On Saturday May 9th around 2:00 pm my car broke down about 15 miles from the Goodyear Auto Service center on 7128 Transit Rd, Amherst, NY. AAA towed us to this facility where we were greeted by Kurt Bey. Kurt provided service beyond the call of duty. He virtually immediately started to troubleshoot the problem, which he linked very quickly to a dysfunctional key. He corrected some of the computer error signs and got us back on the road. In gratitude, I offered him money, after he said there was no charge. He refused to accept the money. The service was absolutely courteous, efficient and professional. They deserve to be acknowledged for that. They got me on the road within 2.5 hours from breaking down on a Saturday afternoon, where I feared i would be stuck in town through the weekend. I stopped by Goodyear this morning with a flat tire that clearly needed a patch and was purchased at this store. I am a returning customer who has been with Goodyear for years. Being down car just wasn't an option today. Unfortunately, I was told they wouldn't even be able to look at it until tomorrow (keep in mind it's 9 AM). No offer to at least inspect the damage or see if it was a quick fix-just a flat "come back tomorrow." I understand being busy , but when it comes to something as urgent as tire repairs, a little flexibility or customer service goes a long way. Disappointed by the lack of urgency and unwillingness to help. Over the years I have never said anything when I scheduled a rotation appointment and my car isn't taken back until 45 minutes after my appointment time. Today was the last straw though. In my time of need Goodyear left me stranded and for that reason I will find a new tire place. One note I did find a place down the street that helped me on the spot and it took them less than an hour. I didn't buy the tires from them it was just good customer service. read more

Went to the Amherst/Williamsville location to have no one at the front counter for several minutes. People in waiting room even said they had been there for much too long. I had a NYS inspection appointment. An hour after I arrived I was told that I needed almost $1,400 of work done on my car. Went down the road to another chain store and they repaired it for almost half the cost. Will literally never go to this Goodyear again. read more

Booked an NYSI appointment for Saturday at 10 am, received the appointment confirmation the day before no problem. Show up at 9:58, stand at the front desk for 10 minutes with no one around, ( I can hear them all in the shop in the back laughing ) step outside ( in the rain but that's not Goodyear's Fault ) and see a number to call for "contactless dropoff" , call the number and the guy is clearly in the shop and says "sorry man I can't hear you you'll have to call back " then hangs up on me. I walk back inside and the same guy ( skinny guy with facial hair and a hoody, didn't catch the name ) that answered is there , I explain I'm here for my NYSI appt and am told " yeah we don't have that appointment", I show him the appointment confirmation and am basically told that doesn't mean anything and they don't have anything for me, then when I push that I'm here anyway and it's a simple state inspection I get an afterthought excuse about them being robbed and not having any NYSI stickers. Clearly an excuse to get me out of there. Poor customer service, poor experience. When we all emerge from COVID and we have choices on where to Go again the businesses with good Customer services will shine, this location will not. read more

Do not use. This is the worst service I've ever heard of in the world. We scheduled a morning appointment, received confirmation, and was called an HOUR before my appointment to be told that it was not going to be kept and my only options were to pick another time. They claim that their scheduling system doesn't work in that way? Don't use it then. Don't tell people that they can schedule online and then tell them that's not the case. I work with a large majority of the public as well and plan on letting everyone know what Goodyear will do to them. Take my word, don't let them waste your time as well. Worst place ever make sure you get it in writing went in there August 2nd got a quote for four tires with tax 522 I asked four times does that include everything he said yes so my total will be 522 when I pick up my vehicle yes he lied they added on 125 installation plus 100 for some road hazard the brake inspection that was supposed to be included with 75 more my bill was 911 the mechanic stated you cannot get tires for under $600 bucks that's a lie I've had tires all the way around installed by Mavis for 487 my dealership installed them prior to that for under $500 I don't have a sports car the salesman flat out lied to me I would not recommend this place at all read more

There are always coupons available so that you never pay full price, and the staff recommends services your vehicle may need, but they are never pushy about it. They have a TV area with seating and coffee and also a work are with places to plug in your computer. read more

