Got it Covered Events really DOES have it covered! We had so many compliments on both the food and the linens that we utilized at our wedding from Got It Covered. There was a nut allergy in the family that Martha adjusted the menu for and we really appreciated that. The staff was courteous, professional, and in time! Just attended a wedding that was catered by "Got It Covered". First the appetizers were fruit & cheese, & queso. The queso was cold as of it had been dumped from a can. The only drink option was unsweet tea and you had to ask for sweetener which was brought to the table and you had to choose what you wanted because it was not left at your table. At one point I asked for water and the waitstaff took two glasses with her - I followed her with two more and she filled them & left me to walk back to the table with 4 glasses (yes real glass) filled with ice water. They did deliver a salad but those plates stayed stacked on our table the entire night along with the fruit and veggie plates. The food was very delayed in getting out due to the caterers dropping the food. The staff brought out 8 tortillas for a table of 8. When dinner was finally served it was a meal of chicken & beef fajitas with rice & beans. The food was cold and meh. My friend ordered the vegetarian meal and it came with no veggies. A s'mores bar was supposed to come out as well but it was so late no one ate it. To add insult to injury none of the leftover food or dessert was packed up to be sent home. What a shame since this caterer charged almost $8000 for poor food, service, and theft of food. If you are a bride looking for a caterer, move on. Please do not use this caterer unless you want a very unprofessional waitstaff and owner and like them stealing from you. Our daughters wedding was beautiful but this caterer was horrible. When we tried to discuss with the owner all the problems that we had she didn't care and told us we needed signed affidavits from third parties to confirm all of the things that went wrong. Me and my fiancé made the mistake of signing a contract with Got It Covered Events in September this year. We were initially impressed with their reviews, low prices, and how much you got for what you paid. However, after learning this week that they were banned from serving at our wedding venue due to some issues that unfolded, we quickly realized their lack of integrity. I called Martha (Co-owner) to request a refund and was quickly met with a refusal to refund us and claims that we should be the ones to pay her in full for the services not rendered. We've consulted with several lawyers who all state that we were entitled to rescission since Got it Covered Events could not fulfill their contract due to circumstances that were not reasonably anticipated when signing the contract. Even still, she claimed that her contract stated no cancellations for any reason. Unfortunately, this will not stand well with the courts. There is an impossibility for performance, which entitles us to a refund regardless of what is stated in the contract. Impossibility is grounds to rescind the contract based on the law and supersedes everything else. I will send a certified letter requesting a refund due to this business's lack of accountability and willingness to make it right with the customer. Brides, it's not worth giving your business to a company that lacks integrity, even if you save a little more money. Spending money on a company that acts ethically and in good faith is better and will save you the stress in unprecedented situations like this. read more

From the tasting to the event, Got It Covered Events was wonderful. Martha was so helpful and knowledgeable about which linens (table cloths and napkins) and chargers would look great at the reception. The food is amazing. Got It Covered made our reception wonderful. All of our guests raved about how wonderful the food was. Got It Covered served chicken parm, stuffed pork tenderloin, salad (dressing was awesome), mashed potatoes, grilled vegetables and rolls. We chose Got it Covered for our December wedding and they were fabulous. We had a 4 month engagement and were scrambling to find vendors. We were fortunate they still had our date open. After contacting them, they provided several meal options and tiers as I wanted a plated dinner. My fiance and I met them for a tasting and every dish they brought out was superb. We opted for the pecan crusted chicken and the poblano chicken. From the initial bite, we knew we had found the caterer. The flavors and attention to detail for every plate is well thought through. I was looking forward to our wedding day to eat again. They helped me develop a time line for the reception which was very appreciated. We also had a Smores bar at the end of the night, which was a hit with all the guests. The serving crew was professional at all times and treated every guest with the up most attention. I am very thankful for their service, meals and communication throughout the planning and the event itself. My wife and I were actually interested in signing with another local and very popular catering company, but their customer service was lacking. This was important because if their customer service was lacking months ahead of the wedding, how would it be on the crucial day? Fortunately, we had friends who were getting married a month before us and they recommended their caterer Got It Covered. After meeting with Marisol a few times and doing a tasting, we decided to hire them. Their commitment to customer service and excellent food and decor options made them our choice for our wedding day. We were impressed by the level of service that we got. Sister owners