I found Hearts Decor because they posted a Facebook Marketplace ad for an item I was looking for. I don't usually love when thrift or consignment stores do this, but in this case, it worked out. I happened to be in the neighborhood shortly after seeing the post and stopped in. The item was still available. It was priced a little higher than I'd like, but they offer a 20% off for first time visitors and that made it a little closer to my budget so I went for it. This is a small store with mostly decor as the name suggests: plates, figurines, chotchkies. It is consignment so the arrangements sometimes depend on what the sellers have available. For example, when I visited, someone was offloading a Disney collection. There is a small clothing area, not much if any big furniture. Most of the pictures on this Yelp page appear to be from an old location. Staff greeted me, offered to answer any questions, and provided a smooth check out. read more

Cleaned out my sister's house. She had to go to an assisted living facility because she had dementia and could not take much with her. it was an entire house with many salable things that went to consignment. They said they sold things when I called and said they thought they had sent us a check but would check. The owner had been sick, she said. Called and emailed them 2 more times. Only heard back one time that they were checking about why we did not receive payment for the sold goods. Guess they are still checking as we never received one dime for any of it. They take your things, sell them and keep the money for themselves. Fraudsters!! Beware of these dishonest people!! My sister could have used the money to help with her living situation as it is very expensive. Sad there are people like this! read more

The selection is varied, and I was able to find a floor lamp. The staff were busy helping someone in a medical crisis and they treated him with kindness and care, despite his strange behavior. I wish they focused more on furniture than random Nick nacks. read more

I really enjoy this store :) they have a lot of smaller knick-knacks, vintage art prints for under $20, books for under $5, and had a sale pile and other items throughout the store discounted as well. Not to mention if it's your first time in let them know and they will give you one item free or discounted. That said, my favorite section personally was the clothes. There were only two racks but I picked up a houndstooth wide leg pant and blazer matching set for $15 (amazing!) and on their hat rack nearby a cute bowler hat for $8. I was also impressed by their record collection which was mainly around $3-5. Lots of employees also stopped to tell me about the discounts and offer to take items up to the counter which was really nice. Everyone was very nice and very helpful! read more

I'm a retired african american senior and stumbled into this shop after retired to the Portland area...went in and was casually greeted by the owner...told her it was my first time and I would take my time looking around. looking around I saw myself spending maybe $1200 for I saw and planned to buy many items I wanted and needed because I recently moved to Oregon from cali. two retired white ladies came in and was greeted with an affectionate hello and thank you for stopping....(i'm tucked away in a corner overhearing the owners interaction with the two ladies)...the owner talked with them and offered them a discount because it was their first visit...she offered them both coffe from the Keruig...other beverages: she extensively explained she was in the business of helping senior down-size....she dealt with not only consignment items but estate items too....a really big spill the owner gave these two senior women. A spill she had not given me ...I do believe because of (1) the darkness of my skin...(2) my laid back appearance and (3) the assumption that I was poor and simply a looky-lu. I stepped from the corner where I over-heard the entire engagement with dismay on my face.. the owner immediately realized I was still in the store....(I think she forgot) when she picked-up on my face the sadness I was feeling.... when she quickly tried to apologize for not offering me a "first time discount" as the two white senior-ladies who had no ideal of what just transpired... I told her I was hurt she did not treat me the same as the two white ladies and politely said I would come back....maybe I will go back and explain to her that living black...living as a disable senior...living under the radar as poort... is a challenge for me everyday...and that her biases and acts of discrimination against me and other dark-skinned citizens is embedded in her subconsciousness....wasn't there some kind of Havery social test that demonstrated dark-skinned folks are seen as inferior....just saying....I experience this every time I venture throughout the world. Horrible attitude for sales,been involved in antiques for years and even sold to important people. The service is so bad that they should pay me to even talk to these people,been to scores of antique shops in Europe and this like trying to buy from communists. You have to repeat yourself over and over and the information you just said does not seem to be absorbed. Good buys,just don't talk to the people there? read more

Rudest staff ever! If I could give this place zero I would. I've never felt more unwelcome in a store in my entire life. I go in to look for a vase and to simply browse. 3 employees are in the store and not a single one said hello or asked to help me. No one said a word to me. BUT, they made sure to let me know they were following me. I went to look at the jewelry and a balding man in a plaid shirt kept coming over checking and staring me down then walking away. Didn't ask if I wanted to look at anything just made his presence known and walked away. Their store has some interesting stuff but it's organized in a way that looks like your grandmas garage threw up everywhere. And overpriced. I saw an egg cooker that was $5 at Bed, Bath, and Beyond and at this place was $9...used! I would usually go back because I'm an eBay seller but they will never have my business. read more

