Others felt the property was not large enough, and several others didn't show up to give us a quote. We finally found Darren on Yelp and set up some time to speak with him. Darren is not only very professional, but he took the time to answer all of our questions, and promptly followed back up with a quote and answers to a few questions we had. This young man is genuinely a hard worker, very reliable, and quite impressive as a first time business owner. We have been working with Darren for about 2 months now and his communication is very well appreciated and his work ethic is exactly what we were looking for. Because of his reliability, the quality of his workmanship, and his willingness/ flexibility to work with our sometimes changing schedule + calendar is exactly why we chose to give him our business. When we look for vendors/ contractors, we look for people that we can trust so we can build a long term partnerships and relationships, because let's be honest, who wants to spend all their time looking for new vendors/ contractors? We had a rotten old retaining wall that was falling apart, and we were concerned regarding the…read moresafety of our backyard. We called Lawngevity Landscaping, they talked us into doing a more expensive option for 60,000 with three walls. The agreement being that they would remove the previous retaining wall, lay out new ones and smooth out the backyard. They removed most of the old retaining wall, smoothed out the backyard, and placed a few of the old pieces of the retaining wall back in our backyard. They covered it with dirt, leaving a very uneven surface. They added dirt once: ineffective band-aid fix. As the dirt fell away a small, camouflaged obstruction was created. I tripped in the small divet created at the base of that camouflaged piece of wall. I broke my foot and was unable to care for my family or work for six weeks. I told the company and it has still not been fixed. I would strongly discourage anyone from using them without verifying that they won't rush the job. Finishing a job in three days is only good if the job is done correctly and responsibility is taken!
