Wherever it is, you'll find it by driving to Malabar Farm off of Pleasant Valley Road, and following the signs to the overlook. The dirt road that takes you to the overlook is a bit bumpy, so hang on to your butts. But there's no other option -- you can't really walk up to the overlook because there's nowhere to park at the bottom. But, there's parking at the top, so I'm thinking that that's what you're supposed to do: endure the minute-long bumpy ride. Once you're at the top, you will be treated to fabulous views of central Ohio countryside. The overlook is the highest point on Malabar Farm, and at more than 1,300 feet above sea level, Mount Jeez will give you an up-high look at farmland for several miles. This is an amazing spot to just sit (there's a bench up here) and take in the view. There's also a hiking trail in the woods just off the overlook. We didn't venture too far into the path when we visited, but it's there and it is beautiful when everything is growing and blooming.

The welcome center seemed brand new and was really well done, with a small museum, plus access to the campground and tons of cabins available to rent. The hiking here is incredible. We did the Hemlock Gorge Trail, and it was just the right level of challenge while still being super enjoyable. The scenery was beautiful the entire way. I also highly recommend checking out the Little and Big Lyons waterfalls. It made for a great loop trail and was definitely a highlight. The park itself is very well maintained. We visited right after some heavy winds, so there were quite a few downed trees, but maintenance was already out there actively clearing and fixing things, which was impressive to see. Overall, such a beautiful park and a trip full of unforgettable memories.

Not much of a much. Maybe it is being rebuilt? But there is a small building with bathrooms and what looks like it will be a nature center, and tons of trails up and down the hills. Surrounded by development, but fairly quiet, at least on an early spring weekday afternoon. Saved because of its creeks and hills and gullies, surely. Lots of shale outcrops, some decent elevation changes, well-developed paths mixed with more basic ones, decent parking. Far from our usual routes, but worth a detour.

I didn't go and visit the house, I didn't take the tours, I was about to base it on how it didn't personally fit my needs. I would have wanted to camp there and realize it wasn't for me. Now for the positive, it's a beautiful place and it has great historic value. I loved the store. The young person behind the counter was so nice and helpful. We bought a gallon of maple syrup and a smaller one for our camper. It was on sale for 10% discount. The greatest thing though is that they sell fresh meat from the farm. They have a cool place for the kids on the other side of the store. The cute parrot pictured was in the lobby.

The bathrooms are nice and clean, and there are plenty of things to do. We've met so many different people that helped us start a fire cause we didn't know how to start a fire or to keep it burning and then the store they sold everything that you could possibly may need if you forgot it at home they do sell firewood. It was nine dollars or five dollars a bundle, which I didn't think was too bad in the locals sell firewood as well. There were so many kids there and they had their dogs there and there is an opening down to the water and my dogs had a blast playing fetch in the water

It's obvious the staff there care very much and take pride in what they're sharing with travelers. I've never been in any other caves, so I can't compare it to anything else, but I know Seneca doesn't have the flashier features of other caves. It's still very unique and well-worth the trip if you're in the area. I visited Seneca Caverns with my cousin, on our way back to Chicago from Cedar Point. We originally meant to go to Cleveland, but decided against it because of a big event there. I was so pleasantly surprised after our trip to Seneca Caverns! It's truly a unique natural attraction. They offer tours every 20 minutes to go down into caves that were caused by rock splitting; there's a river that runs below it as well. In the tour, they take you down 200 feet below the surface, and it's so neat they take you right through the basement of the tour center! You're even able to touch or taste water from a real natural spring. Our guide, Alaina, was very personable and knowledgeable. There were only 5 of us in our group, which was good because the spaces are very small. Beware, however, that it can be considered strenuous because the stairs are "natural," and of varying levels. Exiting requires some climbing; I'm relatively healthy and was slightly short of breath on the way out. It's really only good for those who are ambulatory and comfortable with confined, dim spaces. The caverns are lit with electricity, but there are some tight squeezes. I would not recommend it for children, unless they're old enough to climb up and down stairs or other things easily and they're not afraid of the dark. Older children, perhaps 6 and up, I think would be able to handle it. All in all, it was refreshing to visit something different that wasn't a chain after spending a weekend in Cedar Point and eating fast food. I really enjoyed it.
