Horrible! Went because oil was leaking out of car. Had checked plus other "things" they found. Put new gaskets on , said was a crack in them why oil was leaking. Replaced that and other things, two weeks later I start smelling oil. Checked my tank and hardly had anything in it. My car was burning what was left . Why didn't the oil get checked to make sure i had some and replace it if was empty before I left and paid almost $1000 there?? Women watch out , we are an easy target at places like this! read more

The folks at Goodyear located at 2407 Wade Hampton Blvd. in Greenville SC have been taking care of me and my 2009 Camry since 2014 and I cannot say enough good things about them. As a woman, it is sometimes difficult to find a good mechanic that does not talk down to you, etc. Matt Taylor, the Service Manager, and Josh (who has been "my" mechanic for the past year) do an outstanding job taking care of my car and providing excellent customer service with a smile and with kindness. Last week my check engine light came on. I pulled over and called them right away and they managed my anxiety and said it might not be a big repair and that I could bring it in to have it checked anytime. I had hoped it would be nothing but on my way home from work the car started to shudder and I headed right there, knowing that it needed to be looked at. It was pouring rain, and I made it within a mile and the car completely stopped at a red light. I called and Josh listened to what had led to the car dying and said he would arrange for a tow truck and that he would wait for me at the store until I got there. It was close to 6pm so I was worried. Just hearing Josh say that he would wait for me, dialed my anxiety level down from a 10 to a 1. Who does that?!?! Matt and Josh do that! These folks are so kind, so professional, and provide such EXCELLENT customer service, which is why I trust them implicitly and keep coming back. ALSO, the tow he arranged for me arrived within 10 minutes (that almost never happens). They even had someone drive me home (a young woman who is in training, which I thought was cool). Like anyone who has their car in the shop, I was anxious to get the estimate and was praying it could be fixed for a reasonable price. Spoke to Matt then Josh and heard the list of what needed attention. Ouch! Who has $2000 to drop on a car repair? Not me. They understood that and did not scare me to squeeze out a few extra $$ on unnecessary services. They did an excellent job explaining everything to me (in language I understood and without an ounce of condescension) and prioritized for me what needed to be done immediately and what could wait. Also, Matt calmed me down when I was in the shop and burst into tears when I heard the quote. Who does that? They do!! Earlier this year I had an incident with my A/C Compressor and serpentine belt, and they were as professional and understanding as they were with this recent interaction. These folks know what they are doing. They do thorough inspections. They are superb at repair work. They are Top Notch in the customer service department. This is where you would want your elderly mother to get her car fixed. I think word has gotten out about how great they are, so be sure to make an appointment for oil changes, etc. as they are VERY busy these days. read more

While on vacation in September 2024 I had a blowout in Marietta, Georgia. It was a Sunday afternoon and nothing was open. I finally got ahold of an independent "tire person" who got me back on the road 3 hours later with a used tire. I arrived at my destination at Greenville, SC that night. The next morning I found Goodyear store #2344 at 2407 Wade Hampton Blvd in Greenville. We discovered that my Goodyear tire had a manufacturers defect that caused the blowout. The tire had only 13,000 miles on it. Matt Taylor at the store took control, ordered me an exactly the same new tire and had it installed the next day FREE OF CHARGE. Went to get an oil change and air filter replaced. Even though I set an appointment for 10:00am the guy said it would take till 2:00pm to have this done and he would call me to let me know how much the air filter cost. My car ended up not being ready till 4:00pm and they never called about how much the air filter was. The air filter ended up being $23 which is insane. When I have had this done before at other cit normally cost $8. Also they charge a discard fee for the old filter. Update: this place does not have free WiFi and just has basic dish. Probably the worst waiting room for an auto repair shop. If you're going to take your car here your better off dropping it off. read more

My wife's van had a hole in tire. Terry at the front desk worked his best to get my wife taken care considering we had a meeting 3 hours away to get to. It was about a 45 minute wait. I asked if I could go home to pick something up instead of waiting there and giving him the key to the van. He was courteous and said sure I'll see you soon. When I came back to Goodyear, Terry met me and took care of our van there on the spot. His customer service was beyond AMAZING!!!!!! He hands me his card and tells me if we have any issues to contact him any time. When I got back to the van, I noticed on the card that Terry is the store manager. These folks are liars ... BIG TIME! Last night one of my tires found a nail. It didn't go flat (I heard and then saw it) but I knew I needed to take care of it. I stopped at the closest place which happened to be this Goodyear store. They "examined" my tire and informed me the tires were too worn to be fixed. I needed to spend $850 for new tires. Uh ... I don't think so! These were Michelin tires with less than 25,000 miles on a 60,000+ mile tire. I collected my car and drove two doors down to Just Right Auto who fixed it for $25. No fuss what's. These Goodyear folks do what's best for them, not their customers. AVOID COMPLETELY! read more

Our company has been a client of Goodyear for several years. Recently, I took one of our vehicles to be serviced at the store located at 2407 Wade Hampton Blvd Greenville, SC 29615. The vehicle needed the front brakes replaced. Several hours and several phone calls later, a mysterious problem arose with the rear brakes (which were working perfectly prior), and I was assured by the manager that it could not be driven without the repair. My simple brake job became a bill for over $1100! I picked up the vehicle, asking that the cost be billed to our account. Several days later, the manager (Darrin Hawk) emailed us to request information to update our account. Subsequently, he contacted us to say that our account had been canceled, demanding immediate payment. I requested an invoice from which to pay, but I was told he could not provide one. I asked for a number for his supervisor or the accounting department, and he repeatedly refused to provide the contact number, saying "they don't want to talk to you." We've utilized Goodyear to service our fleet for several years, but I have never experienced such a bizarre and insulting situation as this one. I'm unsure why this manager refuses to issue an invoice for payment or provide contact information for his superiors, but it has left us with no desire to ever do business with Goodyear again. read more
