Not the most experienced group of mechanics here. We had electrical problems with our vehicle and they replaced several parts without bothering the run a diagnostic. They replaced brand new batteries stating they were "dead" but after having the batteries tested at another shop, they were perfectly healthy. They couldn't repair our vehicle so we had to take it to another shop. But before we could do that, they forced us to pay for the all the work that was done. Upon providing proof that they replaced perfectly healthy batteries, they tried to refuse refunding us for anything. Only after getting corporate involved were we able to get a refund. Then they tried to argue that we were not getting refunded the taxes? Overall would avoid this place as there are several other options within a mile. read more

I was on my last couple days of a camping trip when my tire went flat over 1000 miles away from my home. They were able to repair the wheel and get me back on the road in less than 24 hours. I should have checked reviews before going here. I took my 2022 Ram TRX in because I had a screw in the driver side rear tire. Scheduled an appointment that same day at 1400 hours. Sean (front desk) said it'd be about an hour...I walked around and came back in an hour...here's where it begins... I was told that the screw was in the 'no repair zone'. Ok, great...why didn't you guys come take a look initially when I was making the appointment OR call me when you realized it...I'm sure it didn't take you an hour to figure that out. So, I asked Sean, did you guys at least put on the full size spare? Sean said no, because it's not the same size...I asked him to walk out and he did...realized it is the same exact tire/wheel so, he put it back in queue to have the techs put the spare on (thx for wasting another 45' of my day for 1 tire). Sean then proceeded to tell me that that tire is specific only to TRX and I have to go through the dealer (which after making a call to the dealer and jumping online and finding the tire on Tire Rack, found out wasn't true). When they brought the truck around, Sean said it was no charge...and that he was now somehow able to order the tire for me but here is how the techs delivered my truck...1. The tire jack (they pulled out from under the front passenger seat to lower the spare) was left on the floorboard and I had to go back in to ask them to come put it back 2. The tire had all of the stickers left on it, and was filthy from being mounted under the truck...no attempt was made to clean the tire/wheel at all after mounting 3. The cap on the rear bumper was left dangling and not reinstalled 4. The tire pressure was 10 psi below the other 3 tires. My tires were not riding right and they figured out the problem which 3 other places could not identify. Got me beautiful new tires and new shocks to prevent it from happening again. They were very nice to me not condescending at all - Super professional patient and explanatory! I even threw in a coupon I did not know about! I went to the counter and no one around. I heard someone talking in the office. When he was good and ready he walked out with an irritated look as if to say I don't need this. I told him I was on the way out of town and my tire started loosing air. I said it will be flat in ten minutes or less. Can you fix it for me? He said can you leave it with me? It will be this afternoon. I said to fix a tire? He said we are fully booked. There were only a couple of cars there. From the other reviews I just read. I was shopping at the outlet mall down the road and got a metal piece in my tire. I drove it to Goodyear Auto Service before it was flat. They told me it would take about an hour altogether to patch it. It took them about 20 minutes total. They were very friendly, fast, and helpful. Best of all, it was completely free. They said it is their policy to do patches free of charge in hopes that the next time one goes to buy tires, they buy Goodyear. read more

On my way home today (between shifts) I noiced my tire pressure indicator was lit so I stopped in to get air. Upon putting air into my tire the attendant noticed I had a screw in my tire. After a brief conversation (making an appt/my crazy schedule) he told me they would get in and out with time to spare and take care of me immediately (and they had a lot of cars in their lot).Within 45 minutes my tire was patched and I was good to go (well earlier then I needed to leave). As if that wasn't enough they comp'd the entire visit. I was beyond shocked (other places see a female and see $$ signs). Mason was great - extemely helpful. In fact the entire staff was courteous and professional. Also thank you to Benjamin who serviced my vehicle. Additionally the center and waiting area was clean, well-lit and comfortable, a far cry from other service centers. I highly recommend this business and they have a new customer for life. read more

