We called on Tuesday prior to attempting a 20 mile drive just to go to their store. Glad we called. So we drove to another town where the owners DID answer their phones and we had an excellent shopping experience. The owner of this shop in Honey Grove needs to get up to speed on better marketing practices. And at a minimum the phone message should include days and hours of operation instead of only a very negative message of not answering the phone anymore. This kind of negative put off can NOT be good for business.

You know, I feel like I rarely step into a vintage shop and think "wow this stuff is actually vintage, cool, and in quality condition" -- but Les Muses is everything you dream of a vintage boutique being. And the prices are fantastic on top of it all. There's clothing and accessories and trinkets and more, from 1920s-era tailor-made, beaded flapper/cloche hats to colorful 1970s-era peasant blouses. There's tons of mannequins brilliantly styled in incredible pieces. A fabulous collection of vintage wedding gowns. Fur coats. Negligées. Stunning hats and scarves and shoes. I discovered a gorgeous deep purple shoulder bag/purse from the 60s while Jon found a 1970s-era button up with tiny rainbow colored pinstripes. We're both really excited about our new pieces! I feel I'd need a special occasion lined up to justify buying most of the dresses and hats I admired, at least until I'm ready (and wealthy enough) to exclusively dress in vintage pieces.
