Upon entering this location, this location's look and feel felt as if there was little to no pride from any member in charge nor its employees. The whole store was 90% disorganized and dirty, as if there was no recovery before, during, or after hours. The clothing was impactful, however unshoppable due to it being overstocked. In other areas, it was bare with a lot of empty space, giving the opportunity to remerchandise. An employee was without a sense of urgency to have merchandise to the floor and ready to buy. Instead, he was looking at every single item and taking minutes to determine where to place it. It's clear that if the employees can't become efficient nor confident in doing their jobs due to the disarray of the floor, it's evident that: -Leadership lacks leadership to help their employees succeed by giving them clear direction and prioritizing cleanliness and recovery -The customers feel overwhelmed with the mess(how I felt) -Customers don't deserve to shop in a messy, unappealing store Goodwill is not a flea market, and I know this location can do better. read more

Prices are a bit high here generally and I think the staff tends to put stuff to the side for themselves. Also, purchased a cd and when I opened it a few days later there was no cd- they refused to refund me the cd as I had no longer had the receipt. I mean that's just bad business. I would have been fine with an exchange too. I haven't been back. read more

Price gouging on donated items. Every time I go here I'm appalled at the high pricing on some of the items. Clothing is being priced just below or equal to retail price. And the removal of the dressing rooms in a clothing store makes it difficult to determine the fit of an outfit. read more

This is, hands down, the worst Goodwill we have ever shopped at, and we visit a lot of them. The pricing practices and policies seem to fly in the face of all other Goodwill experiences. Friday afternoon at 4:20 and we were the only shoppers, kind of says it all. Rack after rack, priced at say $4.99 - only to find each item marked up to $12.99/14.99. We will never come back. I live on the Southshore and have been very, very disappointed in the changes at all the Goodwills on this side of lake. They prices have gone up on everything but the selection has gone down. They now put anything with a brand name in their "Special Price" section and price clothes at $10-12+. It's no longer a bargain. And they're turning the stores into a "Dollar Store" of sorts - Bringing new stuff made in China, cheap stuff. So it was refreshing to visit your store. It was neat and orderly. Lots of inventory. I have never shopped at a Goodwill store, I have, however, given very nice donations. Many times! But I finally stopped donating to Goodwill. I donate to any other charity, other than Goodwill. When I learned how they go through and handpick certain items and then price them the way they do; then the rest of it ends up in a landfill. It made me sick! There are people that would give anything to have some of these items. They can't afford to go and shop in the store. There are homeless people that need clothing, and other personal items. And then Goodwill just throws it in the landfill if they don't think they can make money off of it!! To be honest I'd rather just take all of my stuff in my car and go drive around and find homeless people and just give it to them. I have some nice clothes from stores likeAnn Taylor, The Loft, J.Crew, Chicos. And shoes, so many shoes in like new condition. I haven't donated any of it because I want to give it to a women's shelter. A shelter where women who have escaped abusive situations are being helped to rebuild their lives. I've been donating to Goodwill for many years. I dropped some clothes and hangers and they gave me crap about hangers. Said they didn't take hangers. I said can you pitch them for me? Throw them away? Got real serious attitude from a big round guy that's was supervisory like. He said don't bring back any hangers again. I said I won't bring anything back to Goodwill again. Had a very underpaid and really hate my job kind of attitude. A real pissy guy. Ended my relationship with Goodwill forever. I will never donate to them again. I was going to buy a very used Saints t-shirt. They wanted over $8 for it. It's USED! They've lost their damn minds!!!

If I could give this store no stars I would. Clearly the staff are not trained on how to deal with customers Not their fault but management. But that's not the main issue. PRICES! Store prices are suppose to be lower due to being used/like new items. 1/3 of the price. So im suppose to pay 5$ less for something that missing everything? I used to shop the Covington store weekly, but I just made my last stop! For some reason the workers from the Mandeville store has switched places with the Covington store! I have never heard of stores doing this, but whatever. It must have been to price things HIGHER, like the Mandeville store prices! I won't shop the Mandeville store because the prices are outrageous! Now the prices at the Covington store have gone up! I can't believe the prices! $29.99 for a vase! I could go on and on! They look up the prices on Ebay and try to sell them for what people on Ebay sell them for. Most people selling on Ebay, have bought most of their items from somewhere- they were not donated to them! Come On Goodwill! Your items were donated to you! I really hate this because I used to love to find bargains at Goodwill! I also donated a lot of things twice a year. There are other places who accept donations that are really providing lower prices for those in need. Not trying to get rich! I will say that the staff has always been nice though. read more
