I ultimately filed a complaint against them, in which we were advised to include the owner of the home we applied for. The owner ended up removing his home completely off the market because of it and never found a renter. Though the complaint lead to no relief being granted, the point was to speak up or companies like this will continue to think they can operate business in this manner. Fortunately, it worked out for my greater good in the end as I decided to buy outright, was immediately approved by 4 mortgage lenders, and ended up purchasing a home worth more than the rental property they "denied" me for.

That is, until she completely ghosted us and dropped the ball on the application process. We were told multiple times, at the tour and leading up to applying, that we could recover our administrative fees (not the application fees) if we decided not to move forward or if our application was denied. Well, once we saw how poorly things were going and how the leasing consultant dropped off the map, we got a bad feeling and decided to back out and request our money back. After no response initially when asking when we would get the fees back, the leasing consultant tried to be clever and left a message for my (grown but much younger) roommate /family member whom she had never dealt with the entire time except for meeting them at the tour. As she was being avoidant with me, I guess she thought this was the weakest link.(This is absolutely untrue! Interestingly, as soon as we pulled up for the tour - before even going inside - my roommate said "THIS IS A NO". This is a very intuitive and wise person whose vibes about something are always very strong and accurate.) She stated in the voice message that the application never went through and that because of this, we couldn't get our administrative fees back. We did our part and had evidence we did. So, why? I'll tell you why. SHE didn't do her part to get it to the next stage of processing, whether purposely for some reason or inadvertently, and as a result, we had to pay the price for this - literally and figuratively. She took no ownership for this, but if it was purposeful, then why would she? I wonder what happens to the money because it doesn't just end up in a black hole. Someone has it. Seems unfair and unethical. I called their home office about it, but no one ever responded. Can't say that's surprising because the pattern of poor service often trickles down from the top. I'm actually glad we didn't end up living here. Even though the overall score on other review platforms is acceptable and some are high, many of the specific, less positive reviews share common themes. Additionally, everyone has a different standard of excellence depending on their personality and prior experiences elsewhere. Sometimes that thing that seems great, really isn't. It's only an improvement from the prior. (For example, if we were previously unhoused, then ANY home - no matter how bad - might seem amazing.) In summary, this place seems professional and nice at first, but the true colors eventually come out and the facade is evident. Definitely beware of wolves in sheep clothing here. I do not recommend it, no matter how pretty, new, and shiny it is.

Ms. Lashon is the sweetest and would literally give you the shirt off of her back. She goes above and beyond to help her residents as much as possible. I haven't had any roach problems or anything drastic happen since I've been living here. Its a wonderful place to stay, very peaceful and NO CRIME WHATSOEVER. Back then, Michelle (amazing!) and another woman were working the office. They were always kind and handled any maintenance matters with cohesion and swiftness. As for the maintenance staff themselves, the same older gentleman has always been respectful, knowledgable & very helpful to me when I needed his team's services. Fast forward a few years and the kind staff has been replaced by manager Jabriel P, whom I felt did not always handle matters with ease and certainly not swiftness. While he worked there, I found I had to repeatedly call back to follow up on maintenance requests to ensure they got completed. This was an inconvenience as they only answer the office phone very early in the day. Luckily he was not employed there long & now there are two more kind women in the leasing office as of 2022. I say all this to say: Your experience will largely be determined by the competency and professionalism of the leasing managers. As for the apartments themselves, they look like the brochure pics & I dont have any complaints. Neighbors are generally hard working family people who mind their business. Occasionally, there will be a few kids playing in the parking lot, but nothing crazy. There have been break-ins in the area, but I suggest a security alarm or Ring device for added safety. I moved here after visiting a friend and while Stonetree is not perfect, it offers good value and spacious apartments. They also allow dogs for a fee. I feel comfortable recommending these apartments to anyone; come see for yourself!

She always followed up when she said she would and never made me feel rushed or pressured. What started as me looking for a one-bedroom for myself eventually turned into needing a two-bedroom for my sister and me. She adjusted without hesitation and sent over a whole new list of options that actually fit what we needed. She really listened to everything I asked for and made sure the places she sent matched my budget and preferences. Apartment hunting can be overwhelming trying to stay in your price range and still get what you want, so having someone do the searching, send you options, and set up tours makes a huge difference. Candis definitely made this process easier for me. I also really appreciated how she checked in after I secured my place. She followed up at the 30-day mark before my move and again the week of my move just to make sure everything was going smoothly. That meant a lot. Their concierge service was helpful too with resources for movers, rental insurance, and getting utilities set up. They were quick and responsive.
