The staff at this location seem to have grudges against people who use wheelchairs as transportation, my partners father was told to leave the store because "he was taking to long shopping for clothes" then proceeded walk outside and talk amongst each other in a snarky tone about my partner because she had asked about the return policy. My suggestion is, if you do not enjoy your job find somewhere else that will satisfy you. If not, suck it up and stop taking out your self hatred on customers. OMG.. Their prices are outrageous now whoa don't waste your time even if it's the color sticker of the week.Half price , it's still not even worth it... That's if you can find anything in the color of the week.Because I go in there every SUNDAY OR AND MONDAY when they change that color .Well, I used to .There's barely Anything available with that color TAG ... And when do you find something?It's usually like damaged or Should have been thrown in the trash.. I have been there on a saturday and seeing some stuff and then I thought , well , I'll just come back tomorrow or Monday when the color tag changes.. And they changed the price tag color sticker on that item.i've taken pictures..Then On wednesday which is senior day ..YOU HAVETO Tell the cashier that you were senior you don't automatically get it no matter how old you look.. Last time I went there, I told him twice in the very beginning when he started to up my order.And then in the enf...i even said Did I get my senior discount?? He said yes , I gave you the discount.. But Because there was a ruckus going on behind me between customers. I didn't check the receipt because I assumed he was smart enough to put it on there. when I got home looked at my receipt, he didn't give me my discount. I went back there the next morning and they said, nope too bad. You should have said something yesterday and Came back to the store immediately.. Well, they closed at 8 o'clock and my receipt, says 7:51. Which means it was well after 8 o'clock. By the time I got to my car and put everything in there, and I figured that the cashier, who is a paid employee, would have put it on there after I told him twice. So how could I have gotten back to the store before they close?.. Manager Told me the next day we can't do anything about it... You. Have to say something on the day of the transaction? Wow I tried to explain to her that you were closed. They don't care.... I'm only giving them a one star because They don't have nothing less than that. Also, They change the price tag, the cashiers right in front of you.If you've got something and if they think it's priced too low.. After looking at it like as if you changed the price tag or something , come on , you can't even get the price tags off at home , how you gonna get off in the f****** store.. They don't say anything all of a sudden. W They call somebody take it in the back and come out with a different price on it. That's like 3 times more than what you pay. What the original price was and don't say nothing to you. They just say, oh, hang on, we have to check on something we'll be right back. Then they bring the item back. Don't say nothing ring it up. No complaints, just the prices! They've really gone up the last few years. Everyone here is pretty friendly and helpful. There are so many good finds. You just have to take the time. Worst goodwill in the area. They tried to tell me they price individual lamps as sets of 2 meaning the lamp and the harp.

I like this store it really cleaned the staffs always very nice. The selection it great the value you get for the money it Amazing. There is a woman that works there she always very nice to me and makes my days each time I come there Mia she so friendly and great always helpful with selection of color what looks good on me I love coming here I come at least 3 or 4 days a week. Back with another review... just a few months after we tried donating a perfectly fine pre-lit Christmas tree, we tried donating a brand new baby gate. They told us they don't accept baby gates... even though we have seen them for sale in the store recently... You're a goodwill, the only reason you have a business at all is because of the donations! This is just ridiculous and makes me not want to donate here anymore. I think we'll take our business to the Happy Valley Goodwill, because they're clearly under much better management. I love this goodwill location. The employees are very nice and helpful. They have a great selection in things we like for crafts and board games. Goodwill industries should not discriminate homeless people. If a homeless people comes to the store they should give them clothes and shoes without charging them money. This is why people give donations of all kinds. I have heard of homeless people being escorted out of the store by staff. Shame on the staff. read more

