Not many treasures in this store. Selection was poor for such a high traffic location.

Before walking in they take your temperature, the store had maybe 5 people shoping inside…read more Been here a few times always hoping to find something I can not live without. They had alot of furniture, the prices are higher than you would think, even with a half off sale it would still be high. They did have some different pieces if you needed beds there were a few to pick from. My husband asked about some lawn equipment they were selling. The employee wasn't sure if there was a guarantee, because you can not start anything to see. They say it works but you want to make sure. He came back and said there was no guarantee. That's crazy. So they didn't make a sale. They did have some good prices on books, I love cookbooks and always see if there is one I have to have. I found a bread book all different recipes, hard cover for just fifty cent and in great shape! My Mom found a few things she was happy with. Some items are way over priced and if you read other reviews we are not the only one who thought the same thing. Its one of those places you stop to see if there is anything you may need for building or remodling and they have some odds and end but no clothes here. ***Before buying any electronic or electrical items make sure they work.***

Overpriced. Overpriced. Overpriced…read more There are a lot of items still for sale that were there over a year ago when I first went in this place. When I stopped by today they had a used table from Ikea priced higher than it costs brand new. Who wants a dirty, scratched up table for above retail prices? I'm not sure sure who is in charge of pricing things here, but they should be fired immediately as they are clearly incompetent and not on top of things.

This used to be the best thrift store in Cabarrus County. Yes, used to be. It has gone downhill…read moreever since they reopened after C*vid. That's part of the problem too - all new staff due to firing the old staff during C*vid times...ones who had been there for years & were so sweet. The new manager is a guy who frequently complains openly about people shopping in the store, has literally complained about having to check my cart of stuff because I "got too much" and it'd take a while to scan it all in (I had maybe 6 books, a couple of shoes and some small nicknacks - it wasn't a lot). He's also changed sale hours - day of - closing early because he felt like it. He does not make people feel welcome to shop there - it's like we're bothering him to be in the store. Also, the pricing has gotten really bad - it's frequently at or above retail now, which is so sad since this stuff is always clearly used and *given/donated* to the store, but they grossly overprice it. Case in point: A used coffee grinder for $24.99 when it's new for $18.95 on Amazon or $19.98 at Walmart. The clothes have been really stained, hole-filled, torn and ripped lately. I really hate how bad the store is these days... I went in recently and they were selling a side table that was missing two legs, but still had it priced at $39.99. It just makes me so sad since this used to be my favorite thrift store in the area, and it's awful now.

I needed a space to work over the Christmas/New Year break and was surprised to see that a…read moreco-working space existed around downtown Gastonia. The parking was fine but maybe needed some clarity as there was a restaurant and post office adjacent to the lot. It's a gravel lot basically with no clear signage. Not a big issue but FYI. There's a handful of places to visit within walking distance for eating and shopping. Very small town feel. Inside the office, the receptionist welcomed me and was new but friendly and professional. She helped me get set up on the app (still a work in progress) and gave me a quick tour. The big main spaces were already reserved but the phone booth space was adequate to my needs. The internet speed was decent but there was no ethernet cable for direct connection. The common kitchen area was clean and beverages were available as well as small snacks. Terry, the director for the space, was very helpful in troubleshooting issues with billing and reservations. Pricing was also reasonable for a one-day pass. Military veteran pricing is available. If I came to the city more often, I'd get a subscription because it's very close and isn't overcrowded like some co-working spaces.
