Ok...So i started seeing Chiro type Doctors when I was 13 after injuring my left knee. I have also had shoulder problems since I was a teenager. (im 30 now) I have been in and out of what felt like every different type of chiropractor's office that you can think of. The one thing they all had in common was that I felt like I was in a factory...everyone was adjusted the same way...no attention to detail or individual needs..in and out...pump em through... But not Dr. G....not even close...I cant find words that feel like they cover the amount of respect I have for this guy. He is the first Dr. to ever correct my neck and actually stop the pain completely...Its gone...and it stays gone..my range of motion is the best its ever been...and since I'm a drummer he keeps tabs on the stress I put my body through when playing and checks me on..positioning and muscle tension too...and even offers advice on gym exercises to help strengthen the areas I need help with most. If there was a perfect bed side manner for a Chiropractor..this guy is it...The real deal..Have never met another that even comes close.. He is a true gentleman..loaded with knowledge..a down to earth straight ahead person..and just a great soul with a big heart!! I cant say enough praise...other then..I was lucky enough to have this guy put me back together. And if you too have the chance to be under this guys care...you'll see what I'm talking about :) read more

Having had serious neck/back injuries as a child, I have seen chiropractors for the greater portion of my life and Dr. Kernes is the first one to actually help stabilize me to where I no longer am in constant pain and don't have to see him but for tune ups! I love that he incorporates stretches and muscle strengthening exercises in his treatments and gives clients simple exercises to do at home to help improve their condition. I started going to him three times a week and committed to doing my share of the physical therapy work two times a day. Then we cut back to once a week and eventually once a month. Within time, I could feel the benefits and was amazed at how the pain I once grew used to, disappeared! Dr. Kernes is an incredibly generous, kind hearted person who loves helping people feel better so they can enjoy life more fully. I cannot thank him enough for how he has improved the quality of my life and for his constant care and consideration. read more

I've been to roughly 5 Chiropractors in my life and have learned that it's not just about cracking bones. Some Dr.'s adjust every bone in your body, then there was one that kept me waiting for an hour and after a 4 minute adjustment I was out the door. What keeps me going back to Dr. Kernes is his passion about the uniqueness and intricacies of the human body. He genuinely wants to know what's going on with me so he can help me get (and feel) better. He doesn't keep me waiting and while adjusting he checks all my pre-existing problem areas and asks if there is anything more that needs attention. His professional approach to his clients is matched by his personal relationships he builds. As I grow older and my body changes I feel good that he will be there to keep by bones strong and aligned...one less thing to worry about - Thanks Dr. Kernes and congrats on your 2nd baby :-) read more

Started seeing Dr Kernes in November of last year after moving from Silicon Valley. I researched chiropractors locally, went and saw three I had narrowed it down to, and decided within 2 minutes of meeting Dr Kernes he was the guy I would trust my body with. Simply after having seen over 2 dozen Chiropractors around the nation considered to be the best in the country, I would rate Dr Kernes as the very best I have seen. Why ?..well firstly he knew how to take me out of pain and keep me out of it. His knowledge and ability to communicate that knowledge is second to none. He uses the techniques that will work for you, rather than sticking to a rigid methodology. His athletic background at the highest level also helps him diagnose in a way I have never experienced. Simply put he is the best back doctor I have ever met. read more

I had always thought of Chiropractors as more scam artist than healer, but was refered to Dr. Kernes through my trainer, who said it would be different with Dr. Kernes, I reluctantly gave it a shot. The difference here was that it's not just about popping and cracking. Dr. Kernes gives you an entire exercise regimine that rebuilds muscle around the bones that he has put back in place. The thinking is that if you do not repair the tissue and build the muscle, then the bones are just going to slide out of place again. After a month, I couldn't believe the difference, I could sleep on my side again and no longer had neck pain, something I had been living with for awhile (and only in my 30's!). Not only is he a fabulous doctor, but he's a wonderful, warm person who really cares about you. I highly recommend him! read more

Simply put.....one of the BEST decisions I have ever made. Dr Kernes is, without a doubt, a miracle worker. A kind and gentle professional who knows EXACTLY what he's doing. I was in an extreme amount of discomfort when I made an appointment, and he took me in almost immediately. The office atmosphere was clean and relaxing, with excellent parking (a definite plus). Upon arrival, I was taken in right away and immediately felt at ease, and confident that I was in more than capable hands. I was thoroughly looked over and well listened to and within 30 minutes left, feeling better than I had in MONTHS. I will without a doubt be seeing Dr. Kernes on a regular basis, and referring him to everyone I know. Don't think twice about giving this doctor a chance to help you.....you WON'T be sorry. read more

Dr. Kernes is amazing! I had been to at least a dozen chiropractors acupuncturist, physical therapists before finding Dr Kernes. I was in so much pain every day; I could barely turn my neck right and left to look over my shoulders. I had migraines several times and month and headaches almost every day! After working with Dr. Kernes he was able to correct my neck alignment and strengthen the muscles in my neck and back; my migraines went away! He is beyond knowledgeable about the human skeleton as well as diet and exercise. He is also one of the nicest guys you will ever meet!. I can't say enough good things about him. He has helped me tremendously, not only with skeletal alignment through adjustments, but has also helped me get in shape with exercise and diet tips. read more

