This is one of the nicer Goodwill stores I've been to recently. They had a large selection, it was pretty clean in there, and the staff I spoke to were friendly. I found some fun and interesting items as I looked around, and had I spent more time browsing (maybe without a mini BFF by my side), I'm sure I could've found more. I didn't get a good look at the women's clothing but saw some great dresses at a glance! I'd come back to this location! read more

Maybe a 3.5 as there is a good supply of well displayed used clothing in good condition at very good prices. Non clothing area is much smaller with nothing that jumped out to us. We did purchase a couple of picture frames from a pretty good supply. The killer for me was the filthy public restrooms. They looked like they had been ignored for a long time with dust caked on cleaning utensils. Dirty floors, sink, and trash lying about. Nuff said. read more

I made a quick stop at this Goodwill store in search of a green men's vest. I did not find what I was looking for but they still had some cute items. I searched through the women's clothing and men's clothing and also took a look at their shoe selection. I did not get help from any of the employees in the store as they seemed pretty scarce on this day but I really didn't need any help either. I ended up purchasing a couple of shirts. I will likely stop again when I get up that way and see what new items they have added. read more

I love coming to Goodwill stores with my kids to look through the book section. This one had a decently sized section, with some organization. We were able to come away with a nice stack of books at a good price! Checkout went quickly. In general, we got what we came for! read more

By now, it's really no secret that I have a mixed relationship with the Goodwill retail outlets. As a working adult with a disability, I greatly admire the Goodwill mission and appreciate that most of the time when you enter a Goodwill Store you're going to see people with disabilities working. However, I also can't deny that I'm frequently troubled by the Goodwill retail experience. If you're training people to enter the workforce, then it seems a reasonable expectation that you train them to do the job well and professionally and in a friendly manner. Otherwise, you're simply setting them up to fail and/or ensuring they'll always be stuck in low-end paying jobs. Quite reasonably, most people with disabilities are not going to give up the security of life on disability for a low-wage paying job. To be fair, across the organization, things have improved. Kiosks set-up for applicants have become more accessible (though far from perfectly accessible) and interior lay-outs have become increasingly accessible. Employees are, in fact, becoming more friendly. It's also potentially unfair to judge a Goodwill on the basis of its busiest day of the month - the monthly 50% Saturday that arrives on the first Saturday of the month. It's chaos. As you pull up to this location in Fishers, you immediately notice their rather large parking lot. In fact, my immediate thought was that the place seemed surprisingly not that busy. The more I looked, however, the more I realized the parking lot is simply rather huge. They were quite busy. This Goodwill features some of the basics that are common at most locations - accessible parking is fairly plentiful, curb cuts are ADA compliant, and they do have automatic doors (which is not true of all locations, but seems to be standard with each new location opened). The store was crowded, but I also noticed the clientele seemed friendlier here. While there was chaos, it seemed more controlled than many locations during this monthly sale. I am still getting used to mobility after my recent limb loss - so, I'm a little more bumpy than usual and people were mostly cool with my near misses and generally bad wheeling. The store layout is fairly similar to most - books to the right as you enter followed by rows of clothing and most housewares, etc. toward the back. They have dressing rooms, including an accessible one. The lines were fairly long, though they went fairly smoothly. I found it weird that they seemed to have 2 different lines with no clear division at the registers. In my neighborhood, that would cause fights. In this neighborhood, people seemed fairly courteous. Employees were friendly if not particularly outgoing. I did like the fact that in my line the cashier was obviously training someone and was doing so quite nicely with solid instructions. I was able to find clothing in my sizes, sometimes difficult, as I'm a bulky guy with a curved spine who sits in a wheelchair. At some locations, it almost feels like they put away the nice stuff on this particular day but I didn't get that sense here. Overall, I would consider to experience to be "just fine." This was neither the best Goodwill in Central Indiana nor anywhere near the worst. I'd easily return when in the area. However, it was plagued by the usual Goodwill issues - poorly labeled clothing (EXAMPLE - one shirt I picked up was labeled as a XXL, yet the label on the item clearly said 16 1/2 which is not even an XL). The employees seemed to all be working, though I also seem to always have issues with oblivious employees - employees who block aisles because they have work to do and can't be bothered to move for actual paying customers. However, for the most part this was a solid experience - I was in/out with my friend in a surprisingly short amount of time for this particular day and was able to get on my way to our next stop. PS: I just have to get this off my chest. Nearly every Goodwill posts large photos on their walls of individuals I'm assuming are either employees (past or present) or people who've gone through their programs - I understand this concept, but have to admit that some of these photos just strike me as incredibly disrespectful. They're just not well done photos. Can't you find a photographer who will donate some time to create some quality photos? If these people are working hard to enter the workforce, they deserve to be treated with dignity and respect. Okay, I'm off my soapbox now. read more

Goodwill has raised their prices again! I went to our local Goodwill in Fishers, Indiana and I was shocked at the prices of the donated shoes. I found a new pair of Tom's and the price was $15.99. Considering women's shoes two years ago were $5.99. I then found a used pair of tennis fashion shoes from Target and the price for those were $9.99. I go to Goodwill hoping to save money with my disability income. But I might save money by buying on marketplace or a local on line buy nothing group. Love me some goodwill!! Some locations better than others, but always find good finds!

I love going thrifting and this store has always been tried and true! The staff are friendly and the environment is fun!

Awful staff. Management stood and talked to a female employee while 1 checkout lane had 7 people in line. First time I've ever encountered a "snooty" goodwill staff. Awful items. Especially love the priority mail boxes for sale there.. (???) They are also pricing items at retail value. Donated items. Worst experience at a goodwill store, period. Avoid. read more

Goodwill. Good cause. Who could argue that? Let me preface by saying that my rating may not jive with my review, but I find myself torn. I'm a total fan of Goodwill as an organization. Providing people jobs, providing people affordable clothing options, helping reduce landfill waste, promoting a sense of giving in a community....I love all of that. I'm an advocate of reducing, reusing and recycling and this one organization provides these options. In fact at least once a month we purge our home and donate items that we are either not using or would like to change. After driving around to make our donation, we inevitably find ourselves parking and browsing inside to find replacements for the purged items......it really is a vicious cycle! I'm confident that I've never walked out of a Goodwill without some sort of purchase. I've found everything there from a business suit (tags still on) to Halloween costumes for my whole family (dogs included)....but more and more frequently I've noticed a disturbing trend......maybe it is related to the state of "the economy" or maybe my frugality has gotten the best of me, but the prices at Goodwill have risen to an uncomfortable level for me. Now I am self-admittedly a "conservative spender". I work hard for my pittance and I'm always on the lookout for the best value, which I have found time and time again at various Goodwill Stores. However, lately I'm noticing a bigger and bigger hit to my wallet when I stop by to peruse. I'm no snob to second hand belongings......there's a lot that can be salvaged with some antibacterial gel and a coat of paint.....but if I'm going to buy something used I want the price to match. On my last half dozen trips to Goodwill I've noticed prices on some items....typically in the furniture section....that are higher than those same items new at the retailer they originated from!!! I'm not sure if the people in charge of pricing are in need of a little researching or if its just a standard corporate procedure.......but somethings gotta give here. Maybe I should just shut it and rest easy with the knowledge that overall, the averages of my purchases probably come out in my favor and add up to decent savings......but the savvy shopper in me can't let it go unnoticed. read more

My mother in law donated a large amount of our household items to this Goodwill. She specifically instructed them to not remove a box of cable boxes and they did. Now, they are saying the best they can do is send an email. My advice, don't donate to this location. Or shop there, there's a chance you're purchasing stolen items. read more