Would give them a 0 if I could. We bought some furniture from them over the phone. Went by the next day to pick up the furniture like we told them we would. The shop was all locked up. It was 4:30 and the shop was supposed to be open until 6. We left several phone messages and have heard nothing back. 2 days later and still no correspondence. Will likely have to call bank to have charges reversed. Update: Owner called us after 4 days. She was out of town and had no idea what had happened. She was very apologetic and offered free delivery. Called ahead to see if they could sell my rug, they said they would. Upon delivery they did not have the capability to display the rug. They offered to set it on the floor. After months I received a check for $150 for my $2500 rug. The check came without any proof of sales. I thought it would at least show how much they sold it for or what date they sold it for for my records but, it just had a check. read more

I purchased a Single Smaller Wine Glass at Hearts Decor Consignment Store a while back. I had accidentally broken one of our other Wine Glasses. The one I purchased from here has a Seal from the Pennsylvania State University on it. It didn't have a Price attached to it, so the Counter Clerk sold it to me for $ 2.00. That was a GREAT Price. There are LOTS of Great things in here, and $ 2.00 LPs as well. :) I'll be back in the Future to find some more GREAT items. read more

Terrible customer service had me waiting for my appt in store to consign. Item for over an hour before even acknowledging I was even there. Let other customers riffle through my belongings while I was under impression it was a staff member going through my items..wasnt given an Inventory list of my items to be consigned at all and it's been a months time. Manager covered for a shady employees mess up of only giving me thier personal number and not the business number for contacting about my stuff. When I threatened to contact the owner directly to the employee they immediately contacted me only to plead with me not to reach out to owner cause it wasnt allowed she just directed me into circles telling me to send them an email with photos of what I want to consign. But one didn't get a correct website to contact 2 they already had my belongings in their possession so I couldn't send anything anyways... and the issue list (SHIT SHOW!) CONTINUES ON AND ON FROM THAT POINT! I WILL NEVER RECOMEND ANYONE TO EITHER SHOP OR COMSIGN FROM THIS BUSINESS AMD I FEEL THEY NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED BY THE BBB CAUSE THEY WAY THEY HAVE BEEN TREATING ME AND MY BELONHINGS WHICH ALL TOGETHER ADDED UP TO WELL OVER $2,500.00 PLUS IN MERCHANDISE THEY REFUSED TO LOG DOWN THAT I TRUSTED THIS BUSINESS WITH TO THIS DATE . Found a sleeper sofa posted from them on Craigslist. Decided to buy it because they claimed they could deliver it and I needed one before my baby was born and we had guests come to stay. Went to the store to purchase it. Calls never returned when I tried to schedule delivery. Excuses and excuses were all I got til I just had to buy a different sofa to have one in time for guests. It's been a month since then and now I'm having to constantly call them to get a refund for the couch I paid for and never had delivered. Maybe they can handle simple transactions but they're too unorganized get any real work accomplished and they just have the worst customer service I've ever experienced. This is a near criminal operation that I wouldn't support. read more

This is one of those places I sort of stumbled upon because it is not really in a an area you might go to often. It is sort of just sitting on a corner and you might miss it if you aren't looking. So here is my advice- take not of the address and go look! If you like real antiques and not thrift shop junk it so worth it. They have good quality/good condition home decor items and a friendly staff. Worth the little extra gas to go off the regular path. read more

What a find I made when I stumbled on this great store. Its like a ongoing high end estate sale. They even have where you can make a offer in a bid box on anything in the store. You never know what you will see when you go in. This store benefits many seniors and people in need. They are so helpful there and you can spend hours there due to sooo much to see. I usually don't write reviews but I wanted to leave one For Hearts Decor. After not being to the store for almost a year when I walked in I was greeted by my name and was offered a refreshment while I shopped, was asked how I like the new improvements to the store....I felt like my visit mean something. Oh and it was so nice to see Sandy their beautiful store mascot she would put Pitbull haters to shame! What a lovely dog! A great compliment to the store. Also, do want to mention that store is always fun to visit and I tell everyone about it. When you go make sure you say hi to Robbin and Rebbecca. One other thing while I was there a very horrible, rude lady was giving Robbin a bad time about not coming down in a price of an item. Robbin kept her smile on and without raising her voice was able to convince the lady she always have to act in the best interest of her consignor. The client finally left with all feathers in place. While I am writing this I have to also say something in regards to the retired african American senior who wrote that 3 page not so good review on HEarts. I am also African American and I have always been treated like gold there. One other thing Robbin has a grandaughter who is half African American. I will assure you she would not treat anybody differently because of their skin. I feel that lady was really out of place. Their is always two sides of the story.. TO bad these reveiws didnt have a place where the company could respond back to a negative review. Anyway, I just want to try to get the word out for Hearts that its a wonderful store to visit. Also, if you are ever looking for something particular ask Robbin. She has found three important things I really wanted to find for me. I give Hearts a five star review!!!!