Please, please do yourself a favor and don't deal with this company store. Look at the review history. It says something. If you look at the reviews every one is 1 out of 5 stars except for a few (obviously fake 5 out of 5 reviews for free puncture repair = their company sales gimmick). Every other Goodyear store within 30 miles gets at least a 4 out of 5 rating. Goodyear Corporate, if you are listening do something about your dealer. I have had a number of bad dealings with them both for myself and the company I work for. My son took his car to them today with a nail in a tire. They insisted that he get 2 new tires. All of his tires were less than 2 years old with good tread. Walmart fixed the puncture for $15. They were great. Goodyear Destin are dishonest, lying ripoffs. read more

I had a nail in my tire & they worked me in today even though they only had 1 very busy mechanic working because of the corona virus. These guys always offer top notch service. I go to them for all my tire & auto service needs & they always have done a great job. Even though they were overworked & understaffed today they made time for me. Goodyear usually does a good service job, but not this time. I called for an appointment to have oil change and tires rotated. Got one at 2pm. When I arrived was told they were behind 3/4 to an hour. So I left and made appointment at 8:00 am a couple days later. When I arrived, I was told they double booked, and the wait was an hour. AGAiN! I had time so I waited. I requested to check tire pressure and engine air filter, also. Car was finished 1-3/4 hours later. No indication of tire pressures or air filter condition. The tire warning light was still on! I was tired of waiting so I left. I pumped up the tires myself and warning light went out. Moral of story: Be prepared to wait even having appointment. read more

I stopped by to get a tire fixed. Was told they couldn't do it - I asked if they could do it anytime today and was told no. So when any of my three vehicles need tires the last place I'll go is this Goodyear store! No customer service at all! I went to express oil. They took me immediately. I spent 9 years being a loyal customer at the Niceville location. Thanks to the Destin store I will never bring my vehicles here, or to any Goodyear again. If you need "just an oil change," be prepared to wait the whole 3 hour service time WITH AN APPOINTMENT. They don't take jobs by appointment. They take whoever walks in with the most lucrative job. I was first 0800 appointment with only 1 person in waiting room from earlier. Another lady came in behind me also with an 0800 oil change appointment. I watched as others came and went while I waited nearly the whole 3 hours. The lady who came in behind me left 20-30 minutes before me. Apparently, her "simple oil change" became something more because her bill was more than twice what she initially came for. I suppose they eventually had to find time to do my common, easy job...their 0800 appointment. ‍ I will not go back. I don't support a business that doesn't value my time. read more

Well I have to disagree with the 5 stars. I was quoted over $850 to change the battery in my wife's car that we were told was dead (mini cooper). When asked why, the reply was "well we have to remove half of the dash". Fast forward 6 months, of the battery STILL living and died 2 days ago. I removed said named half of the dash (that required 2 screws be removed) in less than 10 minutes. Total cost to me $154.00. This is wrong. DO NOT GO THERE! Lazy, looked irritated at me for being there waiting. Was told to leave the car with them for several hours without even asking me what I needed help with, when all I needed was to get home. Once they looked out the window they saw my car. I had to drive 30 minutes on a flat because "my car is too low" Never asked me anything. I had one tire that needed to be repaired so I could make it home. It's weird because my low profile jack has no issue getting my car off the ground. I don't see why you "have to put it on the lift" for ONE TIRE. At least 2-3 were sitting in the office chatting, it's no wonder they need several hours with your vehicle. Any time I've EVER gone to a goodyear, they have been helpful in anyway they can. These guys are here to work their 8 hour shift and collect a paycheck then leave. I'm sure the mechanics have a far better work ethic, than these hard working desk workers. As I've seen in another comment, it seems as if they didn't care because they couldn't up charge me in some way. Maybe I'm discriminated against because I don't have a big yee yee truck or plain regular vehicle. I didn't swing by here because you're right down the street from me or this is my favorite shop ever. I agree with most of the reviews here. I had to take my car there for a nail in my tire on a Sunday morning when visiting family in Destin. Took over an hour to get it fixed even though there was only one other customer with a minor battery check. The 2 guys in the back were too busy bull- shitting with each other & walking back & forth to talk about their nights or whatever was so important. The one guy finally finished my tire so I could get on with the day. I understand that people like to visit at work but do it during the down time when customers aren't waiting. The manager needs to spend some time there & revise their work habits or hire people that have better customer service skills. Ridiculous that employees take advantage of employment & don't give a crap about the customer!!! read more

