Needful Things works with a nonprofit organization, The Hero Academy, to train service dogs for veterans with PTSD and first responders. This was the first thrift store I went to in Fredricksburg. I chose it because it had the best reviews among all the thrift shops I had looked over in the area. Immediately I was welcomed by a lovely labradoodle dog named Stitch when entering the shop. The staff there were friendly and very professional. This small thrift store has the best prices and displays I have seen since I moved here a few years ago. The Christmas room displays were eyecatching as well as the 40% discounts for Christmas items. I bought a vintage bracelet with dangling good luck charms - too hard to resist with a fair price. Lady's tops and shirts were only $1.75. Sleeping gowns & slips were only $1.75. I purchased a some new stationary, Christmas card set, and clothing with my bracelet. Definitely revisiting this shop in the future.

I didn't find much there but I took the allotted amount of clothes - even though the clothing is jammed into rows, especially pants. Plus, the store is filthy & smells!!! I was told the exact date I could come back, which was in 3 months. However, I didn't go back in 3 months because my husband & I haven't been well. I went back in 4 months & the person who checked me out was not very nice at all. In fact, she was downright rude. When we moved to this area back in June, everything we gave away: clothes, furniture - Everything! went to Provisions. Our mover, who is a very angry person who shouldn't be in the moving business- never gave us receipts for everything we gave away. I won't name the mover - someday they will have to come to terms with how they treat people. But, as far as I'm concerned I would never set foot in Provisions again.
