This place normally In years of thrifting here I've had to problems always met very Kind and Considerate employees! Today is Sat and there's heavy traffic lines are long but as the cashier became available she decided to help a woman behind at the glass counter? Instead of me? Really very inconsiderate and totally Unkind to just presume I had all day till that woman shopped and looked ? I asked for Mgr and by that time she came back . Fatima! 3/08/25 4:46pm. This is a disgrace for a business! A scam!!! For someone to turn down donations in a bag because they had been set on the ground!! ARE YOU KIDDDING ME! so I could close the back of my car! I put it on everything I love that I freakin hate this store! But my mama loves to pretend shop here, and by pretend I mean she hardly finds anything but she is always going to stop to look for that diamond in the rough. The only thing I buy here really are books, I love finding a good hardback to a soft cover book I've previously bought or just a book that I meant to buy but never did. You can always catch a good Harry Potter hardback or Twilight; just basically some good named titles that people half read and donated. And they are fraction of the price as new, literally $3 or less. Can't beat it... I hardly donate because again I hate Goodwill and think they are choosy and overcharge for items. If it's not worth a certain value, it never hits the floor. idk what they do with it but that's kinda messed up..why accept it? I hardly buy anything else, a sturdy piece of cookware one time. The furniture...you might find a good piece every OTHER blue moon but it's mainly old and out dated. But books, especially good books NEVER get old! read more

I will say it is an ok store in terms of product collection. I can find something I like but I felt the manager wasn't friendly. I asked cashier about some baby items' prices prior check out because I wasn't sure how much it will be after discount. The store manager was standing next to cashier, and she just kept asking that cashier in front of me " will she take them?" "Will she take them?" Hello!? I'm standing right here in front of you. I didn't get the prices yet. Answer my questions, let me know the prices first and I can decide if I can take them or not. No eye contact, not answering customer's questions. Rude! read more

First time to his Goodwill location! Must say its a nice one! Employees are very nice and place is big! You are sure to find something! I lucked out and found an amazing Billy Joel CD "Opus Collection" for 1.99; I purchased some cargo work pants for hubby but not sure if the will fit! But found some Columbia and other great brands, $6.99; The return policy on clothes is 7Days! dont remove the tags and they wont give you your money/cash but a store Credit! If they dont fit which Is a shame because they are really nice, I will find something for myself! Lots of Treasures here! Great People too! read more

I'm going to say they're super friendly, and I've found so funky, fun stuff here. It's also pretty steady and the staff is really helpful. Some disadvantages would be the long lines. There only seems to be one cashier most of the time. I've also noticed Goodwill labels all of the products with a huge permanent marker. I'm not sure why, but they do. That being said this is the only location I've noticed that does it, but the staff is writing them all over the metal, straps, and decorative areas of the purses they're selling. I found four purses I absolutely loved, in great condition, but unfortunately there was permanent marker all over the outside of the bag. Why do I want a 30 dollar bag with black marker?? It's a waste it could be sold, and reused, but instead it will most likely get tossed. A few items I've purchased had tears, and rips, but for the most part there was some good things to take home. I will say the selection here is more country. Due to being in the Tomball area there was more cowboy attire, hunting clothes, and boots. Then there was the extreme of vintage clothing from older people from the 80's and 90's. read more

This location management has gone down hill. Prices up, quality down. Making up prices as they go. Opening late. Stained, ripped, falling apart items. $19.99 boots that are falling apart fake leather? Although I feel bad for them with the low pay and the rich get richer. This weekend we went and they opened 15 minutes late. People outside. Disappointed, this used to be a great place to shop and treasure hunt with reasonable prices. Let's just boutique price everything, "this is supposed to be boutique. I'll give it to you for $20". Then $30 for a fake coach. Come on now. read more

I have shopped at this store since it opened for years and many Goodwills all over Houston on a weekly basis it has saved me so much money as a single mom of 4. Tonight I was really disappointed in the rude behavior of the closing manager. The usual delightful, helpful and bright demeanor of the store and its employees was anything but that because of her. I got there 40 minutes before it closed and grabbed about 5 pairs of sneakers etc to try on. I always sit on a couch in the back to try on shoes. I knew by their 10 min announcement that they were close to closing ( and a sweet employee and finally a familiar friendly face told me they would be closing in 30 minutes before this anyways, so I was prepared). As the manager ( I knew she was by later asking an employee so I could complain to a district manager, I couldn't believe she was the manager ) walked from the back and saw me. She yelled across the store to make yet another closing announcement over the intercom. She mumbled to herself, then got on the intercom and said " 8 minutes to closing, bring your things up to the front, we LOCK THE DOORS!" Now, I have over 25 years of retail experience, I know whats it like to have stragglers still shopping late. The manger then walks past me a few minutes later and says "we have ONE OVER HERE! ", very rudely, mind you Im 20 feet from the register making my way there. I say out loud ( with 3 customers left in the store and its not even 8:00 yet. ) "You know what, as Im walking up to register Im putting the things I don't want away in the spots I got them so Y'All don't have too." I had put all the pairs of shoes neatly away and the clothes. I took my hangers off my clothes at the register and took my cart where it goes by the front door, less work for them. Shame on her! I know its been a long day for them, its been a long damn day for me and others too for crying out loud. She needs some training on customer service skills, and closing procedures period. Or you are going to loose a-lot of business she was completely unprofessional and had an awful attitude, so much so I almost left my cart full of items and walked out. But I finally had found a pair of scrubs for my job and some comfy shoes that are much needed and I have searched for weeks at all my Goodwills. Until she is gone I will not go back to this location and give my business. There are proper and professional ways to close a store this is NOT IT. Like the sweet girl who came up to me and in a friendly way forecasted that they would be closing in 30 minutes. I've seen her many times and has always been delightful, cheery and helpful, now she has it right and knows what she is doing. Ive never had a problem at any Goodwills until tonight. I suggest getting a new manger because she is setting an awful example to her employees and for your company. read more

I have found lots of deals here. Hawaiian shirts for my husband to wear on a cruise, Coldwater Creek and Talbot's clothing. The sales staff is really friendly. However!!! Today I went to donate which I do about 6 - 8 times a year. I always have a trunk load of stuff. The past year or so, the donation center workers do not come out to your car when they see you in the parking spot right in front of them, the spot that is specifically for donaters. I don't think they are told to keep an eye out for us. They can see us parking there - they are facing us and there are gigantic glass windows for them to see us. It used to be that I would pull up and a helper would come out immediately, without my having to go inside and ask them to help with our donations. And they would be really nice people, too. Today, I had a sullen, dangerous looking criminal type who, when I asked him, how are you today? he spat on the ground in front of me, and said "I'm alive.". He refused to be pleasant, and I'm a heck of a cheerful person! Finally, as I got my receipt, he forced a smile. I guess I wore him down! A downside to this location is that the parking in front of the store sucks. If you are donating or happen to get a spot in front of the store, everyone speeds by you and won't let you back up, even in you are inching back ever so slowly. I go to the Goodwill location off Grant/Louetta instead, at least I will be able to leave the parking lot. read more

If you've ever been skeptical about thrift stores, don't be. This goodwill has plenty of good deals on name brand clothing, accessories, etc. A special thank you to the store manager, Andrea, who absolutely rolled out the red carpet, and treated me better than any department store associate ever has or could. She gives me hope that good customer service is alive and well. With her help i was able to find a few outfits for work, and even some accessories. I only spent $27, but felt like a million after my experience. Will definitely be going back!!!! read more