AN OIL CHANGE SHOULD NOT TAKE THIS LONG. Had an appointment for an oil change today and it took them an hour and 45 minutes to complete. When I asked if it normally took that long the employee responded, "it usually takes an hour because we do a complementary inspection, but it took us a while to get your car in." Not sure why it took them a while to get my car in when I had an appointment. Anyway I will not be returning to Goodyear, this is my second terrible experience with them. Very unhappy with this business. We were quoted an exorbitant price to do brake service and other things that we found out did not need to be done. Our quote was way over $1000. We took our vehicle to another repair shop for a second opinion and found out nothing needed to be done, not even the brakes . This company is downright scamming its customers. I wish I could leave a negative star for Goodyear Auto Service Center in Destin. This is from my MIL and FIL. We bought into their alignment and tire rotation program when we get our oil changed. We went in the week before Labor Day 2019 to get our oil changed, tires rotated and an alignment. While there, they told us that we needed new brakes and rear rotor. It was going $575 for parts alone. I knew my son could do it, so we did not have it done. The staff then put my tires back on and we were on our way. I purchased the parts and my son was set up to take the lug nuts off and do the brakes. We found out that at least 6 lug nuts had been stripped, so we were not able to do the brakes. I took my vehicle back to Goodyear the next day to show them that the lug nuts were stripped and explained that they were the last ones to touch the tires. They proceeded to argue with me and we settled with them replacing the lug nuts for the fee of the parts, which was $117. That is the estimate that I signed. They ended up doing 18 of them instead of the full 20 lug nuts. They purchased the parts from Advance and thankfully they didn't upcharge for the parts. When my vehicle was done, my total was $241.76. They told me that the estimate didn't include the labor. I have done business for a long time and labor is always included in the estimate, but I was stuck. Pay the bill or my car was held hostage. I would not recommend this place. They have the worst customer service and do not care if they tear up your vehicle, because that is how they make more money. read more

Very unprofessional experience. I dropped my vehicle off all day on Friday 2/28 for an alignment they didn't even do the work. They said there was not locktite on the tie rod so they decided not to do it. They didn't even call to let me know so I wasted a full day just letting the car sit there not getting worked on. Then to top it off when I picked up my car I went out to the parking and say they left the dome lights on and killed my battery. So I had to go back in to ask for a jump. The next morning I tried to leave for work and the battery was dead. Jumped it again then drove to work. When I got to work I shut off the car and tried to start it again and battery was dead again. So I didn't even get the work done that was needed and I'm out $150 for a new battery that they killed. I called Saturday 2/29 to let them know about the battery and they said that "there was not a manager there until monday" but they would have them call me. No one reached out to me all day Monday. So I called today Tuesday 3/3 and they said the manager was in a meeting. Finally, a manager called back an hour later and denied everything and talking out of his ass blaming the remote start and aftermarket audio but I've never had any issues with my battery until they touched it. The manager didn't even apologize for the inconvenience and terrible service all he said was have a good and hung up on me. read more

Don't bother with scheduling an appointment. An appointment time means nothing to them. I had an appointment for 9 and they said it would take three hours to change oil and rotate tires. Then they called a few minutes before the appointment and told me it would be quite a bit longer since they were already backed up. Take your business elsewhere if time means anything to you.
