The pearls were fresh and chewy, not hard or mushy like I've had at some other boba shops , where they made them too rush or left it unintended too long . This place was a small order to go drink but they kept it nice and bright inside . Someone once told me the approximate amount of sugar in Easyway and its was something ridiculous. I'm sure Chatime has a tonne of sugar in it too, but it just tastes less sweet. Pearl milk or bubble teas are the most popular (I like mine vanilla or roasted milk flavoured) but a friend of mine swears by the fruit tea. You can control the sweetness and ice level. Normal sweetness and 1/4 ice is my order. So if you've never tasted a Taiwanese drink before, Chatime is a great place to start. Be adventurous (unlike me)!

It was very similar to a cheesecake. It was savory and sweet especially with the milk tea, which added a great depth of tea. The pearls were perfectly cooked and had a great soft chewy texture. I really liked this drink. I ordered it with 50% less sugar and it came out perfect. The cheese was sweet enough for the drink. My sister ordered a MIX BERRY CRUSH. It didn't specify on the menu that it would also have cheese in it, which was a problem because the sister is lactose intolerant so they had to remake her order. The drink was okay. It tasted more like a strawberry slushie. It wasn't bad, but I couldn't taste any other fruits. I'm sure it would've tasted amazing with the cheese because savory and sweet can be such a great combo. Maybe if the staff go on some customer service training, and they open up the space a little more; then most definitely I will give this establishment more of a chance. There is an abundance of choice for coffee in Balmain and Rozelle (let alone in the city nearby) that great customer service and great coffee must go hand in hand. Life is short. Their breakfast menu is pretty basic. My favourite is the 'Build-your-own' Breakfast for obvious reason, you can choose what you put on your plate. I built mine from bacon, poached eggs, mushrooms, chèvre and tomato. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection. There's satisfaction in watching the yolk oozing out as I cut into it.