Marisol and Martha have put together a great business here. Martha runs front of the house and does all things business, while Marisol takes care of back of the house and does food and decorations. We worked with Got It Covered months ahead of the wedding and they not only gave us great advice on things we didn't think of, but they also worked with us on price. I don't know how Marisol is so available and attentive, given that she works with her catering crew on the weekend. But, that is exactly what we needed for our wedding. Got It Covered worked closely with us to chose decor, including table covers and chair bows, and food options according to our budget and venue restrictions. Got It Covered did so many things right: having delicious food options for everyone, including those with dietary restrictions including vegetarians and gluten-free; offering dinner plates for the venue staff, security, and the jazz band that we hired for the wedding; and attention to detail. On the day of the wedding, our guests started arriving at the reception venue half an hour early. We were afraid that they would get in the way of the catering staff as they set tables and prepared for the service. However, the catering staff were nothing but smiles and somehow patiently worked around our guests. That's the kind of service that makes one appreciative, especially at an event as momentous as a wedding. They were cool at first. My wedding planner took ,my then, fiance and I to this catering place and we fell in love. They had really good food that my planner and husband tried and I being gluten sensitive and vegetarian, tried there gluten free pasta. It was all so good and I said yes to the posta and a regular meal for those who arent gluten free. Now besides me being gluten free I also have 2 others on my side and my husband had 3 on his side whom are also GFsensitive/celiac. Keep that in mind. So a month or two befor the wedding my planner came to me and started getting worried because this company would not answer, call, or email her back when she would do her check ups to make sure everything is good and that they have everything ready to go. So then I tried calling and there were no answer, no call back, and no emails back from them. So come MY WEDDING DAY, everything went ok till it was time to eat. My guest got there food ok then came mine. Or I should say, then NEVER CAME MINE! OR ANY OF THE OTHER GF PLATES FOR THOSE 5 PPL!! Yaaa'llll they never made my food!!!! My planner my hubby my mom and mother in law were pissed. So my planner ran to the back with my hubby following right behind her and when they came back my hubby said that my planner questioned the lady and gave her and ear full, Then my planner told me that all the lady said was "well I didnt make it, what do you want me to do about it?" UUUHH HOW ABOUT BUILD A FUCKING TIME MACHINE AND GO BACK TO MAKE THE FUCKING FOOD THAT I PAID FOR!?!?So they decided to give this GF/ vegetarian un- breaded chicken and green beans! My planner and husband said no, shes vegetarian. So they replaced it with green beans and mashed potatoes I'm starving at this point and pissed off, then this angel (I think she worked for the reception hall) came in and said "I ordered you GF posta from Olive Garden, I'm so sorry this happened. The food and prices were good, just upset with their customer service, they catered our wedding and everything was great till we got our late night tacos, we ordered Al Pastor tacos and we got Asada tacos, after our wedding I called about 2 weeks later to inquire what happened, I reviewed our contract and it clearly stated Al Pastor, when I finally got a call back I was surprised she was very defensive, I just asked what happened and she told me and I quote " You should have told your guest not to eat them then". I was like, hey. First of all I didn't even ask for a refund or anything at that point yet, I was just trying to find out if they just got the order wrong and tell me they were sorry and try to make it right somehow. But when the tacos came out I was to busy trying to entertain our guest and about 35 minutes after they were serving is when I finally had a chance to grab me some food. And anyone who has had a big wedding can agree with me on that, we are usually the last to eat That's when I found out. Well it has been 3 years since our wedding but finally decided to do my Yelp review and hopefully this helps some people just in case their order is wrong, you might want to tell your guest not to eat and deal with it after your wedding,, Yeah Right!!!, don't do that but that's how I felt when she told me that, she knows better than that, this is YOUR day and if you have a Bridezilla, oh man beware. well I have put in my concern and hopefully the next person doesn't have to be told that. Went to a wedding this past weekend catered by this company. Unfortunately our experience was far from good. The servers were rude and uneducated telling guest many false things. They were suppose to have 20 vegetarian meals. We were told they didnt have them and finally after complaining 5 were provided. Food was served late due to a accident happening causing a entire table of food to fall on the floor. The s'mores bar was put out the last half hour of the wedding that started at 6 and ended at 1030 having the majority of our guest miss it completely. The servers were too busy dancing and fooling around to pick up dinner plates before cake was served leading the wedding planner to step in and do it herself. The list goes on and on. The company was contacted and the choose to ignore and not return phone calls. Once face to face was told it's their word against ours.
