The new teacher is everything you could hope for kind, patient, understanding, and actually cares about helping you succeed. That class makes you excited about the beauty industry and gives you hope for a future in it. Then comes 2nd year (senior year) and that's where everything falls apart. The teacher, Ms. Reid, is without a doubt the most toxic, rude, and unprofessional teacher I've ever had. She will make you question your career path, your self-worth, and your decision to even walk into that building. I'm not being dramatic I'm speaking from experience, and so are many other girls who went through it. She constantly has an attitude for no reason, treats students like they're beneath her, and acts like answering a simple question is a personal insult. She refuses to repeat herself, even if you're genuinely trying to learn. She makes everything a problem like she's searching for reasons to tear you down or embarrass you. And the way she criticizes students is disgusting. Instead of helping or correcting your work respectfully, she'll make the most disrespectful, nasty faces in front of everyone even when you've put time and effort into a hairstyle. She'll roll her eyes, sigh loudly, or just tell you to "start over" with zero explanation or support. It's not just unhelpful it's humiliating. She does this often, and not just to one or two students to many of us. She's cold, bitter, and completely unfit to be teaching a class where professionalism is supposed to be taught. It's incredibly ironic that we're being told to act professional, while our teacher is the exact opposite rude, miserable, invasive, and emotionally damaging. This class started with 40 students 20 in the morning, 20 in the afternoon. Less than halfway through the year, we had only 6 girls left in the morning and maybe 6 or 7 in the afternoon. People were dropping like flies, and not because they didn't love cosmetology they just couldn't deal with her. That should tell you everything you need to know. Even worse, if you go to the administration to complain, they do nothing but say students are dropping the class "due to failing classes at their highschool". They defend her no matter what, and no matter how many complaints she gets. It's like she's protected and untouchable, even when she's clearly the reason the class is falling apart. On top of all that only about TWO people a year get their license from this program. That says a lot. How can a cosmetology class fail this many students every single year and nothing be done about it? Ms. Reid takes her own personal misery out on her students. She doesn't inspire, she doesn't teach, and she definitely doesn't care. She kills motivation, drains passion, and ruins the experience for people who once truly loved the idea of becoming cosmetologists. Other teachers in the building and other schools don't even respect how she teaches they see it too. She doesn't belong in this role. So please, if you're considering taking cosmetology at the Career Center in high school don't. Save your money, your time, and your mental health. Take it after high school in a place that will actually support you and help you grow. This class is a disaster because of one person and her name is Ms. Reid.

Not only do they teach valuable trade skills, but I have also seen them provide job placement assistance after graduation. Without a doubt, it is the greatest trade school in Charlotte, North Carolina.

They then took those chunks and organized them in a way that it all makes sense in my head whereas before I could understand any individual concept but felt like I was swimming in a sea of concepts that didn't add up to anything. Also, my instructor John was super nice, well spoken, easy to understand and seemed to genuinely care that all of us learned the content. He's someone I hope to keep in touch with longer term.

Doctors notes are approved based on what they feel like. Was made to sign into their updated program claiming I didn't have a choice and was extended another 3 weeks. My son and I looked around and I found glasses I needed for a dollar a piece. I was exited because this was something I needed and would save me a lot of money. The employee who checked us out was super nice. He gave us mor einfo about the store and gave my son a free item because he was wearing a Star wars shirt. There's been a lot of talk about Trosa Thrift store around town lately. I've seen it all over…read moresocial media so a friend and I decided to check it out on a Friday afternoon. Trosa is located on Peters Creek Hwy in the Food Lion strip center at the Clemmonsville exit. It's easy to get to and there's plenty of parking which I love. Right inside the door is their whole furniture section, they have tons of tables, chairs, dressers , etc. they even have a whole section of office specific furniture. The prices are very reasonable. This would be a furniture flippers paradise. Towards the back they have shelves of everything from pillows to whole sets of dishes, sports equipment and the most medical mobility equipment I've ever seen anywhere. I'd say, if you are in need of a walker, a bath seat or portable toilet for someone look here because they probably have it at a fraction of the cost it would be to purchase new or rent. The clothing is grouped all together but they aren't keeping it organized as well as it needs to be. All different sizes were mixed in together and I quickly got frustrated and gave up. Both of us had found an item in the kitchen area we wanted so we headed to check out. The workers were very friendly as well. I'll definitely be checking out Trosa regularly in the future. Trosa supports substance abuse treatment. If you want to donate to them, they offer pick up for larger items or you can bring your items to their donation drop off around the back of the store. Just follow the signs.
