Then tried to tell me he was doing me a favor by changing a broken bolt or something on the tire for free but could only have been broken by someone there removing the tire. Purchased warranty on tires and every time we had an issue with it their price was always different to fix or replace. Finally had enough last time they wanted to charge almost full price of tire plus others were bald and were told needs to be changed immediately and when I stated it's under warranty was told nah it was just a recommendation by someone else there. What a Joke. They were really bad. Best thing we did was leave that place. Not to mention all four tires with warranty replacement was more than the other place where I bought new tires and got better service. Kelly tires they kept putting on are absolutely crap and loud and don't last. We had an issue all the time. Went through a lot. Switched to Mastercraft and night and day difference! I would recommend you to go somewhere else. This company is starving for money. I went with a nail in my tire and alerted them I couldn't afford a tire I just want them to plug it. The man there said he couldn't plug the tire because I rode on it. I asked if he could put the spare on instead and he did but they charged $23 to do so and was going to charge $40 to plug it. I have been to several tire shops and not one has charged me to put a spare tire on my car. I guess I should have asked to air up my flat. But they would have charged me for the air. Anyway I took my car to Walmart and guess what they plugged the tire and I made all the way to Texas with a plug these lazy folk say they couldn't do. Go to Walmart please. I'm from Houston, passing by this stablishment. My tire popped and I was using my spare one but I wanted a new one so I stopped here. I didn't agree to the price they gave me so I just wanted a patch to my spare one. $50 for a patch and for them to replace my rim with another one I had? Terrible customer service and I do not recommen. I'd rather go back to Houston for a tire than to stop here. read more

I had a flat tire so I came by to have it repaired. Dropped it off went workout and picked it up 2 hours later.

It isn't often that an out-of-towner gets to write a review such as this, but I cannot pass up the opportunity. We are from Austin, TX and had been in New Orleans, LA for five days on a conference/vacation trip. Upon leaving on Sunday, we discovered that the hotel valets had left ALL the lights on inside and outside our car, resulting in a dead battery. They jumped us off and got us on the road. Needing to stop for gas in Lafayette, LA, we were afraid the battery hadn't charged enough and wouldn't start up again. I randomly called this Goodyear, because they were the first location I saw on my phone, and spoke with Richard. It was pouring rain, but he quickly told me to come by and he would check out my battery. He immediately motioned us into the shop area so we wouldn't get wet, and checked the battery. Only a truly honest person would do this, not charge us a cent, and then tell us that the battery would be fine to get us back to Austin! Being from out of town, with a LONG trip ahead of us, I would have fully expected that we would be told we needed to buy a new battery right then and there, otherwise we would risk not getting home safely. MANY MANY MANY THANKS to Richard and his Goodyear staff, we made it home safely and with a battery that now seems to be fully charged. He not only saved us money, but he also made new customers should we ever (hopefully not!) need vehicle service during our drives east. THANK YOU AGAIN! read more

Great place to wait for service or tires!! All sorts of great spots to shop, eat, and do errands just next door and across the street. Staff helpful and efficient, and go out of their way to make the customer feel at home. Took the OUCH out of replacing tires, which is a real achievement. They even fill out any rebate paperwork for you at the store, address the envelope, seal and apply the stamp! read more

An update to my previous review about the Goodyear Store located at 2802 Johnston Street in Lafayette, La. After rudely being turned away because my flat tire was muddy and told to power wash it first, I went only three businesses down to Quick Lube and tires. They took a water hose, washed my tire, found I had a place in the sidewall. By the way, these are new tires. They went to your store, and BOUGHT A REPLACEMENT TIRE...of course there was an upcharge. I also had my oil changed while there. It is ridiculous that the Goodyear Store turned me away. The young man that I dealt with was not at all friendly or helpful, yet; he still got a sale because Quick Lube got the new tire from him. Not happy at all. read more

Initially I went to Goodyear for the quality of the tires. Poor, poor decision. I purchased the three year alignment which was never used because every time I went to have work done, it was ALWAYS a two to three hour wait before they could get started. I need a balance and rotate, two to there hour wait! I have a screw in my tire, two to three hour wait! Poor, poor service! Their labor costs are the same as dealer costs & the wait is longer! Do yourself a favor, find another service provider unless you have a day to waste. The first Goodyear on Johnson St. excuse was they only had one mechanic. The second Goodyear at Acadiana Mall excuse was they were short handed because for over a year now everyone either doesn't show up for their interviews or they fail their drug test. They don't have enough technicians to be able to complete their work in a reasonable amount of time. It might actually be quicker for me to drive an hour to Baton Rouge and have my vehicle serviced there then to wait on either of the Lafayette locations. Imagine to have the pressure checked on your tire takes this establishment approximately 8 hours. You have to also leave your vehicle there with them to have this done or sit and wait for like I said approximately 8 hours. It is not difficult to check the air pressure and add some air in a tire. There were no leaks but the TPMS indicator came on due to the change in temperature. I am regretful that I purchased my tires and warranty from this establishment. I will never again make that mistake. read more

Great place to get an oil change. I was shopping at the grocery store and found one of their coupons for a $17 oil change. The wait was reasonable and they checked everything on my car even fixed a flat tire for free. read more
