We have dropped donation items off at this location several times in the past few years and…read moreappreciate how easy it is, as well as the mission of this business. There are several locations, and this one is located in the Hamburg area near Tractor Supply as a landmark. The drop off is on the right hand side of the building and can pull up and employees will collect the donated goods. They have signage directing where to enter the single drop off lane. There are also posted signs listing what can and cannot be donated. Staff are polite and helpful. I have not been inside the building or made a purchase to this point, so I cannot comment on that aspect of this business. I do know that the mission statement has been to sell donated items and then to utilize those funds to assist victims of abuse, which has our support 100%. (Side note: I also choose to donate here rather than at another specific well known charitable drop-off site which has high prices and high administrative costs, resulting in less funds going to the people it claims to serve.)

I didn't catch the cat's name when I was there, but Vintage Shop Kitty is super friendly and seemed to be receptive to pets. Besides cats, this place also has some really cool clothes -- all of them old, and all of them carefully curated and thoughtfully chosen. I can tell when a vintage clothing store has done its due diligence when I flip through the racks and I want to buy more than a few things. I was THIS close to buying a Western pearl snap shirt, but really: how many pearl snap shirts does a girl need? Regretfully, I put the shirt back on the rack. Hopefully, some other savvy person snapped it up. The Odd Shop has a lot of clothing, but it has just as much vintage toys, records, ephemera and trinkets for sale. Walking into the store is like walking into your (or probably my) childhood, because there are so many things from the 1980s and 90s for sale. So many Smurfs dolls! Mickey Mouse roller skates! They have a superb selection of the things from books to music on several formats, more books, pins, magnets, stickers, and ephemera. I love ephemera. I really love the chance to buy something that wasn't mass produced or to give something a new life. It kills me that you can buy similar shirts at the big box store and have no idea what it's about which tells me I'm old. Also the lighting in there is not oppressive.
