Finding safe and good childcare for kids nowadays can be challenging. I am so happy we found KinderCare and we went for it. We were coming from a different preschool and KinderCare was so welcoming. The staff is always friendly and personable. I cannot say enough of my child teacher Ms. Joylyn and Mr. Marcus. After I finished from my work, I was watching my son he was playing in playground One of the children was hitting my son and the other was throwing sand on his hair, clothes, face and eyes. This places is just not it for your kids honestly this was my first daycare experience and it was horrible for my child she was so miserable at this place would cry every time she see this place. They kept trying to tell me that she just had to get use to it and it's normal for kids to cry for the first week I finally had enough and moved her locations and I can say it is the best choice I made she's her normal self at the new place no crying or anything. Grateful for the caring teachers and transparent communication. Very proud of my son's progression in speaking and understanding complex language, following grouped commands, including following dance moves! He's progressed in creativity with projects, single play, and interactions with friends. Also very thankful for the school and administrators' support for HealthCare Providers! The new center director Sara is horrible!!!! Do not bring your children here! Since she started there a few weeks ago MULTIPLE long time employees have left or been fired for ridiculous reasons. i was informed her new staff are very ugly to the children. Multiple families have left as well. She went in my sons class and told the children to sit down and stay put. They are 3!!!! When the children wouldn't lay down right at nap time, she walked in and started telling the children if they don't lay down they don't get their personal blankets and pillows and would take them from the children. Keep in mind these are items the parents bring from home. When a child came to the center with chocolate milk, after the parents left she grabbed her milk and threw it away and said "no outside food or drinks!" And the child began to cry. THIS IS ABUSE IN MY EYES!!!! I called corporate and nobody even returned my call. Very disappointed! read more

I've thought long and hard about leaving an honest review of this daycare. My daughter attended from 9 months to 3 years and 3 months old and we are finally moving on. The daycare was great when we first attended. Problems started occurring when Sara became the director. So many instances of negligence. At one point, when my daughter was 1, apparently she fell on her face after standing in a bucket. She was swollen from her forehead to her mouth and there was no incident report. I had to ask what happened and no one knew until finding the teacher who witnessed it. This head injury was a concussion concern to me but the teacher admitted after the incident, my daughter was "the first one sleep" at nap time. This teacher was later promoted as assistant director at another location. What kept us there for so long was my daughter had friends there since she started and so many great teachers. They also worked with me when I lost my childcare funding. However, for the last 6 months my billing has been incorrect, my 3 year old is still in the 2's due to "lack of staff." A lot of the staff are cliquey and don't communicate well about your child's day. There was another injury just recently that I had to ask about when my daughter came home with a knot on her head and no one knew what happened with no incident report yet again!! I shouldn't have to ask about injuries. I'd also talk about my poor "potty training" experience, mold in my daughter's cup they supposedly wash daily, or how my daughter was single handedly to blame for their toilets flooding due to them not supervising children but that's way too much. Plenty of the teachers are great, it's really the leadership that needs work. Current director Maria is cold and never smiles (unless she's on a personal call). I was so disappointed when she was promoted from assistant. Current assistant director Natalie is ok, just inconsistent in her friendliness. Ms. Ivy has been a great addition as have Ms.Jessie and Ms. Jayla. Also let's recognize Ms. Shariah and Ms. Sylvia as great teachers as well. All in all, a frustratingly mediocre experience for me but one that my daughter seemed to enjoy which is why it took me so long to make the choice to find a new center. read more

I gave this place a one star because the app won't allow me to leave ZERO stars. If you want a center who has your child's safety and well being in mind, this IS NOT THE PLACE!!!!!!!! While no center can be perfect, the uneasy feeling of dropping your child off daily is not one ANY parent wants. From staff constantly changing, to me personally witnessing scolding and dragging a child out (which IS ABUSE) we had enough with this dump and finally pulled our son out. Below is an exact copy (minus names) of our termination letter to KinderCare.... This email was sent out to THREE PEOPLE HEATHER BAUER - center director of the time. MICHAEL ALEMAN-MUREL - District leader CHESLEE ESCOBEDO - regional Vice President NO ONE ACKNOWLEDGED OR REPLIED TO OUR EMAIL!!!!!!!!! I asked my sons teacher if she was aware that his last day was in two days. Her reply was "yes, Heather did mention it to us last night. I'm so sad to see him go but he will probably thrive and do much better elsewhere". --------------------------------- To Whom It May Concern After much deliberation it is our intention to remove our son from KinderCare Goodyear effective Friday April 1, 2022.  This letter will serve as an immediate termination of any agreement between our parties on said date. It seems like we have had concerns and issues since the beginning of our little-over-a-year in your facility (a child biting our son multiple times in two months, including multiple times in one week; a concern with verbal threats; inconsistent reporting of incidents, etc) and now we have uneasy feelings every time he is dropped off.   While staffing issues aren't always under management's control --even though they really are-- the turnover rate has been concerning.  We are aware of the recent release of a few staff as the result of our observations (in addition to those of other parents) and hope that in rebuilding your staff these issues will be fixed, our son just won't be part of that process. The final key to our decision comes with my wife's observation of a child being scolded and dragged outside --an outrageous behavior in any account-- and the fact that our son later told us that the same staff member "pats me on my bottom very hard when I don't listen".  How many other children has she done that to?  How has it not been observed?  This should have been addressed by the local, district, and regional levels to assure us as parents that our child isn't at risk of abuse or untoward behavior at the hands of your facility's staff. It saddens us to have a lack of confidence that our child is learning to be the best he can be in a social and academic setting. For all of these reasons we no longer feel KinderCare is a good fit for our family. Think twice about sending your child here. I informed the Director, Heather, that I had contacted DHS for what I personally had witnessed and about what my son told me about the same staff member. One would expect empathy, nope!! Her response in NO way made me feel like my child's safety was a concern of theirs. As a parent you want to be reassured that things will be okay, that's not the feeling I got. She simply reiterated the event to me and agreed that said staff "gets frazzled" and they would fully participate with any investigation. I kept wondering how many times this had happened and how many times it had been ignored. If I hadn't been on the playground and hadn't witnessed a child being DRAGGED out while SOBBING, would the other staff member have reported it???????? I found out from someone else that the child had marks left on his arm. The two staff members involved were "let go". While I applied them for doing ONE thing right, I can't help to think that if I hadn't witnessed any of it that they'd still be there. From another recent review it seems like the new director is as useless. And if you're thinking of sending your child to the Estrella location, think twice. Heather Bauer is now the director of that place. My biggest regret, other than taking my son there in the first place, is the fact that we didn't get to warn other parents who have their children at this facility. My grandson attended Kindercare on McDowell in Goodyear, AZ for 12 weeks. My grandson is now 16 months old. He has been in daycare since he was 6 weeks old in Wisconsin and 12 weeks ago his family was transferred here. Since attending the Kindercare on McDowell in Goodyear, he has had Hand. Foot and Mouth disease on 3 separate occasions. His mom and dad get it cleared up, he returns to daycare and has it again within 4-5 days! The blisters are terrible. Also, there was a time when my grandson had 4 human bites on him and they didn't inform his parents. Kindercare finally told my son that they "got rid of the biter." I have personally had a good experience with KinderCare with all my children. There has only been a few times I had any issues with my kid there and those issues were taken care of as soon as one could. I was worried with new management coming in, but I have been pleasantly surprised with how nice and personable they have been. Sarah goes out of her way to make my daughter feel special. The only thing I would rate down is the staff turnover. There have been a lot of great staff through the years and I feel there are too many new faces. Hopefully, they stick around! read more

