On March 4th, I decided to book them for my son's birthday party after a great initial conversation. I paid the $100 deposit at that time. We exchanged a few follow- up texts. Our last communication was on Tuesday March 17, prior to the party on Saturday. In which we confirmed where the truck would park. I was supposed to pay the remaining balance on March 20th. but unfortunately I missed the email that day. On the day of the party, I reached out just to confirm the time she was going to arrive and to pay the balance. My calls went unanswered, and finally she texted me saying the reservation has been canceled because the balance wasn't paid. This was just a couple of hours before the party. As you can imagine this was very stressful. I had to scramble last minute to find alternative entertainment for my son's party. What is more frustrating is that I had already paid the $100 deposit. Since then I have made multiple attempts to contact Ebony for a refund- calls and texts have gone unanswered. Now I'm forced to dispute the charges with my credit card company. I understand company's have cancellation policies, but canceling a reservations without any follow up or courtesy call - is extremely unprofessional. A quick message or call could have avoided this situation. Her excuse was that she has 4 kids and a full time job and no time to follow up with her clients. I would not recommend this company. There are others nice companies to deal with.
