I enjoy GW. I am a paper crafter. So, I go in for books to create with. GW never disappoints. I like this location because of the staff. They normally have two ladies my age'ish that are cashiers that are just lovely to talk too. This is one of the cleaner GW's in San Antonio. They also seem to train people here more than the other locations in town. This is my go to GW now that they closed the store near me. Darn you COVID. So, I trek 20 minutes to go to this one now. I am close to the Clearance Center. If you haven't been there...go! But, this location normally fills my needs for supplies. I do want to start buying clothing there. I'm so sick of shopping for clothes in general, but at least at GW, I'd save a lot of money. This location does seem to have more clothing than others in town. So, if thats what you're in search of, go for it. Currently, you do have to wear a mask. (Please cover your nose! It's become a pet peeve!)

Good deals Not my usual goodwill but was in the area , and as on the look out for a desk for my home . Went in and found exactly what I needed ( desk in photo) and only $20! Had a few starches but over all in great shape. Staff was super helpful and friendly. Just hope I can fit it in my suv when I go to pick it up

Great place to find who knows what. They always have something new so it's worth going if you like digging through the shelves.

I usually comb through the books after I eat at SouperSalads. I always find some good things. Customer service is always good.

This place is horrible. All they sell is junk you can find in the dumpster. I will never come back here. Very low quality products.

If you are looking to spay your cat or dog, definitely give Spay Neuter Network a call!…read more My family and I had been wanting to spay our dog for some time, but the cost of it was something that was definitely keep us from actually doing it. Our veterinarian had originally quote us almost $1,000 just for the spay, which seemed a little over the top for such a common procedure. I went online and found Spay Neuter Network which is a nonprofit that provides affordable spay/neuter services for dogs and cats. Making the appointment online was super easy and I originally only had to pay $20 to secure my dog's appointment. On the day of the appointment my husband dropped him off at 7am and by 3:00pm he was ready to go home. At the end, we did end up paying about $100 more for some additional vaccinations that our dog needed prior to the procedure. It's been a week since the surgery and my dog is feeling great and we haven't had any issues. I am so happy to have found Spay Neuter Network and will definitely recommend to all my friends and family!

Next time i know not to come here. if im paying over 100 dollars i rather go to a nice clinic not this one . front desk is rude as well and dont even try and call because they will leave u on hold for hrs .

What a stirring experience to walk through this historic site! I initially figured we'd be here for…read morea short visit but, between the church, the grounds, and the museum, we spent three hours here. You must get a free ticket to go inside the church (it prevents overcrowding), which is the structure you associate with the Alamo. We got ours off the Alamo website ahead of time. You can pay for a tour or audio devices or just walk around on your own for free. We did the latter and found that whenever we had questions there were plenty of docents who could happily provide detailed answers. There is also, for a fee, a museum on site with many artifacts from that time period. Many items were donated by avid Alamo collectors including musician Phil Collins and David Zucker (director of Airplane! and Naked Gun). A new museum is being constructed as of the date of this review. A gift shop is on site too as well as many statues throughout the grounds honoring those involved in the battle. This is a "must visit" for anyone who comes to San Antonio, even more so if you love history.

This place is hard to rate. They have a couple of outlets - one on S Probandt, and one on Walzam…read moreRd. Probandt is an old warehouse and the goods are presented in a commensurate fashion, making it kind of a dump to go to. BUT it is very large and they have a lot of items. The Walzam Rd location is smaller, more store-like and a lot cleaner. Selection is similar but my impression is of smaller quantities and more limited selection. They both carry a wide range of construction and household materials, whether reclaimed from remodels or demolitions, or closeouts, seconds and scratch-and-dent. They also have a lot of paints, much of which is "evolve", a brand that keeps excess project or returned paint from being senselessly dumped in landfills. Prices are better than the building materials stores, but you still need to know what a good price is, as some of the smaller household goods can be found for less elsewhere (mainly online). But bargains are to be found if you don't mind spending time browsing. I suggest coming prepared with a complete list of what you might need, so you come away with what you really want at a price that suits you. All of that said, remember that this is a thrift store for Habitat for Humanity, a very good organization that makes affordable housing available for low income people. So anything you buy supports a great cause. I would have rated this 3-stars, but the nature of what their main focus is caused me to make it 4-stars since the dollars you spend here contributes to helping people in need.
