Even a few golf clubs in a bin. Beyond that, it's a fairly even split between furniture and hardware/tools. If you're trying to build a house from the ground up, this is a great place to start for cheap. They have everything from wood and nails to finishing touches like paint and light fixtures. To be honest, I didn't even make it into building #2, marked "building materials" and with several doors leaning up against the outside. I imagine that's where you'd truly get your start. In all, this is really just the retail leg of the bigger picture of what Habitat does. It can be humbling to visit and learn that we don't need a full set of matching appliances or a Dwell magazine-worthy home to truly live life. It puts the basics back into perspective.

This antique mall, or as we referred to it, hoarders, overstock, is terribly overpriced and…read moreseveral areas of the store looks like a hoarder ran out of room in their home and there are three storage units and decided to dump some of their stuff here several areas are so full of glassware and things piled on the floor that you cannot even shop the booth and it's been like this for years. I'm not sure how many pieces they move in a day or a year but coming here a year after year after year I've noticed the same stuff sitting on the shelf with faded price tags dusty items just don't seem to move and when I do purchase something, which is rare, I noticed people in line are making very small purchases of small items like maybe a record or a couple pieces of glassware. I'm sure they move larger items every now and then but it seems like the same stuff in the same booth and display cases that never moves. There are plenty of malls out there where items are priced to sell and there's always fresh items to look at so I recommend looking around. If you're in the area, go ahead and stop, but don't have high expectations. If you live outside the area, I don't know that I would waste the time or the gas to visit this one.

I honestly didn't want to leave--it was that good of an experience. From the moment you walk in, you can tell everything in the shop has been thoughtfully and intentionally curated. So, alas, Yelp world, let me help you discover Vignettes. Located in downtown Hudson, Vignettes is a seriously beautiful store. This gorgeously curated shop is a perfect place to pick up any type of gift: engagement, bridal, baby, birthday, or hostess. Its so hard to describe their items. When you first enter, there's beautiful art amongst elegant tablewares and entertaining pieces. It flows into candles and aromatherapy, then into holiday decor. Then it turns into beautiful jewelry, elegant baby items and high-end women's clothing. They also have some of the most gorgeous cashmere, cape, poncho and scarf selections i've seen in the suburbs. Don't underestimate this shop for some of the nicest high-end clothes in the area! I believe they also do monogramming on many of their products. They had a few examples on the shelves which looked super interesting. I'm only giving Vignettes 4-stars because I have yet to make a purchase. The items are high-end, so when I make my next purchase, you can expect an update! The monogramming may be in my near future!
