian touches everywhere. We had Vegetable Pakoras (really yummy and they go fast), Papadam, Palak Paneer (spicy good) and Sambar Medu Vada (Idlis were a delicacy). Condiments such as Raita, Pickles, and Chutneys added to the rich flavors. We would recommend some yogurt on the side if you can't handle hot Indian food.
