Out here acting like it's a premium antique store in the richest of neighborhoods instead of the THRIFT store that it's supposed to be. $150 for some glass coasters. $250 for an old stove. $500 for a Barbie house!?! These are all USED items that are GIVEN to you, a THRIFT store for FREE! And I understand there are operating costs of running the stores, but there's also a line that you're clearly way too comfortable crossing when it comes to the prices you put in front of every day thrift shoppers. During my visit I heard literally five customers make a remark about the insane prices you're slapping people in the face with. Read the damn room! Send this on up to your corporate masters if you truly don't have any control over your businesses pricing strategy because whether it's you or some higher managment forcing this twisted policy on the public, there's at least one ABSOLUTE PSYCHOPATH working for the Salvation Army and y'all need to know how it's making you look to the people you're supposedly in business to "help".

They used to have a nice jewelry selection at the counter (which is sadly no longer there). However since I moved to the suburbs a decade ago I rarely get to this location, but when I'm in the area like to stop in. I popped in earlier this week after a long hiatus. I'm on a mission to find white skinny jeans and a decent bathing suit cover up. I've been searching for weeks. Unfortunately I didn't find what I was seeking but still enjoyed cruising the isles. Some things I've noticed from that visit: Although clothing appears to be separated by sizes (s/m/l/xl) they're really not. I'm not talking a few pieces out of place I'm talking like every piece is a different size. I've found kid sizes in with adult ladies. Smalls in the large section and visa versa. Ignore the organization and look thru everything piece by piece for best results. Aside from organization the sorting process isn't the best. While the majority of the items were in great shape I found several with obvious tears or stains that should have never made it to the sales floor. Worse yet they were very obviously and not in places that would be overlooked, so check all your buttons, under the arms for tears, and make sure zippers work because returns are not accepted. Linens and children's selections are rather skimpy - compared to other Goodwill's in the area. This location also had jeans thrown in with curtains which is clearly an oversight on their end. Ladies wear was plentiful with the best selection of inventory being ladies skirts, bathing suits (an entire isle!) and shirts. They don't have a designated shoe section, shoes are on top of the clothing racks so make sure you look thru the entire store. They had an abundance of Halloween décor and such out even though it's only July. The housewares are thrown together and sorted by color, but plentiful although you may need to dig a little. The dressing rooms are on both sides of the store and very spacious compared to others. 15 minute parking spots out front, and overall this store wasn't as crowded as others. Inventory is overflowing and new racks to be placed on the proper racks can't because of lack of space so those racks sit out, unorganized. Be sure to check them out as they're the most recent pieces to hit the sales floor. It does make for cramped isles however. Not perfect, but worth checking out if you're in the area anyway.

The pantry directly serves individuals on a daily basis by providing food that is donated by a variety of community partnerships. Individuals and families can receive food commodities by visiting the Help Center, Monday-Friday between the hours of 9am-12pm and 1-3:30pm. Individuals and families may be eligible for emergency food designed to provide meals for 3-5 days through a referral made by the Department of Social Services. To receive a referral from the Department of Social Services, individuals should contact the Homeless Outreach and Services Intake Center at 443-986-3548. The Cecil County Help Center also serves as a hub for other food pantries and faith-based organizations that have the mission of meeting the needs of those facing food insecurity. The Help Center receives food from a variety of partners including the Maryland Food Bank. This food is then distributed to local pantries in various parts of the County to ensure that citizens have convenient access when a need arises.

You can get some great prices and depending what your needs are, it's probably worth a look. The staff and patrons are all very friendly. Ample parking in the shopping center's lot. While this thrift store feels more congested and less organized than others it does have method to the madness. Because I was in route to a memorial service I only had a few minutes to browse. They had all the departments; clothing, household, hardware, children, toys, shoes, linens, etc. Many items appeared vintage. There were also some smaller furniture pieces and jewelry at the counter. I was surprised that in addition to the main room there were too smaller rooms filled to the max. From the outside the place doesn't look that large. I did feel the prices were a little high on some items. $1.50 - $2.50 for a yellowed vintage ladies hankie is a bit much to me. However I did find and buy a great pair of shoes that appeared new for $5 Because of the hours they keep (Mon- Fri 9-5, Sat 9-4) they probably won't be in my thrift store rotation too often but will stop if I find myself down that way at a time they're open.