I still give them stuff, I just don't want to give them my money. The line was long and it was a hot day but the line went fast. I was in and gone without a receipt within 10 minutes. I'm completely appalled with the treatment I got at this Goodwill. I shop here all the time as it's close to my home and I've never had anyone there be so awful to me. I found a backpack that has a $9.99 red sticker, so I took it up to the register and this lady with a puppy mask on (who I recognized and remembered as a no so friendly cashier). I was nice and friendly but I could tell she had an attitude immediately, then she looked at the tag and called someone over. She had the girl take the backpack to the back and get retagged. I asked her why and she was extremely rude and wouldn't tell me, she said "she'll be right back," with a nasty tone. I told her no one has ever done this and I'm curious why she took the bag to the back. She then escalated it and asked if I wanted to see a manager so I said yes. Tiffany the manager came out and said something about the tag and how they know what tag was what, etc. I then realized they were basically accusing me of changing out the tags?!?Unbelievable! Completely insulting and humiliating to have them do this in front of other customers. Worst customer service I've ever experienced. When they came back out the tag was 5X the price that the original tag was. Absolutely Ridiculous. When I got back home I looked up the back pack because I thought, it must be something really expensive, nope! Similar ones are selling for $16-20. What a nightmare to experience on my day off and for what? A cheap backpack that was DONATED to Goodwill? I hope someone sees this review and takes it seriously and does an audit of that store and the people working there. No one deserves to be treated the way they treated me and my gut is telling me this isn't an isolated incident. The reviews support my opinion on that. If anyone higher up sees this and wants more information please feel free to contact me. I usually don't donate to goodwill but needed to get rid of some things that were too good for the trash. Gresham goodwill was close by so I chose to go there. What a terrible experience I pulled up the worker came out with a cart and not a word from him. No hello, nothing. No help with the boxes. Maybe they are not allowed to help. I don't know. But maybe move things on the cart so the rest of the stuff fits easier? Not even a thank you for your donation. Won't go there again. read more

There was a really nice and professional greeter at the front. The store was really well organized and looked similar to a Kohls or Marshall's. I bought a throw pillow that was in excellent condition, some Vincent Camuto shoes, and some brand new socks for a very good price. I will definitely be back. read more

Only store that you cannot try on used clothing. That's not even the worse thing Found dishes that I saw at dollar tree that's I've personally purchased and have the same for triple the price-that's bad. When I asked someone why they don't have access to dressing rooms I was given a weird look and they shrugged. If I'm gonna pay the same price for a shirt or any clothing that is the same price as Ross dress for less that's not used I should be able to try it on. 7.99-12.99 for a used shirt is the same price at Ross but only difference is one was free and donated and Ross is new. Gresham Goodwill is far and away the best Goodwill I've ever gone to. I've been visiting Goodwill's for over 20 years because there are some truly great finds to be had and sometimes I just haven't had the money to go to high priced stores. The changing rooms are nice and the staff is generally friendly. There are always multiple employees in the racks cleaning up other people's messess so that everything looks sharp and the product you are looking for is easy to find. The store is clean and things are well organized. Not a long wait for the cashier's and there's a friendly greeter at the door to make you feel welcome. Pricing is reasonable. They even hosted Job Connection for a while. I haven't paid enough attention the last few times to know if they still do that or not. It's a great service which helps the disabled find jobs that can work with that persons specific disablities so there is a nice fit between employer and employee from the get go. I've used this service before and it really saved my life. I think it's important to remember that Goodwill was not designed to be a high end store. They can't always do the bells and whitles which those stores do because they don't charge the same amount of money as those stores. It's exceptionally good for what it is. I've never gone in and been disappointed. You'll have a good experience too! read more

Goodwill tries to fool you into thinking they are non-profit......it used to be the go to place to pick up affordable clothing, shoes, and household goods. Those days are gone. You still have the mish-mash of oddly smelling clothes, odd items, and old books. But for old smelly clothes and particle board used furniture they are not giving anyone a deal. With their poor treatment of customers and employees alike I feel more comfortable shopping and giving my donations elsewhere. read more

