I saw The Northface, Fox, Hurley, Billabong, Silver, Sanuk and other recognizable, quality brands on my visit. Mixed in with these types of brands were lesser known, but still stylish pieces. I found a deal on a pair of fleece lined leggings too. While standing in line to purchase them, the women behind me said that she was buying her 4th pair of these leggings in a different color because they were the best leggings she's found at the lowest price. I'm wearing said leggings now and she has a point: these things are pretty comfortable, they seem well made, and the price was right. If I lived closer to Rockford, you would see me back in line here for another pair.

I fully expected to see a bustling boutique with an array of styles and sizes.....What a disappointment. It was dead. The styles were restrictive to 20 something or 40 something. I am neither. They had great clothing to be sure, and the quality was there...but there were only 3 sizes. Not everyone is a small medium or large I'm sorry to say. Try having a size for everyone....you might actually do more business....I have to say I wont be back.

There seemed to be a few system issues with LOFT - the return address for the pants was a strange location that the store couldn't contact easily. The 1-800 number for LOFT was not helpful at all, the system didn't seem to be integrated with the LOFT stores. I had moments of frustration, but it was totally redeemed by the effort that Crystal and Abby put in. It was their helpfulness that has made me stay a loyal LOFT customer.

I've never really seen the store in disarray except for in the fitting room area, which is sort of awkwardly located in the middle of the store so there's not much space to wait in line. The employees working there have always been polite, and the long lines move quickly. I get a little annoyed with the constant badgering of "are you sure you don't want to sign up for emails / Old Navy credit card / etc." whenever I check out, but I know that's just part of working in retail. I saw racks of bathing suits, tons of clothes, shoes, bags, kitchenware, household goods, etc. I didn't realize that you can get brand new items at this Goodwill (or maybe all Goodwill stores?) so we ended up buying a set of brand new shower curtain hooks, a reusable ice pack for a cooler, and a hanging rack for our entryway - all things we actually needed, and we only spent about $8 total. They have 4 locations: Grand Rapids, Rockford, Grand Haven, and Kalamazoo. Their website has inventory from all locations. Various events are held at each location as well. Kalamazoo is the newest, but it looked like they had a huge sidewalk sale this year. Grand Rapids hosts a great fashion show every [normal] year with other partnering local businesses and restaurants, drink tickets, a live DJ, and tons of great raffle prizes. I've also attended smaller versions of the fashion show at the Grand Haven and Rockford locations and they are so much fun! With the shut downs this year and social distancing in play they've adapted the sales and fashion shows to virtual events, which have still been surprisingly fun! They are interactive, have swag bags if you reach a certain $ order amount, and they still do giveaways by asking fun and simple questions. I think there have been 4 this year; the sale on the most recent one was insane!! At first glance the prices might seem high. That's partly due to the quality of the brands they carry. But they also run sales along with the fashion shows and occasionally throughout the year. Rewards can be earned on your account when you spend a certain amount, plus birthday discounts. I honestly feel like I could wear (and would want to wear) just about anything in the shop. They have everything from the super trendy styles to a more classic piece, all very tasteful. In addition to clothing, they offer accessories, bags, candles, shoes, and water bottles. Their price point varies so i feel there are options for everyone; some very affordable pieces to more high end. The girls that work here are super friendly and helpful, without being pushy. The store is clean and super cozy. They do not accept returns, just in-store credit or exchanges. They have a website, also! Can't say enough good things about this place!
