I can't say enough good things about Nichols Autowerks. I have a 2012 BMW 135i with only 28,000…read moremiles that had an issue two other local shops were unable to diagnose. After spending time and money elsewhere without getting an answer, I brought it to Nichols. Mike, the owner, actually sat down with me and took the time to listen to what had been going on with the car and my concerns. They were able to isolate the problem and, surprisingly, it turned out to be a software update. They fixed the issue, took care of a new set of brake pads while it was there, and kept me informed throughout the process. What impressed me most was the combination of knowledge, communication, and honesty. There was no guessing and no trying to sell me repairs I didn't need. They figured out what two other shops couldn't and fixed it correctly. If you own a BMW, another foreign vehicle, or really any make or model and want someone who actually knows what they're doing, I highly recommend Nichols Autowerks. Mike and his shop have earned my business. Five stars without hesitation.

He also told us the car wasn't leaving but on a wrecker. He never bothered to tell us the battery was dead. Had to jump the battery on Saturday, rented a car dolly and towed it home. We found a reman pump for just over $100, changed it ourselves, the car runs now and we saved $1300. He also fussed about my granddaughter running out of gas. She didn't run out. The car wasn't leaving parked over a month because she was recuperating from ankle surgery. The gas went bad in the car.

Extremely disappointing experience. My vehicle has been at this shop for over a month, and the…read morebiggest issue has been the lack of thoroughness, urgency, and communication. I was initially given my vehicle back before the full problem was identified, only to have to return it because a major repair was still needed. Since then, there have been additional delays simply because communications weren't being checked or acted on, leaving necessary repairs sitting untouched. I should not have to constantly follow up or physically come to the shop just to make sure someone is checking messages and moving my repair forward. Meanwhile, I'm continuing to incur additional transportation and rental expenses because of these delays. Customers should not have to manage the repair shop themselves to get their vehicle properly fixed. I would not recommend this shop based on my experience.
