The team at the birth center made me feel so welcomed, really made the effort to not only get to know me and my pregnancy but my whole family. I felt like I was really heard and they addressed my concerns. I felt supported. My birth experience was amazing, two months later I'm feeling ready to have another baby! I couldn't have asked for a better team to experience my birth with. I'm just totally amazed by their after birth care. We just had our last appointment with them today and I'm going to miss them so much. The baby and I will have to pop in and visit and I look forward to returning when I become pregnant again. And a NPR then Doctor Sawyer for the last several years. Dr. Havalak was also wonderful and caring, although DR. Sawyer is also caring, down to earth, wonderful personality, truthful, and I have to say I have never had a doctor that worked so hard and would take the time to call you or a family member to check up on you. My husband has also been going to him for several years and Dr. Sawyer was concerned about his symptoms January 13th so Dr. S sent him for a CT scan that found two large cysts on his liver. Dr. Sawyer referred him to a specialist at Gastro Health, who then referred him to the U of W which has been long process. My husband has been waiting since January 27th to get a biopsy on his liver and DR. Sawyer and his wonderful nurse Misty (s/p) have not given up finding one. The Gastro Health specialist originally told us we had to go to the U of W because there was no one in Olympia or Tacoma that could do the biopsy, but then when the university Dr. finally called us for phone consultation, he said that the biopsy procedure is done by a specialist of radiology and that there had to be one in Olympia or Tacoma , so we called Dr. Sawyer to inform him of what the University Dr. told us and he and His nurse went to work on finding us The right doctor at Capital medical on the west side of Olympia to do the procedure. We got the call yesterday from Misty that they put a rush to get the biopsy and talked to South Sound radiology where CT scan and MRI was performed to get my husbands film to the Capital radiology dept. ASAP So they can view and get my husband biopsy done. Not only has Dr. sawyers nurse been wonderful keeping us updated by calling us but Dr. Sawyer himself has called my husband numerous times also.. He is the best! I am 77 and my husband is 83 and he doesn't care how old we are he still believes we have a lot of life in us to give us the best care we deserve! HE is a 10 in my book !!! He reminds me of the TV sitcom years ago called "Marcus Welby MD" although I don't think Dr. Sawyer would know who that is since he was probably in grade school or maybe not even born yet? When I moved cities halfway through my pregnancy, I struggled to find a reputable home birth provider that would take me as a transfer. Enter Wellspring. I am so grateful I took the leap of faith with Lizz and Elliott. They are down-to-earth, knowledgeable, and really came through for me as a patient when my baby experienced shoulder distocia during my home birth. I had the most beautiful home birth I could hope for (despite the hiccup), and absolutely have them in part to thank for it. In addition to that, their office is lovely & full of plants and toys. My 3 year old loved going to "the baby store" with me and playing with all their fun toys before listening to baby's heartbeat. Finally, they were very sympathetic to my challenging financial situation & were flexible with my payment plan. TL;DR : Yes, I recommend these great midwives.

We had an incredible experience with Wellspring Midwifery. I had recently had a missed miscarriage…read morewhen I came into their care with my second pregnancy. The midwifery clinic I was previously with for the first pregnancy , told me I could no longer work with them and did not give a reason. Valley medical midwives said they would not work with me because I am overweight and of advanced maternal age. The other midwives clinics in the area said they were full for my due date. Swedish midwives did not take my insurance. When I went to the obgyn, she made me feel like I was wasting her time and I felt rushed during a very tender time. I felt discouraged and decided to widen how far I was willing to travel for care. I reached out to Wellspring Midwifery, and they promptly set up a zoom call where I asked tons of questions, we discussed our experience and they shared info about their practice. I felt so relieved to find them during such a hard time, filled with fear and anxiety. Our first appointment was over an hour and Lizz made me feel so comfortable and heard. It was amazing, they even did Saturday appointments so we didn't have to miss work and the traffic was much better. I met Elliot a few appointments later and she was equally awesome to Lizz! Throughout the process, I had monthly appointments and additionally was able to call for questions or write them in the online portal and they would promptly respond. Later in my pregnancy, we made the informed decision that we would prefer to transfer my care to a hospital so that I could access an epidural during labor and knowing which hospital we were going to. Lizz and Elliot were supportive of this decision and helped with the transition of paperwork. They allowed me to stay on for postpartum care. I even called them during my labor when I was trying to make a decision. It was awesome to have the support of their postpartum care because my obgyn only scheduled me for 1 appointment at 8 weeks postpartum. Lizz and La-Kiesha (their midwifery student who joined many of my appointments) came into my home 2 days after my baby was born and did a visit where we talked about the baby, my husband and myself and did some checks on the baby and me. They also gave me breastfeeding support. I had multiple follow ups in office during the first 6 weeks postpartum. It was so helpful to get regular support throughout that period of time. I am forever grateful for my experience with Wellspring Midwifery and I highly recommend them for your prenatal and postpartum care.

I met with him for the first time in August 2025 and our first consultation was very detailed and he asked me many questions about my history. At my first appt I got a complimentary ultrasound to check my uterus and ovaries. After 2.5 cycles and some assistance with medication, I am thankfully 16 weeks pregnant with my double rainbow baby! Due to my age and a low AMH level, Dr. Moruzzi was determined to help me get pregnant and we succeeded. We aren't 100% sure why I had the miscarriages, but he found a couple areas where things could be improved and it worked. The clinic is very upfront about the costs on their website (if you are in the medical field, you get a 20% discount on services). Everything fertility related is out of pocket and you may pay at the clinic or sometimes you will get a bill in the mail. If you get pregnant, they can bill your insurance. Dr. Moruzzi only sees pregnant women through the 1st trimester, then you can transfer to an OB. He no longer does deliveries. The staff is very friendly. Dr. Moruzzi is also friendly and would call me sometimes at 8pm just to update me on my labs. He is blunt and will be honest with you. He is also very knowledgeable and has many years experience. Because he is the only MD, he tends to get behind schedule, so you can show up right at your appt time, or maybe call the clinic to find out if you can show up at a different time. I never really had a problem getting in to see Dr. Moruzzi in a timely manner, but it depends on your availability and of course the clinics. They close from 12-1pm for lunch and are closed Wednesday mornings. Also, side note, you may also see this place referred to a Olympia Fertility. We moved about 40 minutes away when I was pregnant with my first, but have continued to travel to see him over the years. I always joke with my husband that we are going to keep having more kids just so we can keep seeing Dr. Taggart. :)

They do work with multiple patients at a time, but I never felt neglected or overlooked. Very well coordinated and they time the exercises so they can check on other patients while you're working. I went for 3 months and had noticeable improvement by the end. My doctor worked at my pace and was constantly checking in to make sure that I wasn't pushing too hard or going faster than I needed too. I felt very well cared for. I wasn't just another patient with a chart, I was an actual person to them. Would 100% recommend.