Went to Good Year on Transit Rd. in Williamsville. I needed front brakes and a NYSI. During the NYSI they came out and said I needed tires. Total bill was eight hundred and some odd dollars. The smartest thing I did all day was to pay for that by check. I came back at 3:00 pm to pay for and pick the car up. While I was in paying my girlfriend drove the car to her uncles house nearby. Several minutes after she left she called me up and asked if it was normal that the brake pedal go right to the floor. When I got to her uncle's house I took the car for a ride around the block. The pedal did go right to the floor. I called my bank and put a stop payment on the check I wrote. I called Northtown Toyota and Brought the car to them. Goodyear screwed the brake job up and then did not bleed the brakes when finished. They could not have taken the car for the mandatory test drive when they were finished. Northtown redid the brake job. Their bill was just over a thousand dollars and they wrote me a letter describing the mistakes that Good Year made. I did call Good Year the day this happened. They denied they did anything wrong and told me to bring the car back. I told them they should have done the job correctly the first time and I was bringing the car to Northtown. A few weeks go by and Good Year starts calling me looking for their payment. I then went to Amherst Small Claims Court trying to get the thousand plus dollars back that I paid Northtown. A Good Year manager called me and his offer was I pay him the $800.00 and he pays me the $1,000.00. He would not admit that the guy that worked on my car that day screwed up. read more

I was looking for a new pair of tires for my Jeep. My last set was purchased at a discount tire store and I was underwhelmed. As it turns out Goodyear was able to beat their prices and was hands above the competition as far as customer service. I liked them so much I made an appointment for my girlfriends car and she got new tires, alignment and inspection on her Honda Pilot - all in an hour. Keep up the great work. read more

Previously had an inspection done at this location and couldn't have been more thrilled with the customer service from the manager as well as the cleanliness of the waiting room. Their coffee bar offered tea, decaf coffee, regular coffee and hot chocolate, all which were freshly made with their keurig machine ! read more

It is rare to find honesty in the auto repair world, but I am happy to report that it does exist at this Goodyear location. When a mistake was made during an inspection, they immediately acknowledged it, ordered the new part and performed the repair for free. No effort to cover it up and send me out the door. Would give zero stars but it won't let me. I bought tires after they installed them my truck was shaking, there answer was to put the fronts on the back so when I need a rotation problem will be back. The truck was better but still shaking, I asked to have them check out the front end they said everything was fine. After about 20 miles one of my bearings fell apart and I had to have my truck towed to get it fixed. So not I have a new front end and the tires are still shaking, so I stopped by to see what could be done I was yelled at by the service manager he told me he was too busy to help me but not to busy to just stand behind the corner. I didn't expect anything to happen on the spot but I also didn't expect to get yelled at and treated like I was the inconvenience. Well played read more

I have been bringing my vehicle to the Goodyear on Transit Rd for many years. I have a company vehicle and they are an acceptable vendor for servicing, etc. Last week I realized my oil was due and I had to leave for out of town same day. I called and spoke to Cardell at Goodyear, explained my dilemma and he fit me in within an hour and a half! I was on the road timely for my trip because of the outstanding customer service. I've used a Goodyear service center for 21 years on all my vehicles and have never had an issue until using this place. Moving to the area, I decided to try this Dealership as it was close to my house. I made an appointment and dropped off my vehicle for an oil change and a curtsy inspection of the fluids and brakes. I was told the appointment would be about 3 hours. 4 hours later I returned to check on my vehicle. The person behind the counter( David) was rude and clearly didn't want to deal with me. He told Me because I didn't have an appointment this would take all day because they were busy and Id have to wait in line. I explained I had an appointment and only wanted the oil changed and brakes/fluids checked. He then stated he didn't know what was being done on my car and how long it would take, but maybe they found something wrong with my car. He said I would be called when my car was done. He then turned around and answered a phone call. I will defiantly never bring business here again. read more
