Needful Things works with a nonprofit organization, The Hero Academy, to train service dogs for veterans with PTSD and first responders. This was the first thrift store I went to in Fredricksburg. I chose it because it had the best reviews among all the thrift shops I had looked over in the area. Immediately I was welcomed by a lovely labradoodle dog named Stitch when entering the shop. The staff there were friendly and very professional. This small thrift store has the best prices and displays I have seen since I moved here a few years ago. The Christmas room displays were eyecatching as well as the 40% discounts for Christmas items. I bought a vintage bracelet with dangling good luck charms - too hard to resist with a fair price. Lady's tops and shirts were only $1.75. Sleeping gowns & slips were only $1.75. I purchased a some new stationary, Christmas card set, and clothing with my bracelet. Definitely revisiting this shop in the future.

I truly emphasized broken. I am disappointed with the parking because it sucks and it's cracked and awkward to get to. My sister recommend it to my family and she says they're nice, but after today no one in my family will be going because of the disrespectful incident with the cashier.

For $100, I left with an incredible folk art diorama ($40), 3 small folk art prints ($3 each), a new handmade boutique quality country chic shawl, a cute ceramic dish shaped like eyeglasses (to hold your glasses), and 2 handmade soaps. That is really incredible. I often leave stores like this empty handed because they are so overpriced, but this was definitely worth my time. The ladies working there were also the sweetest! Also affordable! 3. Fish tacos from the famous seafood spot. These were sadly my least favorite item on our little food tour, the slaw was overpowering but if removed the pan seared fish was flavorless. 4. Wrapped up with some matcha and iced coffee - can't go wrong with those. Enjoyed browsing the little artisan stalls as well. An amazing stop on my trip to DC!

Her response was essentially "just pick something, all you have to do is water them." When I explained again that I was new and looking for guidance, she told me she couldn't help me. As a first time gardener trying to learn, that kind of dismissiveness was discouraging. If it weren't for the lovely woman at checkout, I likely wouldn't return. I ended up going to Ed's Plant World in Brandywine where the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful to a beginner. The difference was night and day. That said, I'm giving 4 stars because the place is really awesome in terms of selection and variety. The woman in the herb section may have just been having a bad day. It's absolutely worth checking out.