Never before have I been treated so badly at any retail establishment as I was today at Gresham Goodwill. I'm not going to write a long explanation here but I will be calling there corporate office tomorrow. It was register 5 and she was absolutely the rudest sales employee I've ever come across. I was told I was wrong, and then sat in disbelief as she told me how wrong I was and how rude I WAS. I'm never been rude to salesperson in my life. Pre Pandemic I was browsing for gently used furniture. There were all the chairs... even recliners with the handle on the side. I decided to not get a bin... as I was browsing. There is a large parking lot outside the front door of this Goodwill in Gresham. I recommend allotting two and a half to three hours for your shopping to get the full experience. There are plenty of racks of jackets, and overcoats. I didn't check the home decor section. But, I did notice that there were new (still in the package) leg warmers. Those were popular in the 1980s. The leg warmers are located near the front registers. There are also more than enough jeans for both men and women. I noticed most of the jeans didn't have any holes in them so I asked one of the workers in that section... does Goodwill accept jeans with holes. I was told they don't anymore,... but they used to (the little holes were alright). I was told that there is usually a line for the fitting rooms, though. One of my local friends recommended that I shop and browse at this Gresham location. It's probably better if you bring a friend who likes to browse the stacks/ racks. read more

Customer service could use some improvement. I am a regular customer that usually visits 1-2 times per week. I was there for an hour and a half a while back ago and was ready to check out and pick up my child from school. They said their credit/debit machines were down and could only take cash. I had no cash at hand, like most people these days, with about $100 worth of items in my cart. I asked if I could have my things held so I could pick up my child and return with cash. They said they "can't do holds." That makes sense on a normal day; however, in a circumstance such as this one, it would be kind to give your customers a chance to pay for their one of a kind items. These are items they got for free for goodness sakes. Very annoying. If this location was not so close to me, I probably wouldn't bother coming here at all. read more

I have been shopping at this Goodwill for now a little over two years and have never come across any problems with exchanging the clothing that I purchased. After COVID they had closed down the fitting rooms and have not since opened them. Meantime other Goodwills in the Portland area have opened there's. Not sure what that reason is. So I have been coming at this location almost every other day to exchange my purchases that didn't fit. Today I had a very unpleasant and even shocking experience. I tried to do an exchange of two items which I purchased 3 days ago. When the assistant manager came, she told me I couldn't do the exchange to some strange and bizarre answer she gave me. The tags and the receipt matched but she said the tags were marked in an "area they wouldn't normally mark" and that it didn't look like an item they carried. WHAT??? I hope your just as confused at reading this as I was to her response. She continued to refuse my items even though they were the same on the receipt and matching tags. When I asked her politely her name so that I could report this concern. She not only had her badge flipped around but she refused to give me her name. An assistant manager whose trained to work with customers is refusing to simply give me her name. I was shocked. I then asked the other employee who stood right next to her and was ringing me up for her name and she also stood there like a mute and didn't say a single word to me and looked at me like I was doing the wrong thing. I was not only humiliated but felt so betrayed. I am a pretty honest person. And I'm not sure why I deserved this horrible treatment. I'm so puzzled. I told them I would be reporting this to the manager. I then found another employee who then gave me the assistant managers name. Her name was Krissy. Totally unprofessional and had no empathy. Her bizarre response made no sense. After back and forth conversations with Krissy she then offered to go look at her camera to find footage of me shopping to purchase these exchanges from a few days ago. She came back 5 min later to tell me yes I was seen on the camera but not buying the one item. My mind was blown. I stood there while she made me look like I'm a lier and a dishonest person. It doesn't make any sense. At that point I left my new purchases that I wanted to exchange it for and felt so sick to my stomach, and emotional with the unprofessionalism and poor customer service that was provided to me. read more

They refused my donation simply because I walked up instead of driving through. The person on the phone told me it was fine to walk up. Then someone else told me it was ok to walk up with whatever they consider a small item or bag. Then she told me I couldn't walk up at all. I don't understand why they would refuse a donation. I simply wanted to not clog the parking lot and wait with my car idling for environmental reasons. I suggest goodwill decide on a formal policy against walk up donations if people are going to be refused. Maybe put up a sign that says no walk ups. read more

If you apparently walk up from a bus, with no car, to give a donation, a box of free items that they will receive 100% of the profits from, you have to stand in line continuing to hold this heavy box, behind rows of vehicles and aren't allowed to donate until the cars in front of you donate first. If this were to happen to me I would love it. I love the smell of fumes on a Saturday. Also I would love to have bigger muscles so it all works out perfectly. read more

