If I could give zero stars, I would. I came in with a simple issue -- state inspection. They claimed my wiper blades needed replacing or I'd fail, even though I had literally replaced them last month. I called their bluff and asked for proof. Within a minute, they "revised" their story and said it was actually the rear wiper that supposedly needed replacing -- and suddenly I would pass after all. The whole situation reeked of either incompetence or dishonesty. Between the upselling scare tactics, the contradictions, and the clear lack of integrity, I will never come back here and I strongly recommend others steer clear. There are plenty of honest shops out there that won't try to take advantage of you -- this is not one of them. read more

This firestone location is poor. They do good work but you will be waiting an ungodly amount of time for the work to be done. The first time i waited 6 hours for 4 new tires to be put on my pickup. They then wanted to know if i wanted an alignment. They said it takes an additional 2 hours. Some people have work and responsibilities to take care of. I came back again for the alignment and spent 2 1/2 hours there waiting. Their waiting "room" has 6 chairs that are so worn out from previous people that have been stuck there sitting for hours. They also scraped my inspection sticker off to force me to pay 60 bucks for a 5 dollar light bulb. They said that i could not leave without my inspection sticker. They offered to tow my truck at my expense if i did not buy the 60 dollar light bulb. Their prices are not much better than the dealer with wait times to match. I go to smaller shops so i can get work done quicker. Not longer. I cant recommend this shop to others. Infact i actively complain to others about firestone. I would not recommend firestone to others. read more

Matthew Bajek is a great man...went there for an alignment check and told him i use to do this type of work and i can read the printout on the alignment check,he said no problem..hour later he said im all set and heres my printout the truck didnt need any adjustments.I said this tahoe was hit head on and no adjustments?? wow i paid $35.00 and was out the door....Great people read more

The good news is that since reporting the problems on Yelp, I did get contacted by Firestone's home office, and they in turn had a manager reach back to me to discuss the situation. The home office sincerely wants to improve operations and make good on any shortcomings. The area manager acknowledged the problems and sincerely apologized for my experiences, which I appreciated, but did nothing to reimburse me for the 8 quarts of synthetic Oil I had to purchase when they sent me away with an empty crank case or offer me any other reimbursement for the expenses I endured due to their not having a record of the location of the air-conditioning leak that I paid to have tested with an evacuation and recharge with dye and had to pay to do a second time at a different location. To be fair, I didn't ask for any reimbursement, but telling them what I endured should've compelled them to offer it as a matter of basic customer service. I did a little digging, and did find two of the excellent mechanics that left eastern hills, one of which went to a firestone on Sheridan Drive and Niagara Falls Blvd., and one of whom left the firestone family, and went to a Mr Tire / Monro on Millersport Highway. I've since brought vehicles to both those locations without any problems. As a creature of habit, I really hoped things would've worked out at the Eastern Hills location. read more

Basically paid them for a service only to find out it wasn't done and had to pay another garage 3 days later to do the same job.

A few weeks ago I scheduled an appointment for an oil change, inspection and tire rotation. They knew I was waiting. It was well over 2 hours. My daughter just went today for the same services and after 2.5 hours asked for her keys and left. Someone in the waiting are said they were there over 4 hours so far. It's too bad because I had been happy with the service in the past. I ended up getting my wife's car and my car new tires at a local competitor. We have 5 cars we were servicing there and will no longer go back. read more

I have to change two tires and I made an appointment at 3. I was told that it doesn't take that long, probably an hour and half. I took me 3.5 hours to get my car back. Now that I finally have a chance to take a look. They didn't give me the tires I ordered. They also Scratched my car. The shop is closed so I can't do anything til tomorrow. Save yourself time and headaches. Go somewhere else!!!! read more

