I have seen their prices and they are outrageous, and I had worked for them for quite a few years, as long as it was run by some guy called 'Bob', they were fairly decent to work with and work for, but all their talk of helping those with special needs is no more than a big lie, I have special needs myself, and two other guys I know of as well are also, the two other guys have 'mobility' problems, and found it hard to move around, yet Goodwill was going after their healthcare and benefits, so they would receive NO benefits on 'disability', and I was treated just as bad as everybody else, they didn't seem to care I had Asperger's, they treated me like trash just the same. I have also heard stories about bedbugs being on the clothing they sell, I only just RECENTLY got rid of my infestation, which I must have picked up while I was working there, it took me about half a year to get rid of the little pests, I can safely assume the rumors were true, bedbugs are one of the worst plagues known to humanity, any person who gets these things pretty much has to get rid of everything, move and start a new life all over again, all the while being separated from friends and family, total isolation, like with smallpox, tho smallpox would be more merciful for putting the afflicted person out of misery, rather than stringing a person along alive, but with no food, no job, no friends, no family, no outside contact whatsoever, so if there is only one reason I just mentioned NOT to shop at these people, it would be the bedbugs, also true of VInnie's and any other consignment / second hand shops, maybe Ebay or Amazon, would be a safer, better deal, Garage sales a VERY big 'if', but to pay top dollar JUST to get bedbugs in your home and ruin your life?! One may as well throw everything out right away and sell one's house and just become a drifter, be a lot quicker that way and at least it would be voluntary. read more

Zero stars if it were possible. Thursday night we went in to look for shoes after supper. They were supposed to be open til 8. We got there at 10 to. They informed us right off the bat they were closing early, even when I pointed out there was still 10 minutes. We didn't find shoes we could use, so we left. On the way out a young blonde snottily said "Awww....didn't find anything then?" That right there was enough for me to never shop at this location ever again. read more

Ridiculously High pricing at the Plover Goodwill. No one can afford to shop there. No common sense in pricing. I was up at the registers & I had 2 pairs of womens cordoroys One pair was Chaps (which is brand name from Kohls) with brand new tags on them for $11. 99. The other pair was Ralph Loren used for $29.99. I questioned at the register why the one was so much money? The clerk said " that is the way we price things here". She then called her manager & he said "I can't help you, there are no discounts today on that color (purple tag)". I did not buy the ones for $29.99. I told the manager I can buy a brand new pair for that money, which is true. Kohls has Chaps right now brand new for $32.00. So Goodwill just lost some money today because I would have bought the Ralph Loren pair today if it was a reasonable price. But I put them back. I won't be shopping there again. If I could rate a 0 I would. Goodwill is getting really GREEDY!' read more

Apparently having almost no kids clothes is standard, because I've come back several times, and there's nothing. And, the prices are about the same as other Goodwill stores--too expensive for thrift. The only thing I've gotten here that's been appropriately priced are the used picture frames. I prefer St. Vinnie's. read more

The Wisconsin Rapids Goodwill has some of the most unfriendly and down right rude staff. A few years ago the management was making check out clerks cry on a regular basis. Then a shake up occurred and many positions were replaced and/or relocated. Something is up with this newer group of the past 1-2 years. Overworked? Understaffed? Don't know if their lack of kindness is part of the trickled down effect or simply what happens to them after working there awhile. The friendliest ones always seems to leave. I wonder why? My advice to them is: It costs nothing to be kind -- give it a try, it just might make YOUR day :) read more

Prices are way to high! Yes you have some average priced clothing and you can stumble upon something that is fair priced but when it comes to anything name brand...they price gouge you! A nice name brand shirt will run you between $10.99-$14.99...these are donated clothing! Goodwill, you need to reconsider your pricing because I have spoke to many people who no longer shop with you at this store because of your pricing! You can take a tip from AZ stores...they run a deal on the last day of your weekly discount color that all items that color are $1. That would bring people in! read more
