I used Dan in 2020 and at the time I wanted a specific gray color floor. Dan listened, stained patches and had me come and pick out my color. It was so much better than I anticipated. The amount of compliments I got was unreal. I was lucky enough to have Dan sand and stain another home for us. Dan brought the wood back to life. The wood floors made the house look immediately 20 yrs younger. Dan works neatly and quickly. He isn't the type to give you a price and then things come up and you are now 3k higher then the original price. I had water damage to one of my room upstairs due to a radiator leak. I wasn't sure if we needed to do just the 1 room or the whole upstairs since the wood is all connected. When I had spoken to him on the phone he said there may be a slightly different color if we do just the one room. So before he came out, I asked if he can get us both quotes. He came out when I wasn't home but my wife was. He didn't measure anything. Look at the room where the damage was and left. He didn't look at the rest of the upstairs. I didn't get a message for him so I texted him. He gave me a quote for the one room. I asked, do you have a quote for how much it would be for the whole upstairs. He said he didn't look at the other room upstairs. I described the size of the other room upstairs and he texted back with a quote. I asked if you can send me in writing the 2 quotes. He said he has to charge me $150 for the quotes. Then I said, "What? Why?" He never responded. Just in case he didn't see it, I text him again the next day. He didn't respond again. Extremely disappointed with him and his lack of response.

The first company told us that the floors were too old & worn and that the only way we could refresh them was to rip out the original floors and replace them with modern panels. We mentioned how sad we were to lose our original floorboards to a friend and they suggested we reach out to Adam at Wood Vitalize. I'm glad we did! Adam came to the house and, immediately after saying hello, got down on his hands and knees to give them a close look. He helped us to pick an option that would protect the floors and give them some new life, without sanding off the character they'd gotten over the last 90 years. He also helped ensure the rose inlay in the original floors wouldn't get destroyed with his process (other flooring companies had told it was unsaveable). Wood Vitalize's quote for the work was reasonable and they even replaced a few floorboards that had gone rotten underneath the radiator without charge (thanks again!). They were able to do all the floors in our 3/2 townhouse in one day (arrived on time, stayed late until it was done). I'm very pleased with their work and owe our friend who referred them a big thank you! So I'm passing it forward. If you've got floors with history and you want to keep them don't let someone talk you into ripping them out until you talk to Adam!

Finally wrote a review on Google which led to someone from corporate finding out what happened. Had to go back in to cancel original order and place again. A week later still no answer as to where the order is or an expected date of arrival. My flooring job had to be postponed yet again. This company is horrible at delivery and orders. Went online to find out they had so many similar complaints. It's no wonder they went out of business before. Why they started back up under another name is beyond me. Do your due diligence and order from another reputable company. Don't use this one. You'll potentially lose money and time. A very disorganized company with horrible customer service.
