We are just finishing up our room and we will accessorize at this place. I loved the old vintage license plates, the cool furniture and there is so much to offer. This place is behind the KFC on 41 and crystal drive. The building is Maroon and yellow and it is shared with a chiropractor office but you'd never know it as the store has so much room and fine items. Also, you can take painting classes here. Looks like a great place and has real promise. Let's patronize this store and keep them in business. We need more of these local only stores. Hope you agree. Let me know what you think! This place and a place on Bonita beach road towards the beach are my two favorite places. I'll be reviewing it shortly.

Even if you're strapped for time, you'll most likely find something you love. As a petite lady, it's pretty difficult to find vintage clothing that fits right, but I found the most magical dress that not only has a beautiful print but fits perfectly. I was ecstatic to find a dress I didn't need to hem! While it was amazing to strike gold on my first visit, I'll never forget James kindness. He immediately introduced himself and offered help as soon as I walked in. He is extremely friendly and attentive. I felt so valued as a customer. I'll definitely be coming back soon, and I'll make sure to leave enough time to look at all the unique pieces.

I arrived at 4, the shop closes at 5 and I didn't have enough time to explore all the treasures. James knows his stock well and when I asked about hats from a specific era we zipped around the store so I could see examples. Even better was that he talked to me about how to take more modern items and make them vintage inspired for a more affordable option. I came away with a gorgeous 1940s hat that will be wearable with more than one dress that I have and hair do ideas. I also came away with a gorgeous necklace and earrings set from the 1920s to pull together the one vintage 1920s dress that I own. Once James found out I live in VA he was quick to recommend a vintage store in the Northern Virginia area. How extremely generous and in indication of what a great human being! Next time I am visiting, I will drive up and budget enough time to explore the treasures in this shop and not be rushed. Thank you James for starting me on my true vintage journey wisely. I am less intimidated now because of you!!!!

They are only open Thursday's through Sunday so we lucked out. They have only been open in this location for a short while. They do a lot of estate sales and work with realtors and decorators, so they have some amazing one of a kind vintage items. The place is large inside (but tastefully arranges) so you'll want to take your time browsing. And there's even an outdoor area with trellises and patio related stuff. Around every corner is another treasure. But it's so nice to find very reasonable prices that anyone could afford to shop here. The co-owners were very personable and nice enough to patiently answer all our questions. Some of the large dramatic pieces (there's a huge elephant picture for example; furniture) each has a story to go along with them. And the gals are happy to tell you the background. As we were traveling in the area, we were looking at their smaller intriguing items -- teapots, candelabras, pillows, jewelry, small figurines, accessories, etc. etc. If you are a collector, you'll probably find something here you can't pass up to add to your collection. My only disappointment was that e didn't have more time to shop. We had places to go... But next time we are in the area, we will plan to really take our time.

But what really got me was her man employee that had to get the thing out of the store. It's like someone just ran over his cat and then backed back over it again in front of him. He was grouchy and uncomfortable to work with as I had to help him get it taken apart and then out the door. Not a thank you for helping him or nothing. So not only did I pay full price, I didn't get the whole hutch AND I had to do manual labor, but the worst thing of all was his demeanor. Put a freaking smile on your face dude. So off I went looking for my treasure. This place has about 8 aisles under roof. Each aisle has colored lines on the floor to indicate your location. Red line means you are located in the Red Aisle. Blue line is Blue Aisle etc. It was hot and humid today and this place , for the most part , is cooled by ceiling fans scattered about. My suggestion is to visit when the weather is better. ( the winter months ) I walked around for almost an hour and a half before the humidity did me in. Did I buy anything ? Why yes , I bought some junk today. ( LOL ) No treasure to be found this time , There are several food vendors selling various types of food, hot dogs etc. Plenty of seating available in the food zone. If you come when the weather is cooler and spend more time searching for your treasure, I'm sure you'll find it. There are so many items for sale here that even if you don't find your treasure , I'm sure you'll treasure the "junk" you bought LOL. There is free parking and free entry. Only pay for the merchandise you decide to purchase. So that's it for now Yelpers. It's another Ciao , Ciao for now.

Under this roof, you'll find many of the BIG BRANDS from the time period. That separates this antique store from most, and for that reason prices are higher than what you'll find elsewhere. But the brands that this sole proprietor offers are considered priceless by many experienced mid-century antique lovers who can spot quality pieces. She also backs up each mid-century piece w/ knowledge of it & the time period. Do NOT come here seeking bargains; they did not exist on my visit. But if you want authentic, EXCELLENT QUALITY furniture & decor from the 50's thru 70's, you'll be happy you stopped in. This mid-century shoppe opened in February 2021. Owner Joy had spent nine years in the local antique business, and she has lived in this area since 1978. (A long-term, local antique mall owner highly recommended we stop in here.) Joy buys and sells LOCALLY, often using her days off to visit individual homes & estates to select the merchandise she'll soon sell in her shoppe. SHE DOES NOT SHIP. However, she and her son will make local deliveries; that should be discussed @ time of purchase. Please excuse a previous Yelp review where the owner was referred to as a "snob" (w/ NO specifics provided). He awarded two stars for ridiculously unfair reasons-- for not being open when she was busy moving into this location (& had posted her hours online) & because "Scan Design" (that doesn't sell antiques!) can beat her prices. I found Joy to be friendly, professional, & knowledgeable. The shoppe hours are posted for all to see on Yelp, Google, Facebook, etc. They are Tuesday thru Saturday from 10:30 AM to 4 PM. Do not hesitate to stop in to see her showroom. It's simply BEAUTIFUL. I can back that claim w/ photos! The furniture & staging were so incredible that I couldn't stop taking pics:) If you still don't believe me, check out Retro Home's Facebook page. The GORGEOUS pieces almost jump off the page!
