I've been to a couple of Goodwills at this point, and this one was pretty average. It is a big store, but I've seen bigger in San Antonio. Also, the racks were not as organized or color-coded as the ones I've seen before. Went there today and was surprised/disappointed by the prices on most of the stuff. Was encouraged to buy a lego table for 400$, I'm not sure what is going through the mind of whoever is making up prices but Goodwill is suppose to be a charity for low income people. In the end I chose to pay my rent instead. There was a lamp of a house which was marked at 50$ and black wine glasses also marked at 50$ each! Insanity. I am really disappointed with Goodwill as a whole. I understand inflation but the prices at this place now compared to just ten or fifteen years ago are RIDICULOUS keeping in mind everything they sell there is donated. Also what is with the smell of the clothes that come from goodwill it's HORRIBLE. It takes a month of hanging on a clothesline to get rid of it! read more

This is one of the larger Goodwill stores in SE Houston. Supposedly it's got their better merchandise, but I didn't see the difference. It's mostly clothes. Rather than arrange the clothes by size, they have them arranged chromatically. All the red T-shirts, then the oranges, then the yellows - very pretty, even if it makes finding your size a little difficult. It's a Goodwill, so things are cheap. I got 3 T-Shirts. Everything seemed to be in good condition, but the clothes had a funky smell and needed a wash with a bit of bleach when I got home. read more

This location doesn't have anything good! The staff is blah, don't say hello, just stare at you. No good deals, for it to be used and worn it's still pricey like WTF is really going on?! Pictures in the back look like they came from your neighborhood dumpster store..meaning that's the trash house! Quality doesn't reside here..it looks like she has packed up and left for good. I have an issue with one of the employees. My mom, myself, and my son went there tonight. Arrived at 8:06pm and shopped until 5mins before closing. ALL that time we were followed my a male, mid 40s, gray shirt with UT colors, light jeans, and tennis shoes. He would get close and then look in another aisle. Yes, he could've been shopping, but he was near us the WHOLE time. Even when I went to try some shirts on he was around my mom and son. Picking random pieces up and placing them down. Went to look at the furniture while my mom and son were sitting by it. Just for clarification on he was following us, I went up to the infant/toddlers section and sure enough he was down the same aisle "looking" at stuffed animals on the top part of the racks. We went to go check out and he got right behind my mom to look at the items in the checkout windows. I kept my eyes locked on him the entire time and then he exited without buying anything. My stomach is still churning and still uneasy. Here's where my issue is with User: AC521.... My mom told the cashier (gray hair, shoulder length, with glasses) about that man following us and that we were feeling uneasy and she SCOFFED/CHUCKLED at us. Then said something about locking the back door and never acknowledged what my mom said. I know it's not their responsibility to protect us, but at least say "well maybe one of us can walk with y'all since we're closing" or something instead of COMPLETELY dismissing us and our concerns. I'm not even mad, more disappointed in the way our concerns were handled. read more

This store is severely over priced. The managers are not following the Goodwill pricing list. Rude and disregarding when asked reason that they are not following the price list. Juanita the Area Manager said "because it is what "I" priced them". Just want to add the Goodwill is a two way street. Taking advantage of customers is not Goodwill!!!! Great place to shop for costume attire. It's interesting because goodwill's always change what they have and different locations seem to be better for different types of items. This one has tons of clothing and a wide selection of VHS tapes, but lacks in other categories. read more

I have donated and shopped here many times. I have always been treated so nicely my the staff. I think the prices are extremely reasonable and have had some great finds. Only down side is they have so much, the racks are pretty packed. Just give yourself plenty of time to browse. read more

This location has a huge selection on clothing for all ages. It has lots of bags and luggages a whole back row. The books are located farther towards the front near the registers along with the silverware. Towards the back of the store it has a great gigantic standing tall Christmas tree and a few Christmas ornaments, furniture, houseware, kitchen appliances, golf clubs, and etc. You can find this place on the side of the Gulf freeway, in a strip center along with King Bingo, Roberts carpet, and Kick Ash vape shop. It's the one towards the end. It's a store and donation center, this location is packed to the brim with donations. Unfortunately, if you looking for car parts or accessories such as in an oil wrench. You'll have to look elsewhere. I didn't see any car related items in here. read more

Awful, awful, people. My mum and I went to donate a bag of items and while there, another lady was unloading boxes of heavy antiques, vases, plates, etc. I went in to ask if anyone could come out and help her and I was met with an abrupt, "we're no contact, you shouldn't be in here, you need to leave." As my mum and I helped her unload, the lady offered us anything we wanted from the boxes that we wanted. We unloaded the rest and grabbed 2 vases. Next thing you know a horde of 5 workers come out and start yelling at us, yes, yelling, that we cannot touch any of the items and that once they were put down outside she no longer had claim to any of it. Then they proceeded to yell at us that they have our number plate and faces on camera. They had no interest in helping this old lady unload heavy boxes but are more than happy to yell at her and us that her stuff no longer belongs to her. This is absolutely disgusting behaviour, treating the people who are donating items and showing kindness like criminals. read more

I consistently try and give this Goodwill a "second chance" even though I've been there 5 or 6 times. I don't go there for clothes so I don't know about their selection as far as that goes. I go for home goods, books, etc. I notice whatever colored tag is on sale that week, I can never find anything with that colored tag. It's fairly disappointing especially when I find something I would like to purchase and it's severely overpriced. These things are donated...and a lot of times very, very visibly used. I've seen items still with retail tags and their sticker is asking for more than retail. Pretty ridiculous, really. read more

Nah, too pricey, the clothes are not fantastic, the junk is not fabulous - I use to go there often - now hardly ever. Even the cheap kids toys are not worth the money. For example, went in with kids 'treasure hunting'. Got stacking cups for the little one for think 3.99, when got home discovered one cup was missing, not a huge deal, but annoying as they are no longer stackable. The toy was all taped up so I could not take all of them out and check, now just looked up the price at ToysRUs, they are 5.99 retail - so goodwill what is the point??
