First time in one of these Market Basket stores and I loved it…read more I have no idea why, but I love visiting random grocery stores that I've never been to let alone heard of lol. Market Basket is one of those stores. Neverrrr even knew this place existed. New Hampshire is such an amazing state. This was my first time there as well (and I grew in upstate NY. So weird I had never been before) NH feels like one of Americas best kept secrets. Anyway, this store is massive! It's also massively busy. Couldn't believe how crowded it was. You think...."I'm in New Hampshire, there are like 5 people who live here" You legit never hear of anyone who is from here lol. Even growing up in NY, I can't remember ever meeting anyone from NH, lol. But yeah, plenty obviously live there and yeah kinda weird right to base that off of one visit to a grocery store? Haha. Anyway, store is massive. They have everything (except for Simply Apple Juice lol). Prices are great. NH is not nearly as expensive as most states in the northeast. AND the stores still use plastic bags! Which I love bc it's so ridiculous to get rid of them...especially when like 80% of what we buy all comes in plastic! And plastic bags! What's even weirder...in NY and other stores where those plastic bags are banned...grocery stores SELL. BUNDLES. OF. PLASTIC. GROCERY. BAGS!!! WITH....their store logos on it!!! And they sell the bundles for like $8-10 lol. So ridiculous! Just bring back the bags ffs lol So yeah, that made me happy to see here...even tho my weird love for visiting random grocery stores in random states...I always buy one of their reusable bags. I swear I'm like an old granny who wear big sweaters and is lonely...and finds fun in buying reusable bags from stores across the country hahahaha! The store is very well laid out. It's not hard to find anything...except, there's lots of walking bc the store is very large. Employees are so nice! Seemed like everyone in NH is nice. I look forward to the day I get to go back. Locals probably love this store. Visitors, if you're looking for a good store with good prices, friendly, helpful employees, Market Basket is a great choice. Thanks for reading, YelperMarketers!! Cheers!

They sell banh mi and sesame balls but could be weekend only so please call to confirm. I would skip the pandan jelly - $6 is pretty steep. Fresh and bouncy texture feel but dry when you eat it. No prices on prepared food. Thought it's an ok Asian grocery in the area. Free parking. There is an attendant who monitors the parking area/entrance since a shelter is across the street.

I am from NH, but have lived in SF, Vancouver CA, Albuquerque, and Denver. This is a fantastic…read moresmall Indian/Nepalese spice/ingredient purveyor. I love cooking more Eastern style food at home. Some of these ingredients are not found in the traditional NH grocery stores. I went there a second time last week, and I will be coming back whenever I need supplies in Manchester. Some of the things I get here, are the black chickpeas(channa), besan(chickpea flour) for pakoras (gluten free too), large size bags of restaurant quality garam masala, paneer(India cheese), Kashmiri chili powder, and many, many more things. Indian food is not the easiest cuisine to learn, but is super delicious, and has many healthy ingredients. Don't get me wrong I love chicken tikka masala, and lamb saag etc, but I often make curried chickpeas (channa masala) and they are great leftover cold on salad, or in a wrap with some rice, and yogurt/sour cream etc. They also have some frozen delights for those wanting something for a quick meal. They also have some produce, and hard to find items. It is also right across the street from Market Basket, and that one has a good selection, of hispanic, and Mediterranean ingredients, plus everything else you would expect.

Today I was called…read moreon my way there saying the app said I had arrived and they couldn't find me, however as soon as I parked my car I went into the app and entered in spot #1, and still called the store back just in case. I was told that the app said I had arrived 20 minute ago and was asked to come inside of the store to get my order. Technical difficulties are understandable but they should not be asking people to come inside to pick up their own order because of it.

I love this store - there are a few drawbacks, but it's definitely worth my weekly visit. You can't…read morebuy certain things (such as Coke products) here, which is odd and annoying. Also: bring your own bags or they charge you, I believe ten cents a bag, which is no big deal to me and most people. I just bring my reusable bags that I've gathered over the years. Now, the good: The prices are very good on most items. For example, they have pink lady apples (the BEST apples, and market basket doesn't carry them) for 99 cents a pound, which I stock up on. Lunch meat like sliced ham and turkey is also very competitively priced, as are some of the breakfast cereals. Produce and meats are usually fresh, at least in my experience. Overall, Price Rite won't meet all of your grocery needs, but it's an excellent addition to Manchester.