My car was not starting properly and it appeared that perhaps my battery might be an issue. I tried to get my regular mechanic to look at this but his shop is not open on weekends. I also tried to get the dealer and was given an appointment date for 2 weeks later. After calling around to a few chain auto places, I spoke with 2 individuals at this Firestone location. They informed me that they are very busy that Saturday but if I can bring my car in, they can take a look at the battery. I did not get around to bringing my car in on that Saturday but called Firestone again to see if I can get an appointment for Sunday morning. I was very fortunate that they have a lot for 11:00 am Sunday morning. Took my car in at around 10:45 Sunday morning and explained to Luis (who was helping me) the issue I have been experiencing. He said it would take about one to one and a half hours to change the battery (if it needed to be replaced), My wife picked me up and we left the Firestone store to run some other errands. I got a call from Firestone at around 11:30 and Luis informed me that my battery is fine. They are not sure why I am having problems with starting but did notice a loose connection to the battery and have tightened this for me. Went back to Firestone to pick up my car and Luis told me to run the car for a bit to recharge the battery. And if I continue to have problems, I can bring it back for further investigation. No charge since checking battery is free at Firestone. My whole experience with Luis and the team there was excellent. No hassle and very honest and easy to deal with. They were upfront with me on everything - unlike most of my previous experience at other auto places. Kudos to Luis - great job and an exemplary employee for that location. read more

We were traveling from California and had low pressure tire sensors fail due to low batteries and the cold weather. Firestone delivered exceptional service, they checked all sensors, recommended replacement of only the bad ones, and also tested the main battery which was old and close to failing. This was my daughters car, as her father and thinking about her car not starting in cold weather was not a good feeling. We were a walk in customer and they fixed everything under 1hr. I had an appointment several months ago, I arrived on time for my appointment and found a sign posted that the location was closed down for a Covid outbreak and had been closed for a couple days. No one from this site contacted me to let me know the appointment would need to be cancelled and rescheduled. A wasted day on my part. Two weeks ago, I contact the manager Dave to ask for a simple appointment to change my snow tires back to summer tires, he tells me they have a one plus week wait. I tell him about my appointment that they never cancelled, asked for courtesy to move up the appointment, he never once apologized, he acknowledged the Covid outbreak and told me I would have to wait a week. Very disappointing for a long-time client at this site. read more

I've been going here for over five years for tires, oil changes, etc... I am always treated with respect and given updates on my vehicle's progress, as well as told about optional services in addition to what I came in for. I never feel rushed or forced into a decision like some other car mechanics can make you do. I will continue to bring my vehicles here as long as they can put up with me! read more

Really like this store. It's clean for starters which you wouldn't think it would be. The staff are very knowledgeable and a great help. It's convenient location is great too. The manager was awesome and helped save me money instead of over charging me and trying to sell me stuff I didn't need! Very good place to bring my van. I will bring it here again. read more

This store is excellent. I have had issues with Sears (didn't seal the tires and caused leaks) and Dunn tire is very good but they charge $100-300 more and hope to try to "match" price instead of offering a good price upfront. Firestone offers a very good price...with excellent customer service. And I had an issue where they charged me for a warranty in the tire that I didn't want. I called and spoke with manager Rick Brodzik. I asked him if he could take this off even though I signed a commitment to that dollar amount before they did the service. He said "absolutely no problem". He took it off and even sent me a letter confirming the credit the very next day. If you feel like you are the type of person that are uncomfortable with dealing with tire places for fear they will take advantage - then this is the place for you. They are upfront and honest. And that is all I ask when dealing with auto stuff. read more

I realized I needed an oil change in my truck so I called Firestone on a Monday morning to see if I needed to make an appointment. They told me that it was pretty slow and to just come in but when I got there it had gotten very very busy and it would've taken a while for my truck to be finished. When I said that I needed to get to work before then they offered to make an appointment for the following day and do the oil change free of charge! That is fabulous customer service! Never have I ever had such an amazing experience at a car service business like I had the other day at Firestone . My car was shaking like crazy after I had bought groceries . I thought maybe because it's the middle of winter and I hit so many pot holes the alignment was off so I took it to Firestone to see what was wrong with it . 15 minutes after we dropped it off they called to tell me it was because of the build up of ice in my tires so they would thaw it out for me . Seeing as I know nothing about cars they could of easily said it was the alignment and charged me for it and just said that was the problem . It was nice knowing there are some trustworthy people in this world . They were so friendly and I really appreciated it . read more

