What a fantastic venue for music events of intimate nature. I visited some classrooms where typical Mexican dances were taking place. Everybody was super welcoming and you can tell there was this community building feeling in the air, where it seems that they are all friends and you are part of the crowd. If i had more free time I would definitively take some dance classes there. The series of events they had this summer was fantastic.

Current student going through the program and may change rating based on ongoing experience…read more I started the program about 2-3 weeks ago, mainly because they recently began offering weekend classes, which worked well for me since I have a demanding full-time job. So far, unfortunately, my experience has not been great. I'm not sure if it's because the hybrid/online model is still new for them, but it really feels like they don't have the process fully organized yet. Most of the issues come down to lack of communication and unclear expectations for online students. Once I paid my deposit, I wasn't really guided through the next steps. I was briefly shown the portal we use for coursework (CIMA) and told to download WhatsApp because that's how we communicate with instructors. Beyond that, I pretty much had to figure things out on my own. I even had to personally ask questions in the group chat because I was confused, and it turned out several other students felt the same way. Eventually we found out there's an orientation every Monday, but nobody clearly explained that upfront. The virtual learning environment has also been frustrating. During online sessions, chats are muted and virtual students can't really ask questions because the instructors are focused on the in-person class. That honestly makes no sense to me considering online students are paying the same tuition as in-person students. It feels like the virtual students are an afterthought. Even submitting homework has been confusing. We use Dropbox, but I was basically just told to "download Dropbox" and had to dig through old chat messages to find the actual submission links and instructions. At this point, I honestly feel unclear every step of the way. I spend more time trying to figure out logistics, apps, links, and expectations than actually focusing on learning. The frustrating part is that these seem like very simple organizational issues that could easily be improved with clearer communication and better onboarding for online students. I'm still early in the program, so I hope things improve over time, and I'm open to updating my review if my experience changes.

I took a beginner pole class with my friend, and from the start, Erika at the front desk made us feel so welcome. She gave us a quick tour and shared such kind, encouraging words, which really helped calm those "trying something new" nerves. Our instructor, Louise, was phenomenal. She kept the energy up the entire class, checked in on everyone, and made sure we all felt supported with hands-on guidance when needed. I'll be honest, I have zero rhythm and dancing does not come naturally to me, but I had SO much fun. What really stood out was the community. Everyone was so sweet and supportive, and even the other girls in class were offering tips and cheering each other on. My friend and I will definitely be back, it was such a blast. I can't recommend Revel enough and I'm excited to try more classes here. Thank you, Erika and Louise

People are super friendly and all the pups seem to enjoy each other without anyone being too aggressive or unfriendly. I guess that's what happens when you raise your dogs right! I just wish my dog would run herself out more when playing with the others, but whaddya gonna do! You can lead a horse to water, right? I usually just end up taking her out to a field with the lacrosse stick and throw the ball 100x for her. She's tired. I get to sleep. Win Win!

Review #160 - 2017…read more This was our first time coming to the Santa Clara Christmas tree lighting ceremony. We had a really hard time finding park because the parking lot was reserved for staff members only. We eventually found street parking a few blocks away. By the time we got to the park, it was already nearing the tail end of the fireworks, but we still got to enjoy a few minutes of it. The place is actually quite crowded and the booths by the entrance were pretty poorly set up in my personal opinion. They weren't spaced out enough for people to actually make their way through, especially when there are people who want to stand at the booths and browse. It is definitely not wheelchair or stroller friendly. Pushing my daughter's stroller around was tough and I saw a lady with a wheelchair was practically struggling to get from one place to the next. The line to see Santa was too long so we didn't get to take a picture with Santa. The live music was enjoyable and ice skating rink was a nice addition. Lots of first responders were present as well...
