My next door neighbor alerted to me this place and I'm so glad. I picked up four dining chairs (sometimes they are priced as a package deal with a table, but these were actually priced individually and separate from the table). I thought about getting some sort of lounge or easy chair to read in but I haven't converted to Maine vehicle yet, so my Mazda wouldn't fit it. Next time! A gorgeous coffee table also caught my eye, so that item was also purchased. I had to make two trips, but hey-ho. I think prices are great. Obviously, you're getting used items but isn't there something really charming about having furniture that has been lovingly used? (As long as it doesn't smell like a dirty fart) You could go the route of IKEA and I have totally done so on occasion, but let's admit it, most of that crap is crap. Old used furniture was made with love. I can imagine that prices may have climbed in the past few years, though I only have Chicago Salvation Armies to compare it to, and I think the prices are still better here than Chicago five years ago. Stuff probably comes and goes fairly regularly so don't feel defeated on an initial visit. I will definitely venture back here.

good will goods, by the pound! if you're willing to spend some time here, there's really good…read morestuff to be had on the *super* cheap. basically, everything is in these shallow bins that are raised up off the floor. and you root around in the bins to see what treasures you can find! the goods are roughly categorized (most shoes in one place, etc). the website shows the pricing breakdown... clothes are around $1.50/lb, some stuff is individually priced (cooking pans, 25 cents!). as the bins get emptied out, employees will come along, tell everyone to move back, remove some bins, replace them, and then everyone really goes to it! good fun. and a good deal. just plan to spend some time searching for what's good, rather than looking for a specific item. it's not that kinda good will. sometimes there's certain stuff, like furniture (recently, each piece was a Dollar. that's right, $1), then sometimes there's not. fyi, they actually *weigh* your entire cart, then deduct the weight of the cart. i was impressed, i hope you will be, too.

I went with the intent of just browsing but left with several new pairs of workout leggings and a dress for that evening. The dress (pictured) cost only $4.50!!! What!! The staff were very helpful and they seemed to have plenty of hands on deck for the sale. People manning the changing area and working the registers kept the flow of patrons moving. The rows between the racks were a bit narrow but people were generally accommodating and made room for each other. With some time and patience, you can score some bargains here. Lots of brand names. They had your usual vintage clothes and shoes but they also had everything from MTV Raps cards to every little accessory you could think of. And then the second room... not only do they have 3 dressing rooms but HELLO NOSTALGIA. I was given incorrect information by staff and was told to keep my receipt if the items did not fit my window. They didn't fit, so I returned to the store--only to be told by the manager that there was nothing she could do. Instead of taking responsibility or trying to help, I was treated disrespectfully. This store came highly recommended to me, but after this experience, I will never return and cannot recommend this establishment to anyone.