Workers are rude. Cashiers and management change the prices last minute after it was already on the floor which is really wrong! This is one of the greedy thrift stores where they over price items more than they really are. They also resell donations from target that were on clearance at target and were cheaper than what this goodwill prices them. read more

After waiting in line 20+ minutes to make a donation, you would think they would be more friendly. They don't even have to do anything but stand there. Also, i was made to stack my heavy box OVER my head into their cart. A trip to the dump would have been easier. The dump doesn't over charge. I have up until this point spent a lot of money here, brought family friends here. Recommended this location because the staff was always nice and you could find pretty neat items. But today when trying to donate my sick mother's things. She's not doing well and we had to downsize her stuff. This is already a stressful situation. And the last thing I except when donating items is to be treated like I'm a complete idiot. Or be yelled at by someone who is taking my donations when I did nothing other than make the best of the cramped situation. They had one truck in a two lane donation drop off. One lane had traffic cones on it so you couldn't get through. I sat there and watched two other cars try to back out after they donated. Mind you it's a cramped parking area. And hard to see who's coming out when you back up and you have to have the rest of the line behind you move back so you can back up. So in the interest of keeping it safer and easier I backed trunk first into the lane. I was motioned at by an employee like "what the hell are you doing" . So I got out and told her that I backed up because of the situation. She proceeded to yell at me and tell me it was a one lane only, and then huffed and puffed and told me "fine don't listen to me" when I was trying to briefly explain that there would be nowhere else for me to go forward to. She walked off and told someone else to help "that woman". I want to donate stuff to goodwill because of the mission. Please get your employees under control and train them properly. We all have stressful days and you never know who your talking to with that kind of attitude. Thanks for making my day worse. read more

I shop a lot of thrift and consignment stores. Some of the Goodwills are decent. This is not one of them. Every time I come here, the selection is pretty sad. Everything is pilled, stained, holey and worn out. There's always a urine smell towards the back, right corner of the store...over the course of three years of popping in every six months or so, the stench is there again. The clothes that are there are always packed far too tightly so there may be some good stuff hidden in there if you have built biceps to smash hangers apart. I wouldn't know. This last time I decided to check out their Halloween decor, as that is my favorite holiday, I was a bit surprised to see grim reaper decor at $30 that I just saw at FM for $20! I know they have gotten in a habit of marking up things to rediculous levels, at times, over the past few years...but sheesh! That's a whole new level of rediculous. I don't know why I keep checking back two or three times a year. I am always reminded why it's been a while yet again. read more

Laughable. $199 for a used twin mattress? I called a regular mattress store and their price was $60. I did this to make sure I wanted to leave this review- a one last chance type deal. This is a buisness that caters to the low income sector and takes advantage of them knowing they cant travel far to compare prices. Calling themselves "Goodwill" should be considered Using a Brand for false advertisement. People believe they are helping their community or buying gently used things for decent prices- they are being misled and lining the pockets of CEOs. Last time we went in Goodwill I was looking for rain boots, because kids feet grow too fast to pay $30+ Their boots were $20 a pop and they were more than gently used. Shame on you for taking advantage of people's poverty. - You sell used things, start pricing them in a manner consistent with used items. If you want to help out your community and pay low prices I suggest going to a real non profit like Salvation Army or a small business used store.The Gresham Goodwill is a sham. read more

I went in with my great grandmother on Thursday. It was frustrating as all heck. people kept walking up in front of our car to cut in line. People would just walk right up and interrupted the young man who was helping us. At one point one of the people dropped a mason jar on the ground right where my grandmother was standing. I'm glad none of the glass shards hit her leg since she's on blood thinners. The young man had to stop helping us to clean it up. He did his best to help out, but I felt like he was stressed. Eventually we finished and went home. I wish they would have stopped the people being rude. I'm reading the comments here and I'm rather shocked to hear the complaints. My only complaint is that there was not anyone to help the young man working outside. The line is very slow. I love shopping there still. I've bought plenty of nice clothes for myself. However, I don't want to donate again with how unruly the people are. But I'll give it four stars because It's a nice store. read more