I can't even put into words just how grateful I am to the KinderCare community, specifically my daughters teachers. Not only is the facility always clean and presentable, the staff is friendly and nurturing, and the environment is SAFE. Everything that they do is always for the betterment of the children that they are caring and easing the minds of the parents that they help. Don't even get me started on the app (I love it so much!!)! My daughters teachers in the infant room made going back to work after a long and glorious maternity leave easy. Not only are they amazing, caring, and nurturing teachers to my daughter; but they helped to nurture and ease my mind about returning to work and knowing my daughter was in good hands! I just want to say some teachers do amazing with the kids and they all do their best. However, the director here is not fair when it comes the employees. She makes friends with the ones she has as her favorites and whatever they do is okay but if you are not her friend or one of her favorite employees she will treat you so poorly. The toddler classroom is so chaotic due to the director not sticking to plans she had told teachers she had to help the toddler classroom out. We would have kids so confused due to the director changing out staff in that classroom causing a disfunction. She never understood that toddler classroom needed extra help. We have toddlers who are at different levels for example some are just coming from infant room and some are ready to go into the twos class and then we have the ones in the middle. Having all them together and mixed up is not helping the classroom work together. Another director from a different center was working with us for a while and tried to give the current director ideas and tips to help the toddler classroom out and the current director would entertain the idea up until that director returned back to her center. Children are getting hurt due to it being so chaotic in the classroom and not enough teachers. Yes, we have 18 one year olds in the class and three teachers which is ratio but when you have them all running around it becomes a little crazy and hard to manage. The director would rarely have a staff member who is not in count come in and help us out. The children are amazing and all the teachers love them and you can see that. I feel for a daycare center to run smoothly everyone should be treated equal and when classrooms need help they should get it so that the classrooms can be amazing and fun. Teachers would try to go to the director and let her know that they are getting stressed out but then would just say you can just put your two weeks in. Like I said the kids are amazing and The staff are nice to one another despite some disagreements but the director is super unprofessional. read more

I really don't know where to start.. Kindercare and their teachers are like family to MY family. I remember when my husband and I were trying to find a learning facility for our infant son then that was going to give us that comfort, that sense of my son is safe and happy. In fact, I often tell people he's in better hands at Kindercare than when he's with us at home. At kindercare, he interacts with other kids and teachers, plays learning games, sings songs, learns to count, heck... I'm learning new things from my son just about every day. I remember touring other learning centers, and I just loved their low turn-over rate- some teachers have been there since it opened! And I loved how every teacher was interacting with their students (not on their cell phones like on other tours at other centers!!) go see for yourself! Its a high-quality learning facility where I plan to keep my son in as long as I can! read more

My 4 year old has been going here since he was just 1 1/2 years old and we have had a great experience. The staff is so down to earth, caring, attentive, ect. It's always clean and secure. It's more than daycare and they actually have a very educational program. They taught my son some sign language before he could talk. They are also teaching him some Spanish with numbers and colors. At 18 months old they really went above and beyond and were a vital part in potty training him. The summer program is fantastic and they have tons of special events. My son loved the magician that came last week. Water days on Fridays are his favorite too! Melissa, Suzie, Amy and the teachers he has had are all so great! Very friendly staff! Miss Sheraya was a doll and you can tell she loves her job and the kids. She was an amazing teacher for his first experience in daycare. It really set the tone and he just loves going! He asks me to pick him up late because he wants to stay longer to play with his friends. Couldn't ask for anything more ! They care and you can tell! read more