Went here to get my car aligned. 91 dollars pretty steep. And I had to bring my car back 4 times for them to align it again and they still couldn't get it to stop pulling to the right. Then I took my truck there after I put in my simple torsion lift. 2 inches. Now my truck pulls to the right when it didn't before and my tires are wearing choppy. Would not recommend this place to anyone, the techs here do garbage work. Taking my truck back again to get my truck aligned. Seeing if they want to buy me new tires now cause god knows I don't have any money for them since they fucked it up. This review isn't necessarily about this companies work ethic, but it is a remark nonetheless. I recently interviewed for a Management position with Firestone. I would first like to thank the company for the opportunity to interview for the position. I made sure to wait to post this to make sure that I was definitely not in the running for this position. I am sure there are other more qualified candidates for the position than myself and I can accept that. However, this letter if to address my concern about how the was conducted. My first interview with the company was on December 6th of this past year with a gentleman named TJ (I forget the last name). We discussed my qualifications and it was enough to garner me another interview. As he asked I visited a location near where I live in Rochester, NY (about an hour from the district headquarters). I discussed the job and its demands with the manager and still felt that I could do the tasks the position needed. Therefore when offered a second interview I accepted. I was also asked to take an on-line questionnaire (on a personal note, I think that these questionnaires do not do a person justice without the ability to explain some of the selections made.). I drove all the way back to the district office the next week to interview again with the regional manager J.R. Kitchel. Upon showing up I was not greeted with any more gusto than sheer disdain. The interviewers (there was another man named Mike there as well) were completely unprepared for the interview. I am accustomed to an interviewer needing to do minor refreshing of my resume during the interview, not take minutes to stare at the one page not saying anything. After finally finishing my resume he began grilling me on about why I chose my field of study in college for which I have a Bachelors and Masters degree. I explained that it was something that interested me, but as I was unable to find work in that field I took to management, which I have been quite successful with in my current job. He kept asking why I decided on that field, not really accepting any answer I gave. Honestly it's paramount to asking why a mechanic decided to choose that job, or why someone wanted to be a musician or anything else for that matter. He then proceeded to tell me that"Teachers don't generally work out in this company," though he slightly retracted the statement by saying that my choice of degree didn't necessarily disqualify me. Though that does sound to me like discrimination. After this he asked me how much a store manager makes at my current company. I told him what they make, which caused him to raise an eyebrow. He then asked me what one of his store managers make. I guessed $50,000 to which he hiked a thumb up in the air, "No, higher". SO I guessed $75,000, to which he did the same. So I guessed $100,000, he could have saved a lot of time and making himself look overly arrogant by saying $85,000. He then tasked why I thought there was such a disparity in salary. I replied that the overhead for my place of business is different. I work in rentals, where we have to clean and repair the rental items. No one rents a muffler or exhaust manifold from Firestone. Not only do they charge for the part, but a premium for putting them on or in a car, something no rental company can do. So yeah that would be why there is the difference. Not according to him though, he told me that wasn't the case and proceeded to put his hands far apart saying, "The skill set for your job is like this" he then made a small circle with one hand, "This is the skill set for one of my managers." Evidently according to this man, any idiot can do my job, which he has never even seen and knows nothing about it. I defy him to go to one of my companies locations on May 16th, and tell me any employee, part time or not is not as qualified as one of his managers. It is disconcerting that a person with this demeanor is in charge of a district, because if he is in charge like minded people will work under him. I have been part of bad interviews before, and I have been part of why they were bad, but this is on another level. Even if I had been offered the job I would have turned it down because I know I would be looked down upon by your company. I can honestly say I will warn people about your company and tell people not to be your customers because if you have people in charge that are like that employees will follow suit and they might just treat customers poorly because of perceived issues they might have with them.
