Yay, NorCal Recycling now has a Lincoln location! I enjoy going to the Roseville location (behind…read morethe Douglas Hobby Lobby), but I happened to be in the Lincoln this past week. Didn't really want to drive all the way out to Douglas. Asked someone about Lincoln recycling and they mentioned this one behind Safeway. Looked it up on Yelp and recognized the name, NorCal Recycling, to be the same as the Douglas location. Drove over there and was surprised to see owner Adrian there too! Turns out this is a newer location and he goes between both. Very professional, friendly and I was in and out in a matter of minutes with a cleaner garage and cash in my hands. I love how the other employee sees me coming in my car and comes over with the bins all ready to go. Even helps me unload! That's good customer service! Definitely recommend NorCal Recycling--all locations! (I think they have another Roseville location too, other than Hobby Lobby. Not quite sure where, though).

The gas station on Lincoln Blvd near McDonald's that used to do recycling kindly gave me this tip to look behind the Safeway on Lincoln Blvd. I went with all my cans and bottles counted sorted by plastic, glass, aluminum, and size. My kitchen looks a little less "trashy" now! You get $0.05 CRV per container under 24 oz and $0.10 CRV per container 24 oz and over. Make sure your container mentions CA CRV on it because not all containers qualify for CA redemption. Why write a review on a dump?  Because garbage is the necessary evil of all communities.  Like it…read moreor not, humans create an enormous amount of waste. And it needs to go somewhere.  The Western Region Sanitary Landfill stands out above many others as one of the best places to take your garbage.  For a nominal fee, you can rid yourself of the unwanted, unneeded, obsolete, outdated, broken, damaged, and useless items that plague your property. Old appliances, e-waste, hazardous waste and even used tires are accepted free.  Recycling is a top priority which prompted me to write this review. We have come here a few times already having to part with old TV's, a stereo system, and computer. It was a bit sad to see them go after serving a long, and faithful service. It's funny how some appliances and electronics that were part of the household for many years, makes me feel guilty about leaving them behind at the dump. The employees are nice and helpful in directing as to where you separate your garbage.  There is constant activity going on as trucks move to and fro, keeping the garbage under control and somewhat organized.  I especially appreciate, that they accept our used batteries at no charge! And we seem to accumulate a lot in a short amount of time! The importance of a dump is not thought of much, until an item you no longer want gets in your way, and then it becomes one of the best places to prove the phrase "out of sight, out of mind".   Where does it all go?  I don't think I want to know.

We brought a small U-Haul truck full of old furniture, cardboard, scrap metal, and numerous other household trash and paid $70 to dispose it all. Much cheaper than the $700 we were quoted for a dumpster. You basically wait in line and drive up to the booth where you'll show them what you have to throw away. Then you'll join a line to back your vehicle up to a bunch of dumpsters down below. It's fun and easy! Overall, it was an easy and practical process. Didn't even smell that bad either! Would definitely come back here again!