I was referred to Dr Kernes when nothing was helping my back pain after an auto accident. Within a few visits and some exercises that he gave me, I was almost pain free. I have continued to see him now for the last 9 years for adjustments or any ache and pain I have, including migraines. I have referred him constantly to friends who all wind up saying the same thing about him.....which is he is an amazing doctor and he just seems to be able to fix whatever is ailing you. I cannot say enough about his chiropractic care except if you don't believe in chiropractors, you should go see Dr. Kernes and you will. I know so many people now who have been helped by his services. He is a really nice guy too, salt of the Earth! read more

I went to a chiropractor once who did nothing but use some type of electric shock therapy on my muscles. Since then, the thought of going to another was tainted in a negative way. After seeing Dr. Kernes for an adjustment, I vowed to never go anywhere else! Not only was he extremely professional, personable and knowledgeable, but I left his office feeling so much better. Although I don't live in the area any longer, when I come to Los Angeles to visit, I always make it a point to pay him a visit. I would highly recommend seeing him. **Also, he has an amazing heated rolling bed that gives you a nice 10min. massage before your adjustment!** read more

Dr. Gordon Kernes is one of good guys! For years I suffered from chronic shoulder and neck pain. After a few sessions with Dr. Gordon Kernes, my pain was gone. I know, I know, blah, blah blah... But the fact is, I'm a real patient who went to Dr. Kernes with serious pain and got relief. Dr. Kernes is a highly educated, knowledge-based practitioner, who has spent his life understanding the skeletal mechanics of the human body. After your first visit, you too will know that this doc is the "real thing." He's caring, honest and can treat unnecessary, daily pain. I highly recommend this unique Los Angeles chiropractor. read more

I had a debilitating sciatica condition for a few years and as someone who is on a daily basis training or competing, it was a very frustrating condition to cope with; it became chronic to the point I was taking 5-6 Advil just to surf! After numerous doctor visits as well as the variety of "healers" tried, I was referred to Gordon. Even as a huge skeptic of chiropractors I visited him and within three visits I was pain free and i have been ever since. (+2yrs). I am very grateful to him, he is brilliant at what he does and I highly recommend to him to any of my clients as well as anybody out there looking for a chirporactor read more

I was dealing with lower back pain on a daily basis for about a year before I was referred to Dr Kernes. After the first visit I experienced relief for the first time in a year. I literally felt my spine straighten out. After a few visits, I am now happily pain free. Dr Kernes is knowledgeable, friendly and has a great manner. No complicated speak, nor cold, clinical approach, which we all know some doctors can have. I've referred him to a number of people - if anyone has back pain, I send them straight to Dr Kernes. Btw - the office is intimate, pleasant and there's easy street parking. read more

Dr Kernes is just amazing. He truly has an innate sense of the human body, is very knowledgeable and is a very nice man. I am an ex dancer and an avid exerciser, mainly CrossFit. I go to Dr. Kernes twice a month just to keep everything aligned and functional which helps prevent injury. I leave his office feeling freakin' great. He also works on my 13 year son. My son enjoys his monthly visit and feels so strong and connected after his visit. My son loves "how calm" it is in his office. I've been to many chiropractors in my life but Dr Kernes is the best. He's a keeper! read more

Dr. Kernes is a truly EXCEPTIONAL chiropractor. I was amazed at his medical knowledge, as well as his ability to help me get rid of my long-standing neck pain and headaches. Anyone who thinks chiropractors aren't "Doctors", obviously hasn't met Dr. Kernes. Anyway, I wish I would have met Dr. Kernes years ago, as his treatment has helped me in so many ways. Having received chiropractic treatment many times before, I definitely believe that Dr. Kernes is by far the BEST chiropractor I have ever encountered. I rate him with an A+++ read more

I was very skeptical of Chiropractors and spent A LOT of $$ on massages. I hated taking pain pills when my back would go out or when I would get a muscle spasm... then, Dr. Kernes adjusted me. My pain was GONE! All that I needed was to re-align myself and my pain VANISHED!!! Dr. Kernes is also very gentle and doesn't do that neck twisting thing that always freaked me out at Chiropractic offices. He's really amazing and one of the best kept secrets in the Chiro world.... I also love seeing some of the celebs in his office. :) read more

I first went to Dr. Kernes nearly ten years ago with back and neck problems, and purchased a longer term program which I did several times a week for many months. In addition to his treatments, I learned good habits and how to avoid future issues, so it was quite educational and helpful. He's friendly, the office is pleasant, good music, nice folks, and I felt he was fair about the pricing. Dr. Kerne's knowledge of the human body is excellent, and I got results that have lasted for years. I highly recommend him! read more
