We did not get the bear, but the bear showed us how comfy the couch was. Lol.

Hello everyone. I am Tiffancy and thank you for choosing "A Fancy Review." I've always been into thrifting, yard sales and enjoying a "good find." The saying, "One mans trash, is another mans treasure," is certainly still relevant today. I visited this store often and decided today to review it. I have always been in support of anything positive. Be positive is my motto. My blood type is B + so I'm a just Be Positive. "Goodwill" the name alone is positive and so is what it stands for. Outside of second hand items at low cost, including the popular 99 cent Mondays (which is when I visited this time) Goodwill's profits goes towards putting people to work and that's something I can get behind. This particular location is always clean and the staff work really hard to keep the departments stocked. Because of its popularity, senior discount Tuesdays, and half off color of the day tags the shelves are cleared out pretty quickly by "eager" shoppers. I always see Sharon the store manager, she always greets me and she's always on the floor. Sharon is very hands on. Often she has been my checkout cashier. At check out I always do the round up because the money goes towards Goodwill's career center which benefits those looking for work, and they offer other daily classes on many things from resume building to learning social media. With everything happening this year (2020) I am grateful to have a place like Goodwill in my community. Please be kind when visiting my Goodwill location, leave your problems at the door. Some people can mess up an enjoyable experience over items they are already getting at a discounted price. You have to remember goodwill is 100 percent donated items. Goodwill only sorts them and organizes the items to allow searching more convenient for you. Encourage your neighbors to drop off items in better condition verses being upset at people doing their jobs. Thank you Goodwill, Panola Rd Ellenwood, Ga.

Which is ironic because I have no problem spending 48 hours in a Banana Republic outlet. Not to mention Dillards but I digress.. Granny wanted to go to The Goodwill so we did. It's a fairly new location right off of Flat Shoals Pkwy, in the plaza with Family Dollar. There's parking galore and the store is huge! There's bad music playing (like in most stores) and it's brightly lit. Items range from toys to clothes to furniture. New inventory arrives every fifteen minutes so as you can imagine, there's a lot of stuff! The store is very organized but in a weird, savant sort of way. Shirts are sorted by type (t-shirt, blouse, uniform) and color (pink, rose, fuscia), but not by size. The denim section is just as crazy. They have rows and rows of jeans that aren't sorted by size. We were looking for petites. There's no petite section :(. But the selection is vast, the fitting rooms are clean, there are cool shopping carts and some pretty good sales if you can figure them out. Tiny plastic tabs are attached to each item. If you get a certain color tag (and the color changes weekly) you get a percentage off! I thought the prices were a little high. But my brother (a card-carrying member of Thrifters Anonymous) explained that Goodwill Industries is non-profit. Items are more than they would be at a Value Village because 83% of their revenue is spent on programs. The Goodwill helped over 300,000 people find jobs last year so you're shopping for a cause. A random sample of prices: Slippers $3 Ties $3 Women's pants $5.75 Women's blouses $5.75 Shoes $6 Women's jeans $7.47 Overpriced piece of gym equipment $350 Yes, there are a lot of questionable items. But if you take your time, I'm sure you will find some diamonds in the rough. Happy treasure hunting!

So, please tell me why they didn't mention they would only accept one (1) 13 gal trash bag of items! To make things worse they had five (5) employees working and only one (1) sorting bags for the buys. The others were on their cellphones and having idle conversations with each other. One (1) young lady was playing with her belly button while on the phone! The customer service here is awful. So sad because the concept of this place is a money maker. I'll be sticking with Poshmark.

I came back less than 2hrs later and was told they couldn't find my bag of clothes and that they must have been sent out with donations. I ask where is that, I'm told "I don't know". Everyone moves on as if it's no big deal. The "store manager" checks the computer and says they never even inputted my information into the system. So I'm asking what's the recourse in this situation and she looks at me blankly. After some back and forth she suggests 20% off an in-store purchase. I ask for the owners information and she directs me to the Plato's website. I feel like this situation was not handled properly at all. How do you just lose someone's items and have no solution for them??? I brought in a lot of bake brand items and items that still had tags on them and I'm just shrugged at about my items being given away. I could see if I didn't come back in time but I was back within 2hrs. There's no excuse for how this was handled or the lack of care and concern that was given to me after losing my items

Therefore, I left a handwritten complaint. The ladies today Denae and Jasmyn both really need customer service training. When you ask a question it's like you're being talked to as if you are a child. I asked what's the sale and discount today and Denae says " by point to the board on the damn wall behind the cash register and then proceed to say it's also posted on the door or something she said. I didn't respond. No smiles at all from either one of them. Walking into the store Denae says welcome, but Jasmyn never opened her mouth. She acts like she is a little snooty. My first bad experience happened about 1-2 months ago and I let it slide. I cleaned my closet out during spring break dropped bag off and came back nothing was touched. Denae says it had an Odor or something or smell likes cats. I told her ma'am I don't have any cats nor do I Like cats. She said, " we will take them if you want to wash them and bring them back". I looked at her and walked out the store. Bear in mind I came back a week a two later with the same clothes still in my bag, dealt with different Associates in the store and 1/2 of my large bag was taken. I saw my purses and clothes hanging in the store. This was an INSULT to me, but I did let it slide. Today I am not letting it slide. Then need to know how to talk to customers in a more professional way. Doing consignments is my side hustle, I have an online sells business too and I work Full time as well. This probably will be my last time coming back. I would not recommend anyone to the store ever. They definitely will know why from me. Terrible Customer Service. 6-16-2026 Ms. D. Roberts Hampton GA

What made matters worse, she served another person who sat down after I did, which lead me back to the hostess desk because I did not want to have a bad experience at the bar!!! I sat outside and the wait was very long before a familiar waiter (the saving grace of this experience) came along. Another waiter brought my drink spilling out and I had to ask for napkins, otherwise it would be a mess. Food is always on point! I had the 'Fruit of the Sea' Special. DELICIOUS!! Service from my waiter, Curtis, was EXCELLENT and exceeded my expectations!! I've been to Coalition a few times before because it is my go-to for seafood. However, the ambiance was just off this time.

Unfortunately, this visit was the complete opposite. We were seated near the kitchen, which wasn't a problem. The restaurant had a soccer game on the TV, but it was quiet and there was no indication anything unusual was about to happen. Without warning, a group of approximately eight staff members gathered just a few feet from our table and erupted into an extremely loud celebration, screaming at the top of their lungs as if they were in a sports bar. The outburst startled us so badly that it literally sent my husband into atrial fibrillation (AFib). He was visibly shaken and extremely upset, and we were prepared to leave immediately. Our waiter could clearly see how distressed we were. Since we had already ordered the lobster bites appetizer, he kindly offered to move us to another table. We appreciated his effort and accepted. We finished the appetizer, but by then the evening was ruined, so we left and had dinner elsewhere. What disappointed us most was the complete lack of management involvement. Our waiter knew exactly what had happened and how upset we were, yet not once did a manager come to our table to apologize, ask if my husband was okay, or acknowledge that the staff's behavior was completely inappropriate for a fine dining restaurant. This wasn't about cheering for a game--it was about professionalism. Guests who choose a steakhouse expect a calm, enjoyable atmosphere, not to be startled by employees screaming just feet away from their table. We have always enjoyed Coalition, which makes this experience even more disappointing. I hope management addresses this with their staff so no other guests have their evening ruined the way ours was. We will not be back. Later Added: I just found out the Manager was one of the ones screaming. Pathetic! We went to PappaDeauxs which was half the price and honestly better food & calm atmosphere! Not a sports bar!
