The loan process from this bank ended up being a complete disaster, where problems arose last minute over things we should have been told weeks earlier. With closing coming up, and our trust in the bank fully broken after a week of fruitless back-and-forth, we decided to get our mortgage elsewhere, but it needed to be fast. I reconnected with Alayna, who gave us a sanity check by confirming the bank was being ridiculous, and snapped into action to help us. Within 36 hours, we had a fantastic rate in hand and were set up with a mortgage processor. Each time we ran into a problem, Alayna - who was readily available via text, phone, and email - as well as others at RMG (Hayley Jackson) and the processing team (Corry O'Neill and Kristina Polson) provided alternate choices or simply solved the problem. I believe I was mistreated by this firm on two separate policies, for a period of time spanning…read moreseveral years. The fault seems to lie with one employee, who is no longer with the firm. One of the instances involved my representative going over, in detail, the policy she said she wrote for me, according to what I had requested, as I had moved out of my condo and needed to change the policy from tenant/owner, to a landlord policy. She never actually did it though, which the firm informed me of years later after the representative was no longer there. They did, however, collect my premiums for three and half years. Had there been an event to trigger a benefit, I would have no doubt been denied because I did not live there (a requirement under the old policy I requested changed). When I reported this they told me that since the actual policy was mailed, there is nothing they can do to make me whole for years of paying premiums for coverage I never had. So the position of Statefarm seems to be, despite listening intently to my insurance representative, I must also go through the mailed contract in detail, because Statefarm agents are not to be trusted. Just because an agent says, on several occasions, that a thing is done, and goes through the details over the phone, she might not actually do any of that, and Statefarm will not be held accountable for anything their agents do or say. The people at Mary Wilson State Farm always seem so nice, and I do not enjoy writing a bad review about any firm, particularly a small business. But, the individual consumer has little power in the marketplace, and generally cannot afford the time it takes to exercise that small power. Businesses should therefore be held accountable, to whatever small degree possible. Platforms such as this at least give the consumer the opportunity to share such experiences, instead of allowing the company to just sweep them under the rug.

Not this specific agent but with how they scam you and get you into how they want to do the claim…read more I called from water flooding through my ceiling on the first floor, I talk to Karen who is reading to me very quickly but I catch 2 words in her sentence, "probably" and "maybe" I said to her probably doesn't cut it with me, anyway she tells me we're gonna send you an email that explains everything, but what they do is she then transferred me to another guy who gave me some info saying we'll take care of it then he transfers me to my claims guy, but I've been on the phone for 45 minutes straight, then when I tell the claim adjuster I had a plumber there to fix the issue, as well as a water restoration person who explained what is best and what they will do, now 35 minutes earlier Karen said we'll give you info in an email but my mind has not had a moment to stop and think as I've been going from person to person on the same call for over an hour, my agent is lining me up so he can get me to do exactly what is best and cheapest for State Farm, they do not care about their customers only what's best for State Farm. So he led me into a restoration company that he wanted so he could do it all cheaper (me I don't want cheaper this is our home and I want it top level great) not once did the claim guy let me know I had options to get my own people and own bids, but this is the part they SCAM us on, they gave me info in an email an hour ago but I've been on the phone the whole time listening to him not checking that I have options and that's exactly how they want it, they do not care about me or the quality fix of my home, just pull the shade over my eyes deflecting me for an hour plus while this dirty rat gets me to do it all his way. I had just moved to a new state, bought our new home 2 weeks earlier and said to myself State Farm has gotta be good, nope they showed they're all company people not for the customers. Weee finishing with this bs and gonna pay out of pocket to fix this right, safely (water equals possible mold) and switch back to our last company Triple A home & auto, we were with them for 20 years treated like we mattered and they cared about us, exact opposite with state farme. Oh and next thing, dirty water on our leather couch, he said sorry probably won't be able to cover, we asked him to help us get a hotel for 4-5 nights due to the loud blowers upstairs and downstairs, he immediately said no, then the water restoration company comes and instead of having their own generator, they're pulling a lot of power from here 24/7 for 5 days straight and this is ALL for us to pay for. Extremely Frustrating and Unprofessional Experience…read more I started a commercial policy with Karen's office this year, and unfortunately, it's been a terrible experience from the very beginning. I was on a payment plan, but when the policy renewed after six months, I received a bill for the full next six months. Thinking it was a mistake, I called the office and was told not to worry -- they said they would take care of it. They didn't. The policy ended up getting canceled, yet they still took the first payment for the new term. Then I received a notice from the DMV about a lapse in coverage for June. I called again and was told once more that they'd handle it. Two weeks later, I got another letter from the DMV -- this time stating that my plates had been revoked. When I called again, the story changed completely. Now they claimed I never had a payment plan in place and started blaming me for the entire issue. The level of frustration and incompetence I've experienced with this office is unbelievable. Because of their mistakes, I now have to pay a $50 fee, another $60 for a DMV hearing, and I'm still driving with canceled plates -- all due to their complete lack of professionalism and accountability.
