This is a wonderful place to stay. Jim and Laurie are great and acommodating hosts. My wife and I spent the week of Christmas to New Years Day in cabin 2. The cabin is spacious, private, well appointed, and fully equipped. Its location made it perfect for us as we enjoyed the surrounding countryside. It is very clean, quiet, and more than reasonably priced. Guests should know that although the cabin is in Maryland, you are less than 5 miles from High Point Lake and Mt Davis Pennsylvania (the highest point in Pennsylvania). I spent a wonderful snow covered Sunday morning there on the observation tower. You are also in Amish country and there is a bakery right around the corner! You are within an easy half hour drive of Cumberland and Oakland, Maryland and Morgantown, West Virginia.p I can't wait to go back this spring to see this area again when it is green and in bloom. Lori and Jim are wonderful! I met my son & Daughter-in-law, and grand-dogs there for a long weekend March 6-8, 2020. I got there early afternoon and when Lori came to greet me and found out that I wasn't going to eat anything but snacks until the kids arrived around 8:30, she called Jim and he brought me dinner to tide me over. WOW. The cabin was lovely and the heated floors a plus in below freezing weather with 3 beautiful inches of snow. The kids and dogs walked all over following deer trails and blazing their own. I heard turkeys and coyotes and saw hawks. It was perfect. We will definitely going back!! Thank you Lori and Jim for sharing you little piece of heaven. read more
