I do understand they're busy, but sometimes this can be a slight annoyance.

The bread was toasted to the point that it was hard, making the sandwich difficult to enjoy. More importantly, the beef was very sparse for a $28 sandwich. It was advertised as chuck eye, but the meat I received was very lean and dry, lacking the tenderness and richness I'd expect from that cut. Based on this meal, I wouldn't order the French dip again. The fries were the highlight of the plate, but the sandwich wasn't worth the price.

He walked around chatting with everybody personally, showed off dishes as he walked through the restaurant, and was even happy to let diners take a peek at his kitchen (how does he make all this magic happen on TWO CAMP STOVES?!) The menu isn't massive, but everything on the menu is executed with precision and grace. I had a hard time deciding what I wanted but I've had my eyes on the Lobster Bomb for years. My husband got the "Tiny Burrito" which is quite literally the size of a newborn. The Lobster Bomb was excellent. Generous chunks of succulent lobster and the hollandaise was perfect! Subtle on the lemon flavor as to not overpower, but still rich and creamy. I tried my husband's burrito and the chorizo gravy is stellar. You could easily share this with 1-2 other people in my opinion. It lasted my husband two leftover meals! The restaurant itself is small but it's cozy and feels like you're at home. No frills, nothing over the top, nothing trendy. Just a relaxed vibe with lots of authentic touches from Chef Shawn. While this was our first visit it definitely won't be our last. We arrived slightly before our seating time and noticed plenty of open tables, but the hostess was less than accommodating and unwilling to seat us early. It felt a bit unnecessary given how many open tables at the time. Once we were seated, the experience improved. The food was absolutely outstanding--well-prepared, flavorful, and easily the highlight of our visit. The views were also incredible and made for a beautiful brunch setting.
